A plurality of end flaps are each foldably connected to a respective one of the panels. The end flaps are overlapped with one another to enclose an end of the interior space. One of the end flaps is a main bird-feeder flap. A side bird-feeder flap foldably connected to the main bird-feeder flap. The main bird-feeder flap and the side bird-feeder flap are configured to deploy from a closed position cooperating with the plurality of end flaps to enclose the end of the interior space, to an open position with the main bird-feeder flap hinged outward from the interior space to form an opening in the end of the interior space, and with the side bird-feeder flap forming a side of the opening.

More specifically, this disclosure relates to tobacco hoppers that can be made from precut assembly kits, paper kits, cardboard kits, or other elements or material. The tobacco hopper may be position on or to the side of commercially available tobacco rolling machine. In some embodiments the tobacco hopper may be easily disposed after multiple uses.

The cover panel may be pivoted between a closed configuration in which the apertures are covered and an open configuration in which the apertures are uncovered. Accordingly, a user may view the contents of the compartment when the cover panel is in the open configuration. The compartment may be employed to store cartridges for an aerosol delivery device. A related method for forming the blank into the package is also provided.

The container is formed from a blank of a material, such as corrugated material, plastic, paperboard, etc. and includes side panels extending between a top portion and a bottom portion. A tear line extends around the side panels for disengaging the top portion from the container thereby exposing all of the items extending along the side panels. An improved configuration of the perforations or slits along the tear line prevents the corners defined between the side panels from being damaged and deformed and provides for smooth tearing of the tear line from the container. A second tear section is defined in the a portion of the container by a perforation line with the tear section being separable from the top portion thereby partially exposing the items contained in the container.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus include presenting an initial set of names to a user. The user selects a set of names from those presented. An Interactive Evolutionary Algorithm (IEA) extracts features of each selected name from a database of names and features to form a feature set. The IEA forms a set of match features that are chosen from the feature set according to a priority function and/or weighting of the features, either of which may vary in succeeding iterations. The IEA searches the database to obtain a candidate set of names, where each name has features matching the match features. One or more names is chosen from the candidate set and added into a presentation set of names. The IEA may repeat the formation of the match features, candidate set, and selection of one or more names from the candidate set until the new presentation set is complete.

Abstract: Some embodiments disclosed herein provide a cord and retainer system including a cord retainer that retains a cord within a desired configuration. The cord retainer may be a paper element extending around a coiled cord. The cord retainer may promote the structural integrity of the coiled arrangement of the cord, and may have an aesthetically pleasing appearance (e.g., due to having edges that do not expose the internal structure of the material forming the cord retainer. In some embodiments, a second cord (optionally having its own cord retainer) is disposed within coils of the first coiled cord. In some embodiments, one or both of the first and second cord are disposed within one or more cavities of a packaging substrate, to fix their positions in a manner easily understood by a user, to enhance the user's experience upon unpacking the cords.

Abstract: A shipping container convertible to a display configuration has a removable cover base removable along perforated lines of weakness to form a display opening. Packages of product in the carton are supported in a horizontal orientation during shipping and in an upright orientation when the removable cover base is removed for display of the products at a point of sale. Roll-over flaps on one wall at the bottom of the display opening capture tuck flaps on opposite side walls, and full overlapping top flaps folded inwardly from opposite side walls close the display opening during shipment. An outer top flap has an end extending over the roll-over flaps, and the end is free of attachment to the roll-over flaps. The top flaps are removed with the removable cover base. In one embodiment a flange extends inwardly over an edge of the display opening to keep packages from falling out.

The subassembly is configured so that positioning the end cap onto the container to close the bottom opening positions the bottom membrane near the container. The bottom membrane may be sealed to the container. Once the bottom membrane is sealed to the container, the end cap may be removed from the container independently from the bottom membrane. The end cap provides protection to the bottom membrane during shipping and handling and then is used by the consumer to reclose the top opening once the top membrane is removed.

By advantageous adhesive application together with specialized opening structures such as tear strips, lines of weakness and/or hand holes, various different conversion configurations are provided.
