Including Means To Move Driver Carriage Patents (Class 227/111)
  • Patent number: 11814258
Abstract: A binding unit includes first and second movable bodies. The second movable body includes first and second shaft portions. A stapler is secured to the second movable body, and the second movable body is swingably supported with the stapler by the first movable body. A first groove includes a branch part between a middle area and one end area. A second groove branches off from the branch part and is parallel to the first groove. When in a first position, a movable guide portion guides the first shaft portion from the branch part to the second groove. When the first shaft portion moves to the second groove through the branch part, the movable guide portion swings from the first position to a second position. When the second shaft portion reaches the branch part, the movable guide portion in the second position guides the second shaft portion along the first groove.

Abstract: A stapler extension mechanism is disclosed that is attached to the operating handle of a squeeze handle stapler that permits the stapler to be operated against a ceiling without the operator having to climb onto a ladder, against a floor without the operator having to bend over, or into a wall. The stapler extension mechanism has a head that is fastened to the operating handle of the squeeze handle stapler and an adjustable elongated handle is attached to the head. The operator positions the stapler using the elongated handle, and then applies a pushing force via the elongated handle to depress the squeeze handle and operate the stapler.

  • Patent number: 7354037
Abstract: A stapler is incorporated in a finishing device associated with a document creating apparatus. The stapler has a control circuit with a memory and is driven by a variably powered motor. An end user inputs the job parameter information at the control panel of the document creating apparatus for each different set of documents to be reproduced and stapled. In response thereto, the control panel sends a particular variable start pulse signal to the stapler control circuit. The control circuit senses the duration of the variable start pulse. Based upon the duration of the variable start pulse signal, the control circuit selects the motion control profile to be provided to the stapler motor from the various profiles stored in the memory of the control circuit.
