  • Patent number: 10953530
Abstract: A repeating nail-feeding structure for pneumatic nailing machine, installed in a pneumatic nailing machine, includes an air stream guiding tube, automatic return cylinder, and shifting element. The tube enables working air stream from the machine to enter the cylinder, thereby a piston stein of the cylinder is driven to a retracted position. The piston stein is returned to an extended position by the pressing of a return spring within the cylinder. The shifting element is fixed to the piston stein and provided with a shifting lever. The shifting lever is moved along with the piston stein to advance the strip nail of the machine. Thereby, when the nail is ejected, the strip nail is advanced simultaneously by the discharged working air stream. The requirement of extensive use is fulfilled due to no limitation to length of the strip nail and successive nail-feeding capability.

The buffer is movable with the tool and C-frame (6) between an operative position where fasteners can be inserted into a workpiece and a re-filling position where it is docked at a docking station (13) to reload. Fasteners are delivered to the docking station from a source (14) and held there ready for when the tool docks. Abstract: A surgical stapling instrument is disclosed. The instrument has a handle, a trigger, means for carrying a staple, the carrying means comprising a track for containing at least one staple, and means for closing the staple. The improvement to the track comprises a leaf spring. The track and the leaf spring are a unitary element. The leaf spring is at the end of the track adjacent to the closing means. In one embodiment, the closing means is an anvil surface terminating in a flange.

  • Patent number: 4589583
Abstract: A conventional fastener attacher is fixedly mounted on a support. A stack of hooks is situated in a retainer which is movably mounted with respect to the support. A dispensing slide is movably mounted on the retainer, below the stack. As the retainer is moved towards the attacher, the slide automatically moves relative to the retainer to align a hook with the attacher. Slide movement is achieved through the use of a cam surface on the support and a cam follower extending from the slide. A single air cylinder moves both the retainer and the slide. The retainer can hold the stack in one of two orientations. In order to avoid jamming, the hook is held on the slide as it retracts or is realigned with the stack, if the hook has not been removed from the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4570840
Abstract: A fore chamber assembly of a nailing gun serially feeds nails by gravity through a channel into a firing chamber. A nail head fence prevents the heads of trailing nails from underriding the heads of preceding nails and getting more than one nail in the firing chamber. The fence is vertically adjustable to work on different thickness nail heads. A safety link prevents firing of the gun unless the gun abuts the structure to be nailed and in that attitude applies a friction lock to nails in the fore chamber to prevent kickback of these nails upon gun firing. This lock is through a sliding cam and lever that engages a resilient button that in turn engages some of the nails. A feed magazine has spaced rails defining a slot that accepts loose nails in any orientation so long as their heads are on the rails with the nail shanks in the slot. The magazine rails are secured together by a cover that overlies the slot and nail heads and depending flanges that attach to the rails.

  • Patent number: 4403726
Abstract: Under direction of a machine controller, an endless chain conveyor is incrementally passed by a plurality of loader heads. The loader heads receive a series of components taped on a reel supplied substrate, sever individual taped components from the supply, and load the individual taped components onto clip carriers of the endless conveyor, on command, in a preferred sequence. The clip carrier mounted components are then indexed past a cutter assembly for trimming the lengths of the leads and removing the substrate, and a positioning disc assembly for positioning the components in the clip carriers before being passed to a rotary transfer assembly. The rotary transfer assembly removes individual components from the conveyor and rotates to an unload position above a linear loader, which laterally transfers the components from the rotary transfer to an insert head assembly.

  • Patent number: 4305541
Abstract: An electronically operated portable nail driving gun is disclosed. Nails are driven into a workpiece by a driver blade which is actuated by a solenoid powered by a source of alternating current. Each actuation of the device produces two successive driving strokes delivered to a nail. The tool is also provideed with means for preventing more than one nail being driven during each actuation of the tool. A preferred embodiment in which the tool is double insulated is also disclosed as are control circuits which permit operation at either 110 V. or 220 V.
