Abstract: A device for dispensing tickets from a continuous strip of paper (1), each ticket being constituted by an end segment of the strip suitable for being grasped by a recipient of the ticket and detached by applying traction to said end, the device comprising a mechanism for pinching the paper along a line (3) extending transversely across the strip (1), and downstream from this mechanism, a cutting blade (4) extending substantially transversely across the strip, with the strip bearing against the cutting edge (5) of the blade when the above-mentioned traction is applied, wherein the cutting edge (5) of the blade is formed by a straight-line segment that intersects the plane of the strip of paper (1) in contact with the blade (4) prior to cutting and containing the pinch line (3), with the projection (7) of the blade onto said plane converging towards the pinch line (3) from the point (6) where the paper first comes into contact with the blade (4).

Abstract: An improved carton sealing sticker and cutter, comprising a closed housing body including all elements, a cutter device which can press blade to extend out during tape delivery to cut it off, a safety device which controls blade not to extend out while tape is not delivered for use, a guide plate guiding tape delivery and positioning it and a tape sleeve ring having brake function engaged to the housing body. All elements are connected in the closed housing body. The end part of tape roll 23 sleeving tape sleeve ring is drawn out to stick to guide plate and extends appropriately long. Blade 24 of cutter device may extend out for cutting only in use state; safety device in ordinary time controls blade not to extend out to ensure safety.

Abstract: A dispenser for a roll of flexible material has been described. A housing supports the roll for rotation about an axis, and a braking and severing device is mounted to the housing. The braking and severing device provides a lever and a contacting element. The lever includes a cutting edge so that as the flexible material is pulled against the cutting edge, the lever causes rotation of the contacting element against the roll to thereby prevent further rotation of the roll. In the preferred embodiment, the braking and severing device comprises two thin, flat elements secured together with a spacer to provide a gap for passage of the flexible material.

Abstract: A cutting device for a roll of material wherein a cutter bar with a cutting blade fixed thereto is arranged between two upright posts. To cut the material from the roll a length of material is withdrawn from beneath the cutter bar and lifted against the cutter bar. The cutter bar is allowed to pivot about a longitudinal axis until an upstanding rib and a notch in the cutter bar clamp the upright posts between them and lock the cutter bar against further pivoting motion. The material is then torn across the cutting blade since the cutter bar cannot be further pivoted.
