Forming Joint Of Rotary Shaft Patents (Class 228/124.7)
  • Patent number: 11078832
Abstract: The present invention relates to an actuation device for a compressor inlet adjustment mechanism. The actuation device comprises a housing part and a lever assembly. The lever assembly comprises a bearing section, an input section and an output section. The output section is configured to be coupled to an adjustment ring of the adjustment mechanism on a first side of the housing part. The input section can be coupled to an actuator rod on a second side of the housing part. The lever assembly is rotatably mounted in the housing part via the bearing section on the compressor inlet side here.

  • Patent number: 8721462
Abstract: A bimetallic shaft for use in gearbox applications wherein the member of shaft that protrudes from the gearbox is designed and constructed from a corrosion-resistant metallic compound to prevent corrosion and wear to exposed shaft material. A gearbox comprising a bimetallic shaft having a corrosion-resistant material on the portion of the bimetallic shaft that protrudes from a gearbox housing, wherein a gearbox shaft seal radially surrounds the bimetallic shaft. A method of providing a bimetallic gearbox shaft comprising: a first shaft member comprising a non-corrosion-resistant material and having a first shaft axis, a second shaft member comprising a corrosion-resistant material and having a second shaft axis, and a joint that permanently affixes the first shaft member to the second shaft member such that the first shaft axis is aligned with the second shaft axis.

  • Patent number: 7743962
Abstract: A closed container with a tight and mechanically strong seal having two fastened-together metal elements including a body and a cover. The body is essentially a cylindrical or prismatic shape having a base with one or more axial walls and an open top axial end. The cover has a more or less complex shape having one or more walls to be positioned at the top axial end of the body facing the axial wall(s) of the body. The fastening of the metal elements is via a butt weld, advantageously with no filler metal. The internal structure at the weld line includes a docking guide having a groove provided with at least one degassing chimney, and a chamfered end above or below the weld line, on the wall. The body and/or the cover include(s) at least one blanked off degassing vent.
