  • Patent number: 5673835
Abstract: A beverage container holder comprising a basket which is suspended from a vehicle. The basket has first and second rings which define a vertical axis. The vertical portions of a U-shaped support member and a suspension arm are mounted to the rings. The horizontal portion of the support member and a portion of the arm provide a bottom support for a container. An engagement segment of the arm, which intersects the axis defined by the rings, is inserted into a mounting orifice in the vehicle to install the holder. The edge of the orifice engages a center portion of a semi-circular shaped engagement segment of the arm. Generally a beverage container is inserted through the first ring and rests on either the second ring or the horizontal portion of the support member and the arm portion. Therefore, the center of gravity of a loaded beverage container holder is vertically aligned with the point of engagement between the vehicle and the holder.

  • Patent number: 5579968
Abstract: A holder for beverage containers such as cans, bottles, mugs, and insulated drink wraps that is mountable on an inclined tubular section such as a golf cart handle is disclosed. The beverage holder consists of brackets and expansion brackets, that are slid together using their reverse dovetail joints. There are also 2 thumbscrews (2 bolts), one for each side, that are screwed in until there is an equal amount of pressure against the tubular handle. This will create an outward pressure of the dovetail joints and prevent them from sliding apart. The thumbscrews also serve as the beverage container receptacle hanging point. The arm that extends from the receptacle has a keyhole-slot at the top. This keyhole slot will accept the thumbscrew head and then the shank, once pulled in a downward motion to lock in place. When in use the receptacle will be free swinging, so upon tilting the tubular section, the receptacle will tend to maintain a vertical orientation.

A golf ball holder is included having two upstanding, resilient walls spaced apart the distance of a golf ball. Tapered ridges are formed along the inner surface of each wall to hold the golf balls therein. Golf balls are inserted in the holder by pushing the balls by the ridges which cause the walls to resiliently move apart to allow golf balls inserted or removed.End stops are included at the end of the walls to prevent the balls from rolling off the tray and having holes for holding golf tees. Snaps are formed around the perimeter of the tray for attaching straps to hold towels or other items.A female portion of a bayonet mount is formed on the lower surface of the tray. A clamp having the mating portion of the bayonet mount is attached to the golf bag cart by a rubber bushing.

  • Patent number: 5083736
Abstract: A pencil holder and accompanying score card entry panel assembly is provided for mounting on the steering wheel of a golf cart. Pencils of various sizes and constructions are held by the pencil holder in a readily accessable position for manual retrieval and use by means of a resilient o-ring, which resiliently and frictionally grasps the pencil body. The pencil holder and an accompanying golf scorecard holder writing surface panel mate to form a clip-in assembly on a golf cart steering wheel assembly. The pencils are guided into the o-ring by means of grooves extending on either side to accomodate right or left handed users. A hooded cover extending over the grooves and the groove entry path protects the pencil point extending from the o-ring so that it does not get inadvertently damaged during storage, withdrawal or use of the cart and steering wheel.

  • Patent number: 4989767
Abstract: A cooler for releasably mounting on the front end of a motorized cart, such as golf carts. In one preferred mode, the cooler is mounted on the inside front portion of the cart and comprises a multi-sided enclosure having coplanar side walls with a shape resulting in the rear wall and bottom wall that are substantially coplanar with the cowling and floorboard respectively. A hooked plate member provides one method of securing the cooler to the cart; a toe plate at the bottom also secures it. In an alternate mode, the cooler attaches to the outside front portion of the cowling and has a bottom wall that is coplanar with the cowling while the top wall is horizontal; the cooler is attached with a planar hooked member. Both modes of the invention can utilize rubberlike or other preshaped members to place between the cooler and the cart to allow for additional universal adaptation of the coolers to various carts.
