  • Patent number: 8763874
Abstract: A portable linear fastener driving tool is provided that drive staples, nails, or other linearly driven fasteners. The tool uses a gas spring principle, in which a cylinder filled with compressed gas is used to quickly force a piston through a driving stroke movement, while a driver also drives a fastener into a workpiece. The piston/driver is then moved back to its starting position by use of a rotary-to-linear lifter, and the piston again compresses the gas above the piston, thereby preparing the tool for another driving stroke. An improved lifter design has modified lifting pins that reduce the side-forces on the driver. A pivotable latch acts as a safety device, by preventing the driver from making a full driving stroke at an improper time. An improved latch design has a more durable catching surface.

The striking rod continually strikes a component to gradually insert the component into a workpiece. The clamping mechanism includes at least one clamping element, a biasing device, a bush and a sleeve, and the clamping elements are movable between a closed position and an opened position. The bush is arranged around the striking rod so as to prevent the nail head from becoming trapped in a gap which is formed after the clamping elements are entirely opened. The biasing device is arranged for biasing the bush toward the direction of striking the component. This clamping mechanism can reliably clamp nails or other components to facilitate user operation of the device.

Abstract: A stapling tool for hardwood flooring staples and hardwood tongue and groove flooring planks is disclosed. The tool has a body that includes a body base surface, a stop surface, a body top surface and a staple slot. The tool has a rod assembly that includes a hammering head and a staple driving head. A hardwood flooring staple, inserted into the staple slot, followed by the staple driving head, is guided by the staple slot. In response to impact force received by the hammering head from a head of a hammer, the staple driving head drives the hardwood flooring staple into an external angle formed by the tongue and the outside edge of the plank. The staple may be inserted from beyond a plane defined by the body top surface. The staple slot may be at an angle greater than 45 degrees, less than or equal to 85 degrees.

Abstract: A nailer device includes a housing having a nozzle portion formed in an upper end thereof. A motor and a rotary-linear motion transmission mechanism are arranged in the housing and the rotary-linear transmission mechanism functions to couple an output shaft of the motor to a striking rod disposed in the nozzle portion to thereby move the striking rod in a reciprocating manner. A bias device exerts a force on the striking rod towards the outside of the housing along a longitudinal direction of the striking rod.

  • Patent number: 8387718
Abstract: A portable linear fastener driving tool is provided that drive staples, nails, or other linearly driven fasteners. The tool uses a gas spring principle, in which a cylinder filled with compressed gas is used to quickly force a piston through a driving stroke movement, while a driver also drives a fastener into a workpiece. The piston/driver is then moved back to its starting position by use of a rotary-to-linear lifter, and the piston again compresses the gas above the piston, thereby preparing the tool for another driving stroke. The driver has protrusions along its edges that contact the lifter, which lifts the driver during a return stroke. A pivotable latch is controlled to move into either an interfering position or a non-interfering position with respect to the driver protrusions, and acts as a safety device, by preventing the driver from making a full driving stroke at an improper time.

  • Patent number: 8381958
Abstract: A self-contained button attachment kit includes a pair of buttons, fastener clips and a tool for dispensing a fastener from a fastener clip to reattach a button to an article of clothing. The tool includes a single, hollow needle, a holder adapted to retain the needle and buttons, a handle telescopingly mounted on the holder, a spring-biased ejection mechanism connected to the handle, a front cap removably coupled to the handle over the needle and a rear cap removably coupled to the handle for storing fastener clips. In operation, the front cap serves as an anvil that supports the article and button to be attached. With a fastener clip loaded into the holder, the needle is then inserted through the pair of items. Displacement of the handle relative to the holder causes an ejection rod to dispense the cross-bar of a fastener through the needle, thereby completing the attachment process.

  • Patent number: 8327515
Abstract: A moving-positioning means of belt-fastening apparatus including a head and an anvil plate on which a row of fastener holes disposed, a row of positioning grooves are disposed in one side of the anvil plate; said positioning grooves are parallel to said fastener holes and the spaces of the positioning grooves are identical to those of said fastener holes; and a positioning strip disposed on the head is compatible with said positioning grooves. Since the positioning grooves and the fastener holes are separately disposed on the anvil plate, the positioning strip may be inserted into the positioning grooves to be located when the head moves. Therefore the fastener holes are no longer used for the location, and the movement of the head is not restricted to the fastener holes, which means the head may move in the whole area of the frame no matter whether the fasteners are inserted into the fastener holes or not.
