On Pivoted Carrier Patents (Class 226/160)
  • Patent number: 7419077
Abstract: A device for transporting film (5), in particular unperforated film (5) without slippage, in particular intermittently, powered by at least one electric motor (8), having at least one element such as a needle point (2) mechanically engage film (5) by entering it and transporting film (5) from a start position to a stop position. An element such as a pressure plate (7) may be used in one embodiment to hold the film steady during exposure and a movable element (7) may act on the film to hold it during exposure. At least one mark may be exposed on film (5) to aid in picture registration. At least one roller (31) controls the length of loops of film (5) before and after the aperture. The roller (31) may transport the film (5) by friction, or, in another embodiment the roller (31) may have radially mounted needles (2) which penetrate film (5) to hold film (5) while transporting it.

  • Patent number: 6409067
Abstract: A device for picking up a strip of film, in particular for removing a support film from a robot for automatically placing electronic components, wherein the film is grasped either between two wheels rotating in opposite directions, the wheel entraining the wheel in one direction and then running over the film in the opposite direction, or else between the fixed jaw and the moving jaw of a clamp hinged about a pin, the moving jaw being moved towards the fixed jaw by coming into contact with a part of the machine which then moves the clamp as a whole together with the film.

  • Patent number: 5685472
Abstract: A feed device for advancing a web into a processing station which acts on the web while the web is in a standstill position. The feeding device includes a first drive roller around which a second swivel roller oscillates between an upstream and downstream position to create a loop to take up the web during a dwell in the movement of the web through the processing station. The swivel roller is driven at the same speed as the drive roller by an arrangement of drive pinion and a counterweight is also rotated at the same rate by a gear arrangement. The counterweight is mounted on a lever which will oscillate in an opposite direction to the movement of the swivel roller so that the moment of inertias are balanced during operation of the device and the torque on the drive for the rollers is balanced.

  • Patent number: 5197645
Abstract: A roll type stock feed apparatus for a power press. The stock feed apparatus has a pneumatic system for actuating the feed rolls between stock feed and stock release positions. Pressurized air in a substantially constant pressure is applied to one side of a pneumatic actuator to press the feed rolls into feeding engagement with strip stock between the rolls, and pressurized air is selectively applied and exhausted from the other side of the actuator piston to respectively release and apply feeding pressure to the stock feed rolls. An adjustable stop is provided to limit movement of the actuator pistons in a stock release direction.

  • Patent number: 5163595
Abstract: Pivot arms which carry the pressing bar are hingedly mounted to the rocker. At their opposite ends these pivot arms are hingedly mounted such to the frame that in one position the axis of rotation of the lower feeding roller coincides with the pivotal axis of the pivotal point at which the pivot arms are hingedly mounted to the frame. The pressing bar is thereby hingedly mounted via a link connection to a pivot point at the frame that a parallelogram of movements is provided, based on which the pressing bar is moved exactly perpendicularly against the workpiece to be arrestingly pressed.

  • Patent number: 5123273
Abstract: The present invention relates to a hog ring clamping device such as a C ring clamping device. In the hog ring clamping device of the invention, a knock pin is mounted to a movable member of a jaw driving unit, a pivotable member is mounted to a hog ring clamping device body, the pivotable member is pushed against the knock pin by means of spring, a feed member is mounted to the pivotable member so that it can come into contact with hog rings engaged with a magazine, and a presser wheel is mounted to the hog ring clamping device body through a unidirectional rotating unit so as to be in contact with the hog rings engaged with the magazine.

  • Patent number: 4205773
Abstract: A contacting device for making a wire connection on a microcircuit by applying ultrasonics or thermocompression. A contacting horn is provided with a capillary which, in turn, is associated with a wire clamping device for feeding or clamping the wire during movement of the contacting horn. The wire clamping device has two clamping members for grasping the wire. The clamping members are movable relative to each other for clamping the wire, and both are arranged to pivot jointly to move the clamped wire in its lengthwise direction. A controllable actuation unit is each associated with the second clamping member which moves relative to the first, and the two clamping members jointly. The clamping members may be formed as a strip for grasping the wire between outer end regions. The second clamping member is mounted on a support of the first clamping member, and its outer end is pressed by a leaf spring fastened to the first clamping member.

  • Patent number: 4202482
Abstract: A bonding head of the type having a bonding tool mounted in the bonding tool holder is provided with a pivotable wire clamp which is movable toward and away from the rear of the bonding tool. The wire clamp is pivotally movable to three distinct positions by a single solenoid. The wire clamp is opened and closed by a second solenoid. The solenoids are mounted on the pivot axis of the bonding tool holder in a manner which substantially prevents the shock force of actuation of the solenoid from being imparted into the bonding tool holder or the bonding tool during a bonding operation.
