Abstract: An apparatus and method for a multipoint, flexible fishing rod holder that may be quickly and efficiently engaged and disengaged is disclosed. Both the rod handle and rod blank may be supported by separate flexible devices that accommodate all sizes and styles of fishing rod such that the rod may be maintained in a generally horizontal orientation. In one embodiment, the supporting apparatus can be retrofitted to existing fishing apparel. In another, the supporting apparatus is integral to the apparel at the time of manufacture. In certain aspects, the rod holder can be quickly engaged and disengaged to allow an angler use of both hands to facilitate various activities such as changing lures, adding bait, positioning bobbers, or wading with a staff.

Abstract: The invention is defined as a personal watercraft gunwale rod holder complete design, fastened to a personal watercraft gunwale port or starboard. It functions as a support for rod and reels or accessories and incorporates a structure that allows unobstructed access to rod and reels of the personal watercraft port or starboard. An incorporated locking mechanism functions as a positioning lock that also allows quick release by the user of the personal watercraft. This invention allows to lade different accessories such as rod and reels, gaff, net, flag, or other accessories. This invention is designed for all personal watercraft users, including those with mobility restrictions that have restricted access to the personal watercraft when obstructed by placement of items.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a dialyzer holder to attach a dialyzer to a dialysis machine. During priming of a bloodline prior to a dialysis treatment, the dialyzer holder grips a dialyzer in approximately the center of the dialyzer, but allows movements of the dialyzer in an arc motion using two axes of rotation. The holder enables the dialyzer to move to a position where air can be primed from the dialyzer and, because the dialyzer can move toward the dialysis machine, this motion eliminates stress on the tubing connected to the bottom and top of the dialyzer and reduces the length of bloodline tubing necessary to accommodate dialyzer movement. The dialyzer holder incorporates an attachment point for a venous chamber for use during the priming procedure, enabling the venous chamber to move with the dialyzer, further reducing the tubing between the dialyzer and the venous chamber.

Abstract: A mounting apparatus to secure a pair of solar panel rails to a S-tile roof and minimize penetrations or damage to the roof's rafter is provided. The mounting apparatus includes a lower hook assembly with a plate coupled to the roof's rafter and an upright tab coupled to the plate, and an upper arm assembly coupled to the lower hook assembly's upright tab, the upper arm assembly having a generally U-shaped member with a first symmetric half member and a second symmetric half member, each symmetric half member having a slot to receive a fastener that secures one of the pair of solar panel rails thereto. The upper arm assembly is slidably mounted to the upright tab of the lower hook assembly to permit height adjustments of the upper arm assembly relative to the S-tile roof. The apparatus can also be used with M, W and clay tile roofs.

Abstract: A stabilizer that extends from the hull of a watercraft below the waterline when needed is disclosed. The stabilizer produces added drag on the watercraft's counteracting a tendency to change bearing. Stabilization chambers of the stabilizer hold semi contained water to produce an extended drag effect by adding lateral weight due to the water that is semi contained within the chamber during use. The restricted flow of water into and out of the stabilizer and the outer dimensions of the stabilizer provides lateral drag to mute any ambient drift.

Abstract: A collapsible-adjustable rod holder. The collapsible-adjustable rod holder primarily designed to support a rod for ice fishing. The rod holder comprised of a pair end sections in hinged communication with a middle section wherein the sections are articulated and movable in hinged fashion. The end sections include an indent, the indent sized for the cradling receipt of a fishing rod and rod handle.

Abstract: Methods and devices for securing an antenna or similar device to a structure to inhibit undesirable movement when stowed or folded for travel. A truss having a mount and a plug can be used to secure an antenna to a structure, in particular a rod holder of a boat. A truss can be used to secure the antenna and prevent undesirable contact with other structures. Particular embodiments can be configured to accommodate antennas that, when stowed, are not located near a structure.

Abstract: A portable fishing-equipment organizer with a tubular outer frame and a mounting pane attached to the frame. At least one pouch is attached to the mounting pane, along with at least one spike-shaped rod holder that may be detachably mounted. A telescoping tripod may be attached to the frame. When the organizer is carried, the tripod may be collapsed. When the tripod is extended, the organizer may be self standing, with the pouches at a convenient height for access. The organizer may be carried by one or more shoulder straps that may have pouches attached to them.

Abstract: A holder for transporting one or more fishing rods having first and second parallel rod supports, spaced notches in the top of the first rod support, corresponding spaced openings in the second rod support, a pair of similarly sized clamping bars each pivotally affixed at one end to opposite ends of the first rod support, compression material covering the notches in the first support, a constant support mechanism connecting each clamping bar to the first rod support, and a latch releasably securing the clamping bars to the first rod support. Fishing poles are positioned with the tips in the openings of the second rod support and the handles in corresponding notches in the first rod support, with the clamping bar maintained in an open position at any angle by the constant support mechanism. The clamping bar is closed with the compression material compressing around and securing the handle within the notch, and secured closed with the latch.

Abstract: A transportable fishing pole holder holds, transports, and stores multiple fishing poles and includes a frame having cylindrical members made of a durable, weatherproof material. A lower member includes a plurality of receiving apertures which accept the butt of a fishing pole. The upper member includes a corresponding plurality of upper apertures, with each aperture having a foam interior to retain a rod segment of the fishing pole. A user slides a fishing pole out of the upper aperture and lifts it upwardly out of the lower member for use. The frame is removably attachable to a plurality of clip mounts which are installed along a support surface of a structure. This allows the entire frame, along with the fishing rods, to be removed and transported after use.

Abstract: A fishing rod retainer system is a device for enabling a fisherman to conveniently carry and transport several fishing poles at once, without tangling the fishing lines, to a fishing location for use. The device also uniquely enables the fisherman to stably place the multi-fishing-rod holder assembly in a vertical position on the flat outside surface of the second end-cap pole retainer, onto a flat ground surface, with multiple fishing rods securely placed within the plurality of first pole receivers and second pole receivers. The first end-cap pole retainer and the second end-cap pole retainer have in line concentrically located apertures that are about 2 inches in diameter so that the multi-fishing-rod holder assembly is able to be slideably inserted onto a secure post for complete stability during usage.

Abstract: An accessory platform for fishing rods, light bars, flag masts and similar accessories often used on small boats and watercraft is secured to a mooring cleat by means of an underslung clamping bar having a transversely positioned anchor finger or fork. The anchor finger is positioned to penetrate the arch between cleat legs. The clamping bar is then raised against the cleat arch bight by rotation of a suspension screw.

Abstract: An improved fishing rod caddy that is removably mountable to the bed of a pickup truck is presented. The improved rod caddy securely holds fishing rods in a horizontal position in a pickup truck bed such that the rods are free from bending loads created by wind resistance and are protected from undue jostling, abrasion or marring during transport.

Abstract: An apparatus wearable on a torso of a user to support and article such as a fishing rod is disclosed. The apparatus includes a primary panel defined by an external side and an internal side that has a contour substantially conforming to the torso. The primary panel is also defined by a central section interposed between a left peripheral section and a right peripheral section, with the central section including at least one open recess that is receptive to the article. The recess is defined by an outline on the primary panel and a depth that extends into the primary panel. The apparatus also includes at least one harness member that cooperates with the primary panel to secure the same to the torso and redirect horizontal forces against the primary panel to a vertical direction. The harness member is engageable to the shoulders of the user.

Abstract: A device for protecting a fishing rod which comprises a hollow telescopic tube having a closed top end and an open bottom end. The hollow telescopic tube fits over and provides protection to the fishing rod. A mechanism is for securing the hollow telescopic tube at the open bottom end to the fishing rod.

Abstract: A combined fishing rod and beverage holder for insertion into and removal from an opening in a marine vessel is disclosed. The combined fishing rod and beverage holder includes a substantially tubular hollow cylindrical member which is formed with an upper portion and a lower portion. The upper portion has a diameter which is larger than the diameter of the lower portion. The diameter of the upper portion enables a beverage container with or without an insulating jacket to be placed within and retained within the upper portion of the combined rod and beverage holder. The upper portion includes an outwardly projecting flange which includes apertures through which fasteners can be placed to secure the combined rod and beverage holder to a surface, such as a gunwale of a marine vessel. Other types or secure devices can also be employed to secure the combined rod and beverage holder to any surface.

Abstract: A fishing pole holder harness including an adjustable waist strap, adjustable shoulder straps, an adjustable front chest strap and first rear strap attached to the shoulder straps. The waist and shoulder straps and the front and first rear straps are formed of high-strength 2-inch and 1-inch webbing, respectively. Each of the waist and front chest straps has a centrally disposed buckle. Attachment means for fishing accessories include grommets disposed on the waist strap; a second attachment body, which is a buckle female portion, disposed on each of the shoulder straps above the front chest strap; and a D-ring attached to a securement strap having an opposite buckle male portion removably attached to a lower end of each second attachment body. At least one hollow cylindrical holder tube is attached to the shoulder straps rearward side. A tackle box is alternately removably attached to the second attachment body.

Abstract: A portable angler cooler apparatus includes two skis removably connected to a bottom-most circumferential edge of two wheels such that the wheels may remain elevated above a ground surface during transportation. A handle is pivotally coupled to a proximal end of the cooler such that the skis are removably connected to the handle after the skis are detached from the wheels. Each of the skis may have a pair of spring-loaded clips mated to opposed longitudinal edges of each wheel respectively so as to be selectively biased between tensioned and equilibrium positions when engaged and disengaged from each of the wheels and the handle respectively. A T-bar locks selected ones of the compartments at a closed position to prohibit premature disengagement from the cooler during transport.

Abstract: The pliable fisherman's caddy apparatus provides hands free carry of fishing equipment. Additionally, hands free carry of two fishing poles is provided. The apparatus is worn by the provided waist belt by a user, much like a fanny pack. Absolutely no impingement on a wearer's torso, arm movements, or leg movements are in any way experienced. Quick movement of the case from back to front, on a wearer, is as easy as spinning the belt. As the fisherman's caddy apparatus is lightweight, and waist worn, a user does not experience any balance issues when negotiating varied terrain.

Abstract: An improved stripping basket for fly fishing is disclosed. The stripping basket is easily compacted for stowing while on board a boat, or for packing the stripping basket in a suitcase for travel to a fishing destination. The basket comprises multiple removable line separators and drainage holes in a base plate. The base plate folds towards the front wall of the stripping basket. The front wall has multiple slits that correspond to the arrangement of the line separators. With the line separators still attached to the base plate, the stripping basket can be quickly unfolded for use. This is convenient when on board a boat, awaiting a turn to fish. For longer term storage, such when packing in a suitcase for travel, the line separators can be removed for maximum portability.

Abstract: A weather-tight storage device and carrier for a single or multiple fishing rods and reels releasably mounted to a vehicular roof carrier rack. When not mounted on a vehicle, the storage device and carrier is manageable enough to be hand-carried and may also serve as a stand for the rods and reels. The storage device and carrier includes a carrier box housing the fishing reels and a portion of the associated fishing rods and an anchor portion for securing the distal ends of the associated fishing rods to the vehicular roof rack.

Abstract: The fishing rod support is a versatile device providing support or bracing for the handle or butt of a fishing rod against a portion of the angler's body. The support includes an elongate pad joined to a crosspiece having three sockets. When the butt of the rod is placed in either of the two aligned sockets, the pad is generally parallel to the rod. This allows the pad to be placed under the arm to restrain upward movement of the rod butt as the angler lifts the rod. Alternatively, the butt of the rod may be placed in the third socket, with the pad aligned generally perpendicular to the rod. In this configuration, the pad is placed against the forward body of the angler (e.g., upper thigh, hip, waist, etc.) for bracing. The fishing rod support is particularly useful for anglers having back pain or limited upper body strength.

A guide is formed in the base and extends a selected distance along the base. The locking mechanism, which is slidably mated to the guide, is shaped and dimensioned to slide within the guide. The locking mechanism includes opposed sides edges and a latch hingedly connected to each of the opposed side edges. The latch is movable between an open position and a closed position. When the latches are moved to the closed position and the locking mechanism is slidably moved within the guide, the locking mechanism is retained in the closed position by the base so that the fishing rod and reel combination cannot be inadvertently removed.

A strap surrounds the waist and secures the front panel against the abdominal region. A coupling arm is mounted pivotally to the front panel. A receptacle at the free end of the arm travels in an arcuate path as the arm pivots, maintained at a predetermined working angle relative to the front panel. The receptacle is lined with an elastomer to provide a secure hold of a fishing rod at the handle. Elastomeric cushioning material is applied to inside surfaces of the frame members and front panel for increased user comfort.

The pin (13) is inserted into a belt hole (18) so as to secure the fishing belt buckle (2) and belt (17) around the user's waist.

The sliding lock plate is secured to the retention base with a padlock. A rod retention plate may be used in conjunction with the locking storage system for fishing rods. A second embodiment includes a contoured rod base and a sliding lock plate engaged with the contoured rod base. A third embodiment includes a rod tray, a rod support and a swinging lock plate.

A second lid covers the secondary compartment and has a retractable rim for hold an additional tackle box therein. A plurality of fishing rod holders extend within the second lid and secondary compartment.

Abstract: A fishing pole holder is designed especially for use in catching large deep sea fish and has a bent and telescoping stanchion that is received in a standard pole holder found on a gunwale of a boat and other locations. A telescoping cross bar is attached to the top of the stanchion and has a padded member on one end and a gimble assembly on the other. The gimble assembly holds the fishing pole and allows pivoting along an X and Y axis. An arrester assembly is provided about the gimble assembly for safety should the fish pull down hard on the line of the fishing pole.

Abstract: A tackle box rod carrier is provided with a case which includes internal, divided compartments for transportation of small fishing tackle items while the exterior of the case offers standard hanger pairs for releasably securing a series of fishing rods thereto. The rectangularly shaped case has a bottom hinge to allow the compartments to separate during access while pivotable covers for each compartment prevents spillage of the contents once the case is closed.

Abstract: A portable fishing rod holder for use when fishing with a single or multiple rods designed using a cylinder shaped body with u-shaped grooves which have been machined into the cylinder for the placement of fishing rods while in use, and which has at least two long, self-adhering straps to attach the rod holder by each end in the horizontal or vertical orientation to stable objects of varying shapes and sizes which may be found at the water's edge, and which has shorter straps which extend over the rod shaft after it is inserted into one of the u-shaped grooves and which hold the rod in place, and which has an opening at either end of the cylinder body which is large enough to receive the grip-end of the fishing pole, and which has hook storage openings.

Abstract: A harness-like fishing gear holder vest upon which various pouches are mounted for storing fishing supplies and caught fish. The harness includes two shoulder straps on which are attached six pockets, three on the front of each straps. The two straps are attached to a waist belt, which has two additional pouches attached to the sides. A chest strap is provided between the two shoulder straps. Two adjustable rod-holding rings for holding a fishing rod are attached to the straps. This enables the user's hands to be free for performing various other activities. A detachable line cutter and a snap hook are placed on the waist belt by looped snap bands. Pouches are attached to the shoulder straps by clamp-like clips. The device is fully adjustable, fastened with VELCRO belt and shoulder adjustment. The vest is worn by an angler while wading in water up to his chest.

Abstract: A fishing rod storage device and method for storing and carrying fishing rods such that the rods are held in a stable configuration without allowing the rods to touch each other, thereby avoiding damage during storage or transport. The device includes two racks, each having a paired plurality of holes and slots for accepting the rod tip and handle. The slots are preferably T-shaped. The rod storage rack allows fishing rods to be stored vertically by mounting on a wall or horizontally by mounting on a wall or a ceiling, for example. A retainer cord holds the fishing rods securely in the storage device to prevent accidental displacement during storage. The portable fishing rod storage rack typically includes two elastic cylindrical bodies each having a plurality of indentations or grooves which accept the rod element of the fishing rod and which are made of a plastic foam material that retains as many as about eight fishing rods.

An elongated channel having a plurality of vertically aligned slots is formed along the right side portion of the base. A rod support hook formed with a wide U-shaped portion for receiving a fishing rod handle and a narrow inverted U-shaped retaining portion that is removably secured within one of the vertically aligned slots. Elongated slots are formed in the top portion of the base above the compartments for receiving a belt.

The present carrier provides a compact load while sufficiently segregating the poles to prevent the tangling of lines, lures, hooks etc. The carrier preferably comprises a durable yet lightweight polymeric material to protect and secure the fishing rods in place. The carrier is also configured with a strap for hands free transportation.

Abstract: A device for holding an ice fishing rod is disclosed. The device is comprised of a rod holder, a base and a strap. The rod holder is shaped to hold an ice fishing rod, at the handle of the ice fishing rod, in a substantially horizontal position. The base is shaped to fit the thigh of a fisherman. Preferably, the base is a container with a hinged lid, the container having a plurality of compartments to hold fishing bait and fishing lures. The strap is attached to the base and is of sufficient length to fit around the thigh of the fisherman. Preferably, the strap has a buckle at each end. This device is intended to be strapped to the thigh of a seated ice fisherman. An ice fishing rod may be inserted into the rod holder. The fisherman may fish and tend to bait or lures at the end of his or her fishing rod hands-free.

The body support harness for a fishing rod includes a base member for positioning adjacent to a thigh of a wearer, a first mounting strap for mounting the base member to the thigh of the wearer, and a rod holder for receiving the end of a fishing rod. The base member has a front surface and a rear surface for positioning against the thigh of the wearer. The first mounting strap extends from the base member. The first mounting strap is designed to releasably encircle the thigh of the wearer. The rod holder receives the end of the fishing rod. The rod holder is pivotally mounted to the base member for adjusting an angle between the fishing rod received in the rod holder and the base member.
