    Abstract: A holster supports a shotgun in an opened condition at a shooter's side. A pair of rods extend between front and rear walls. The rear wall has a tongue for mounting the holster proximate the shooter's waist. The walls are spaced to receive the pivotally connected barrel and stock portions of the shotgun therebetween so as to prevent the shotgun from sliding off the rods. The rods are spaced by a distance less than the distance between the breach sides of the forearm and the trigger guard of the shotgun in the closed condition and greater than the combined heights of the forearm and the trigger guard so that, when the barrel and stock portions are at rest on the rods, the weight of the barrel portion causes the breach side of the trigger guard to engage against the rod on which the stock portion rests so as to prevent forward rotation of the shotgun off the rods while the weight of the barrel portion prevents rearward rotation of the shogun off the rods.

    Abstract: A device for mounting to the rear rack of an ATV for holding a gun or bow for transport includes a horizontal anchoring member attached the device to the rear rack of an ATV by U-bolts. A corner brace is welded to one end of the anchoring member. The scabbard or bow is held in place, when mounted on the pins, by threading and tightening a mounting knob on each pin. A bow adapter is made up of a main support member mounted on the mounting pins and secured by the mounting knobs. The support member is provided with a U-shaped bracket and a C-shaped bracket for frictionally holding a bow. A dual mount adapter may be used to mount an additional gun boot or bow adapter. This dual mount adapter includes a mounting plate engaging the mounting pins and secured along with a first scabbard or bow adapter by the mounting knobs.

    Abstract: A frame system that converts to a four-leg support base for use with backpacks. The base eliminates the need to carry a tripod or monopod. Two threaded bosses are use to accommodate attachments such as a shooting rest or to accommodate surveillance or test equipment. The main part of the frame replaces the top hoop found on many external frame backpacks. The frame has two angled members that accept a pair of legs. These legs are made of several parts to permit many configurations. The frame can be removed from the backpack as well. This makes a free standing base that can be used in seated or prone positions; it also leaves the pack portion free to be used separately. Nylon sides or hoods can be attached to make the pack assembly act as a blind or a windbreak. Also, an aluminum table can be attached to the frame for cooking, etc., as desired.

The trigger guard rests against the second piece of leather with the stock extending over the cut-out portion, so that the lobe will prevent the shotgun from falling away from the shooter.     Abstract: Prior art slings used to support rifles during aiming and firing respond to the blood pressure pulse in the shooter's upper am resulting in rhythmic stress in the straps which extend to connect with the rifle. This interaction between the prior an slings and the shooter's pulse results in movement of the rifle and a reduction in practical accuracy. Slings of the present invention incorporate two attachments to that portion of the sling system which surrounds the shooter's arm and two non parallel straps extending to the rifle. By virtue of the location of these two attachments, the shooter's pulse can no longer create rhythmic stress in the straps extending to the rifle. Motion of the rifle during aiming and firing is reduced and practical accuracy is increased.

    Abstract: A gun rack engages the rear of the back seat of a sports vehicle and enables weapons to be carried in a manner tilting toward the front of the vehicle. The rack has no middle struts which would interfere with the scope of rifle and thus allows the rifle to be carried scope down, a much more stable configuration. The rack of the present invention is completely foldable from and to a storage position, and contains specialized structures to enable tie down. Tie-downs are made with respect to eyelets which exist in the rear of sports vehicles, and tie down is effected through the use of quick release straps. Tie down is achieved both at the upper and lower end of the rack of the present invention. Self tying is achieved through a wrap-around strap, or through a decorative over cover. The decorative over cover helps to disguise the presence of the weaponry and thus to reduce the incidence of theft.

    Abstract: The gun storage and rapid removal mount of this invention is for securely retaining a shotgun or the like against unauthorized removal with the mount providing for rapid removal by authorized persons. It comprises a trigger guard cup and a forward lock clamp. The lock clamp engages the barrel and a magazine tube just forward of the shotgun receiver to prevent forward motion of the shotgun in the mount. The trigger guard cup prevents rearward motion. The lock clamp is both lock- and spring-retained. When its lock is released, the gun can be rotated out of the clamp against spring force. The spring also permits reinsertion of the shotgun into position against the spring force.

    Abstract: A rifle sling for steadying the left arm of the shooter, comprises a length of band or strap material (1) which has an upper arm loop (8) at one end and a hand loop (6) at the other end, said loops being inter-connected by a middle portion. The upper arm loop (8) has a double portion extending between a tightening buckle (2) and an adjustment buckle (3). By using these buckles to adjust the length of the double portion, both the upper arm loop (8) and the middle portion of the sling can be adjusted to fit the shooter. The sling may be worn in a non-operable condition with the upper arm loop (8) tightened around the upper arm of the user and with the hand loop (6) tucked in under the upper arm loop. When assuming a shooting position, the user loosens the hand loop (6) and puts his four fingers through the loop, thus tensioning the middle portion of the sling and steadying his arm while the fore-end of the gun rests in his palm.

In use tube 5 is secured to a wall by means of a screw, access to which is gained through hole 34. Cross-bar 11 is inserted through the trigger guard of a gun and inserted into hole 34.
