Abstract: A wearable holder for securely holding an electronic device, for example, a laptop is disclosed. The wearable holder is configured to enable the user for securely holding the electronic device on a person's body in a hand-free manner, thereby effectively utilizing the electronic device while avoiding droppings. The wearable holder comprises two straps having a respective first and second ends, at least two corner support holders, and a buckle clip. The corner support holders are securely sewn underside of both straps at spaced locations, wherein the two corner support holders are adapted to support the corners of the electronic device. The buckle clip is disposed at respective first ends of both straps for adjusting the straps.

Abstract: A portable fishing-equipment organizer with a tubular outer frame and a mounting pane attached to the frame. At least one pouch is attached to the mounting pane, along with at least one spike-shaped rod holder that may be detachably mounted. A telescoping tripod may be attached to the frame. When the organizer is carried, the tripod may be collapsed. When the tripod is extended, the organizer may be self standing, with the pouches at a convenient height for access. The organizer may be carried by one or more shoulder straps that may have pouches attached to them.

Abstract: A stripping basket for use in fly fishing from surf or a jetty having a smooth interior surface free of protrusions and having a converging lower end and adapted to be mounted to one side of an angler below the waistline slightly tilted forward for facilitating line stripping and casting during use.

Abstract: A system for carrying and changing pre-rigged fish hooks comprising a fish hook carrying device including a flexible support structure having a hook retainer end and line retainer end. The hook retainer end includes a fish hook retainer and the line retainer end includes a plurality of sleeves. Each separate sleeve is for accepting a weight attached to the line of a different pre-rigged fish hook. Each separate weight provides a constant downward straightening force on the line to which it is attached when the carrying device is flexed by a fisherman. The system may further include pairs of indicia, one on the hook retainer and one on a corresponding sleeve, to aid a visually impaired fisherman to keep the line of each pre-rigged fish hook untangled along the support structure.

Abstract: The pliable fisherman's caddy apparatus provides hands free carry of fishing equipment. Additionally, hands free carry of two fishing poles is provided. The apparatus is worn by the provided waist belt by a user, much like a fanny pack. Absolutely no impingement on a wearer's torso, arm movements, or leg movements are in any way experienced. Quick movement of the case from back to front, on a wearer, is as easy as spinning the belt. As the fisherman's caddy apparatus is lightweight, and waist worn, a user does not experience any balance issues when negotiating varied terrain.

Abstract: An improved stripping basket for fly fishing is disclosed. The stripping basket is easily compacted for stowing while on board a boat, or for packing the stripping basket in a suitcase for travel to a fishing destination. The basket comprises multiple removable line separators and drainage holes in a base plate. The base plate folds towards the front wall of the stripping basket. The front wall has multiple slits that correspond to the arrangement of the line separators. With the line separators still attached to the base plate, the stripping basket can be quickly unfolded for use. This is convenient when on board a boat, awaiting a turn to fish. For longer term storage, such when packing in a suitcase for travel, the line separators can be removed for maximum portability.

Abstract: The invention is a fish transport sack specifically designed to transport larger fish such as salmon or steelhead by wading or pedestrian fisherman. The salmon is a large fish approximately 10 to 30 pounds in weight and lengths sometimes exceeding 30 inches. A fish of this size is cumbersome to carry by hand in the traditional method with a stringer, particularly when long distances need to be traversed across rugged terrain such as steep hills and fallen trees. The dangling of the fish on the stringer causes considerable strain on the fisherman's hands, wrist, arms, and shoulders. The discomfort is compounded when several large fish need to be carried simultaneously. The fish sack carrier (10) is of an oblong fish-like shape in order to position the fish in a vertical position with its head downward. This position reduces strain on the fisherman by evenly distributing the weight on their back and shoulder.

Abstract: A tackle box rod carrier is provided with a case which includes internal, divided compartments for transportation of small fishing tackle items while the exterior of the case offers standard hanger pairs for releasably securing a series of fishing rods thereto. The rectangularly shaped case has a bottom hinge to allow the compartments to separate during access while pivotable covers for each compartment prevents spillage of the contents once the case is closed.

Abstract: A chest fly box system having a harness, a base piece for supporting a fly box, and rotatable, hinged fasteners that secure fly boxes of various dimensions at the chest of a fisherman. The rotatable, hinged fasteners comprise hook-and-loop fasteners. The system may include a fishing rod holder that supports a fishing rod in a substantially horizontal orientation, freeing the hands of a fisherman. A bottle holder comprising resilient tubing holds fluid bottles in a horizontal orientation in an easily accessible location. The chest fly box system comprises soft material at the surface in contact with the chest of the fisherman. The soft material may include a pocket.

Abstract: A harness-like fishing gear holder vest upon which various pouches are mounted for storing fishing supplies and caught fish. The harness includes two shoulder straps on which are attached six pockets, three on the front of each straps. The two straps are attached to a waist belt, which has two additional pouches attached to the sides. A chest strap is provided between the two shoulder straps. Two adjustable rod-holding rings for holding a fishing rod are attached to the straps. This enables the user's hands to be free for performing various other activities. A detachable line cutter and a snap hook are placed on the waist belt by looped snap bands. Pouches are attached to the shoulder straps by clamp-like clips. The device is fully adjustable, fastened with VELCRO belt and shoulder adjustment. The vest is worn by an angler while wading in water up to his chest.

Abstract: A device for holding an ice fishing rod is disclosed. The device is comprised of a rod holder, a base and a strap. The rod holder is shaped to hold an ice fishing rod, at the handle of the ice fishing rod, in a substantially horizontal position. The base is shaped to fit the thigh of a fisherman. Preferably, the base is a container with a hinged lid, the container having a plurality of compartments to hold fishing bait and fishing lures. The strap is attached to the base and is of sufficient length to fit around the thigh of the fisherman. Preferably, the strap has a buckle at each end. This device is intended to be strapped to the thigh of a seated ice fisherman. An ice fishing rod may be inserted into the rod holder. The fisherman may fish and tend to bait or lures at the end of his or her fishing rod hands-free.

Abstract: A fishing lure storage and display apparatus is provided which features transparent storage receptacles releasably suspended from a hanging rod allowing the lures to be easily viewed and readily accessed. The storage receptacles retain the lure in isolation from the outer environment thus sustaining the shape, color and scent of the lure and protecting it from crushing damage or entanglement. The receptacles can take on a variety of forms such as a flexible polypropylene pouch or a tubular member constructed from a semi-rigid plastic.

Abstract: A case for storing and carrying ice fishing equipment and related tackle comprises a bottom portion having a bottom panel, upwardly extending front, rear, and end walls which define a bottom portion cavity. The case further includes a top portion having a top panel, downwardly extending front, rear, and end walls which define a top portion cavity. The top and bottom portions are pivotally coupled along the rear walls thereof, respectively, such that the portions are movable between open and closed configurations. Each cavity is substantially occupied by a foam insert which defines a plurality of compartments. The case further includes a partition pivotally mounted between the top and bottom portions. When the top and bottom portions are in an open configuration, the partition is selectively movable between a first position parallel to the bottom panel and seated upon a respective foam insert and a second position parallel to the top panel and seated upon the other foam insert.

Abstract: A fishing tackle box worn about a waist including a tackle box portion having a front face, a back face, a top face, a bottom face, and opposed side faces. The front face is defined by a plurality of compartments being slidably disposed therein. The front face has a cover panel hingedly coupled thereto. The cover panel is openable to a position essentially perpendicular to the front face. The opposed side faces each have a belt strap extending outwardly therefrom. The belt straps each have corresponding male and female buckles for securing the tackle box portion around a waist of a user.

Abstract: The present invention includes a cylindrical container closed at one end and opened at the other. The container is wrapped with Velcro material, or a foam material, to which leader and fly rigs can be easily wrapped and kept in place. A lid is provided to cover the open top of the container, the lid is hingedly attached to the container to prevent inadvertent loss of the lid. The lid is also provided with cross slits so that small items can be pushed through the slits for storage within the closed container. Further, a clip is fixed to the container so that the receptacle can be easily attached to a fly fisherman's vest.

Abstract: A fish hook lure and leader carrier is formed from plastic. It has a basic configuration having a tubular structure with two caps, one on each end. The interior of the tubular structure houses the hooks and/or lures in the interior cavities. The leader extends through slots in the interior cavity and wraps around the outside of the tubular structure. When the two caps are snapped onto the ends the leader is held firmly in place. The interior cavity may contain a septum separating it into two cavities. These cavities may have end walls that occlude half the opening at each end of the tubular structure. The end walls are not opposite providing access to the two cavities.

Abstract: The present invention provides a fisherman's bait and tackle box which is compact and contoured to comfortably fit about the fisherman's waist when attached to a belt worn by the fisherman. The wearable box of the present invention organizes and provides easy access to fishing supplies and accessories, thereby eliminating the time consuming problem of searching through a conventional tackle box or vest, especially when re-rigging a broken leader while the fisherman remains wading in the water. A plurality of separate compartments neatly organize accessories such as fishing leader, bait, fishing lures, split-shot, and fishing hooks, for instance. The fishing leader is fed through a hole in the front of the present invention and can be cut at a desired length by a cutter located under the leader. Pushing a spring-tensioned dispenser button dispenses a single split shot. A rod holder is mounted on the box to permit both hands to be free to re-rig a broken leader.

Abstract: A device for attaching fishing bait to a supporting surface such as a belt worn around a fisherman's waist includes a hook which is attached to a flexible strap. The strap has a pair of opposed broad sides, each of which are juxtaposed to a lid. The lids and the strap are secured to each other by a mechanical fastener passing through a central opening in each of the lids and an end of the strap. The lids are provided with threads for engagement with jars of fishing bait. Preferably the strap is formed of a flexible fabric and the hook is connected to a buckle passing through the strap, the hook being rotatably attached to the buckle.

Abstract: A floating holder for a wading fisherman's accessories (e.g. fishing rods, tackle and coolers) is comprised of a floating platform having a flat bottom and a plurality of fishing rod supports. The floating holder also has hooks or similar means for attaching the holder to one end of a tow line while the other end of the tow line can be attached to the fisherman such that as the fisherman wades through the water the floating holder will be towed along behind him. The floating holder can also have a hook or similar means for supporting a fish stringer or fish bag as well as a lighting means for safe night fishing.

Abstract: A carrier for fishing lures includes a cylindrical tube having a plurality of holes along the side wall. A hook of a fishing lure may be inserted into any of the holes and positively retained when the carrier is in its normal substantially vertical position due to gravity. The shank of the lure hook will likewise depend downward to lie substantially parallel to the major axis of the cylindrical tube, and cannot be removed from the hole due to the abutting of the hook shank against the side of the tube. However, when the tube is swung to a horizontal position and twisted so the lure hook retaining holes face vertically upward, the hook shank will fall to a vertical position due to gravity to be perpendicular to the major axis of the tube. Due to the relatively small diameter of the tube, the hook may then be lifted from the retaining hole in the tube for use, or a lure may be installed for storage in the tube.

Abstract: A fishing creel which has individual compartments for fish which can be seen through see-through netting is disclosed. Each compartment has a one-way door for easy insertion of the fish. The compartments at the other end are blocked by a sliding panel, or alternatively by an end flap, which can be easily removed to allow access to the fish. The creel can be carried through the use of a shoulder strap or through use of belt loops.

Abstract: A fish line stripping basket for releasable attachment upon a body surface of a fisherman in a position to receive line stripped from a fishing reel includes a base wall, one or more side walls and a rear wall. The walls together define a volume open at the top, with apertures for water to drain from within the volume. Slope-surfaced protuberances are disposed in a spaced apart pattern upon the base wall and project upwardly within the volume to improve release of the line during casting.

Abstract: A boat utility platform has a pair of adjustable mounting clamps for hanging the platform from the gunwale of a boat. Each clamp includes an upper end which hooks over the gunwale and has an outermost tip for clamping abutment against the outside surface of the gunwale, and a lower end, the latter of which includes a rationally biased pivotally mounted jaw member for clamping abutment against the inside surface of the gunwale. The upper end of each clamp includes a hooking segment that follows the path of a substantially semi-elliptical arc, then tails to the outermost tip.

Abstract: The lure container comprises adjustable shelves that can be configured to any size lure chamber. The units of the lure container have a glass or other transparent cover so that the appropriate lure can be predetermined before removing from the container. An important feature of this invention is the dual purpose adjustable handle which can be used both as a handle to carry the container and as an attachment which connects the lure container to the side of a boat. This dual purpose adjustable handle is made up of two complementary pieces or parts which when fitted together constitute either the handle or the boat attachment means.

Abstract: A live well for fish, bait well and ice chest attachment for a boat has an elongated container having a bait container formed therein and having a separate insulated ice chest formed therein. The elongated container has a cross-section of the approximate cross-section of a fishing boat and has a plurality of straps fixedly attached to each end of the elongated container. A hook bracket is attached to the other end of each of said plurality of straps and shaped to hook over each side of a boat gunnel. Each of the plurality of straps has a loop on one end and is located in an opening on one end portion of the container and a rigid rod inside the container extends through each loop. A pair of separate handles can be attached to the gunnel hooks for handling the boat attachment.

Abstract: A combination net holster and fishing creel comprising a water impervious back and a net front portion secured together about the sides and bottom to form an upwardly opening net receiving pocket sized to receive a fishing net therein. A belt loop is formed in the back portion for receiving a belt about the fisherman's chest and a cord may be employed to secure the lower portion of the apparatus to the user's leg. Fish may be kept within the pocket, while water freely circulates through the net front portion.

Abstract: A customizeable, foldable equipment carrier with replaceable equipment carrier portions. The equipment carrier includes a first carrier and a second carrier. The second carrier is adapted for removable attachment to the first carrier. A plurality of pouches are provided on each of the carriers. The pouches are formed with parallel sides and a crimped lower seam such that they "puff" out to produce a voluminous storage pouch for storing of equipment therein. The equipment carrier may be customized by removal and replacement of the second carrier with a new carrier containing different tackle or equipment or a carrier having different pocket configurations.

Abstract: The tackle box of the invention comprises a support member having structure for securing it to a front portion of the waist of a user, a first receptacle pivotally mounted to the support member and adapted to move between a closed position disposed upwardly against the support member and an open position disposed generally horizontally in front of the support member, and a supplemental cover and shelf member pivotally mounted to the receptacle for movement between a closed position disposed in overlying relationship to the receptacle and an open position disposed generally horizontally in front of the receptacle. A second receptacle is mounted to a front wall of the first receptacle and the contents thereof are accessible without opening the first receptacle, whereby items likely to be chosen more often may be stored in the second receptacle. A plurality of removable rods are frictionally retained to the shelf member for holding flies, hooks and other articles.

Abstract: An artificial fishing bait holder is provided and consists of a container with various compartments and a hingeable lid which is pivotly and removably connected to a mounting bracket. The container includes a carry handle so that it can be transported to other locations when removed from the mounting bracket.

Abstract: A game bag for a scuba diver is provided having a flexible tubular envelope with an open end or mouth and a closed end. The mouth is coupled to the diver's weight belt at his hip while the remainder of the envelope wraps around behind his seat and adjacent leg between his legs where it is again couple to his weight belt at his front abdomen. The legs serve as a doorway into the receiver portion of the bag. Game is pushed into the mouth of the bag with one hand, between the legs which are opened to allow passage, and into the receiver portion where it is retained by the closure of the legs on the bag. A separate latch on the mouth of the bag may be used to close the mouth although it is not required to retain the game in the receiver portion.

Abstract: An access structure, fabricated of a length of cylinder, having a flange provided at its bottom end, and a hinge door connected therewith, is provided for sliding insertion through an aperture located within the lid or cover of any compartment, such as an insulated box, other storage structure, or an ice chest; and a counterbalance spring holds the door to the bottom of the cylinder normally in a closed condition, but that under the weight of any fish or other aquatic animal deposited thereon, will open to allow deposition of such into the compartment for temporary storage.

Abstract: A fishing rod holder which mounts on the hinged lid of a tackle box and allows the lid to be opened and closed without disturbing the rod holder. A mounting base is bolted on top of the tackle box lid and receives one or more rod holding brackets which are latched to the base in a manner permitting them to turn to track a fish. Each bracket is a C-shaped device having a wire gate which closes its open side after the rod has been passed through it and into the bracket. The brackets can be removed from the base and stored in the tackle box when not in use.

Abstract: A trotline storage and dispensing device is disclosed. The device includes a base wall, first and second pairs of side walls extending upwardly from the base wall, and a divider wall extending substantially parallel to each of the first pair of side walls and between each wall of the second pair of side walls. A pair of storage compartments, each bounded by the base wall, one of the first pair of side walls, the divider wall and the second pair of side walls is thus formed. Hook storage and dispensing tubes are disposed at the top of and extend along each of the first pair of side walls. Each of the storage compartments receives a trotline, while the hook storage and dispensing tubes receive and retain hooks connected by leaders to the trotline so that as the storage and dispensing device is moved away from an anchored end of each trotline, the trotline, leaders and hooks are pulled over one of the second pair of side walls and out of the storage and dispensing device.

Abstract: A fishing tackle box especially designed for use by wading fishermen includes a generally rectangular box with accordion fold expandable pouches. The tackle box includes flotation compartments to ensure flotation of the tackle box in the event it is dropped into a body of water. The tackle box also includes holding straps for a fishing rod and a variety of pockets and compartments for holding various fishing accessories. The tackle box is constructed from a heavyweight fabric material and is provided with VELCRO closures for the various assorted pockets.

Abstract: A catch bag has a flat lid of resilient material which is hinged to a frame around the opening of the bag. A diametrical slit in the lid allows easy insertion of articles, such as speared fish, with one hand while the lid retains articles securely inside the bag. When access to the contents of the bag is desired, the hinged lid facilitates emptying of the bag. An elastic wrist cord opposite the hinge can be used to keep the bag near at hand while leaving the user's hand free, and also to hold the hinged lid shut. A carrying handle is attached along a side of the bag for convenient transporting of the bag on dry land.

Abstract: A portable, vertical oriented tackle box which may be releasably mounted to a substantially vertical wall in a fishing boat. The tackle box also includes a shoulder strap so that it can be used while a fisherman is wading or surf casting. A multiplicity of interchangeable inserts for holding various fishing lures are included along with a cover capable of serving as a drop tray. This polypropylene tackle box is also resistant to warping and cracking caused by expansion and contraction resulting from temperature changes.

Abstract: A fishing tackle box which is preferably constructed of moldable lightweight material such as plastic, in which the box includes a plurality of hinge-mounted drawers which are operable from open to closed position, in which positive latches are incorporated to hold the drawers in closed position, in which the drawers may be moved from open to closed position with one hand of a user, in which the drawers are easily interchangeable with similar drawers so that spare drawers may be substituted for and interchanged with those mounted in the tackle box without changing the contents of the drawers.
