Publication number: 20130186928Abstract: A gun device for driving a fixing element into a work surface includes a driving mechanism for the fixing element. The gun device further includes supply means for a filler material, the supply means having an outlet arranged to deposit filler material on the work surface at a point corresponding substantially to an entry point of the fixing element into the work surface. Actuating means is provided for actuating the supply means in response to advancement of the gun device towards the work surface to deposit filler material on the work surface. Movable means is provided, movable in response to retreat of the gun device from the work surface, to pass across the work surface over the end of the fixing element so as to cause deposited filler material to smooth and fill any depression formed in the work surface as a result of operation of the gun device.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 23, 2007Publication date: July 25, 2013Applicant: NAIL SEAL LIMITEDInventor: Bryan Nigel Victor Parsons

Patent number: 5282564Abstract: A punch plasterer is disclosed which in one action, drives and countersinks a fastener into wood or other materials and which fills the resulting cavity above the fastener thereafter. The present invention includes a punch tool for driving the fastener and first and second resilient springs for reciprocating the punch and for dispensing a predetermined amount of plaster. A plurality of plaster sizes may be used according to the size of the fasteners utilized.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 1992Date of Patent: February 1, 1994Inventor: Amaro Vigil Rio

Patent number: 5143572Abstract: Dowel shooting apparatus comprising a dowel feed component for feeding dowels one at a time from a bulk supply of dowels to a flexible tube that is connected to a dowel shooting gun. The dowel feed component advances dowels in the flexible tube and a receiving unit is provided in the shooting gun for accepting dowels one at a time and positioning the dowels in an ejection chamber in the shooting gun. A striker is provided for ejecting the dowel from the chamber upon activation of the trigger of the shooting gun. A glue system is also provided for injecting or spraying a proper amount of liquid glue into the cavity in which the dowel is to be driven just prior to the ejection of the dowel from the chamber of the dowel gun. The dowel gun further has a nose cone having a positioning lug extending therefrom with the positioning lug being used to align the nose cone with the cavity.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 1990Date of Patent: September 1, 1992Inventor: J. Patent number: 5092508Abstract: An improved compressed air nail machine is disclosed incorporating a plastering device for automatically filling the hole above each nail head after it is placed into the wood. The plastering device adapts to a conventional nail gun and comprises a piston and cylinder pair which utilizes the exhaust air originating from the nail gun. The reciprocating motion of the piston and cylinder causes a quantity of wax feed into an orifice located in the side wall of the cylinder to be expelled through an orifice in the bottom of cylinder and into the nail hole. The recuperation of the piston in the cylinder is due to the fact that in the lateral surface of said cylinder exists an orifice through which air is expelled once this orifice is surpassed by the piston, so that by means of an internal spring, the initial position of the piston is achieved.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 1990Date of Patent: March 3, 1992Inventor: Amaro Vigil Rio

Patent number: 4463887Abstract: Three elongated strips (called a web and two legs) are assembled into an elongated channel by a machine which includes a supply table. A stack of webs on the supply table feed downward by gravity. Legs are fed inwardly under the webs by pusher arms. The web and two legs are fed from the back to the front of the machine by a three-fingered lug on a continuous chain operated under the web magazine. Glue is applied to the top of the legs, then the web and two legs are pressed together over a spacer block, where they are stapled together to hold them in place until the glue sets.Type: GrantFiled: August 6, 1982Date of Patent: August 7, 1984Inventor: David W. Patent number: 4305540Abstract: An anvil having a working end away from a mounting shank, has compressed air flowing through the anvil to feed outward to the working end. An insert fastened to a panel is secured to the panel by forming on one end of the insert and by bonding with an adhesive on the other end. The working end of the anvil presses against the insert during forming and the flowing compressed air blows excess adhesive from the contacted surface of the insert.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 1980Date of Patent: December 15, 1981Assignee: The Boeing CompanyInventor: Elvin G. Patent number: 4146339Abstract: Staple depressions formed in a panel by the operation of a pneumatic staple driver are automatically filled with putty from a disposable cartridge. Delivery of the putty from the cartridge is automatically sequenced by the operation of the staple driver trigger. Actuation and release of the staple driver trigger causes a measured quantity of putty to be forced into a putty delivery port. The putty is then pressed into the staple depression.Type: GrantFiled: April 4, 1977Date of Patent: March 27, 1979Assignee: Fleming Caster Industries, Inc.Inventors: Michael R. Fleming, Ora R. Fleming
