The Bottom Wall Is Spaced Upwardly From The Bottom Edges Of The Side Walls Patents (Class 229/122.31)
  • Patent number: 7578426
Abstract: A folded box has side walls and a base unit and/or a lid unit. At least one of the side walls has a convex curvature when the folded box is folded up. At least one supporting unit is connected to the inner wall of the convexly curved side wall and has a first adhesive tab and a second adhesive tab, which are connected to the inner wall and which are arranged spaced apart from each other in the direction of the curvature. Between the first and second adhesive tab there is a supporting tab, which is connected to the first and the second adhesive tab via a first and a second supporting tab fold, respectively. The length of the supporting tab corresponds to the distance between the first and the second adhesive tab. When the box is folded up, the supporting tab can be folded into the interior of the folded box or, folded up automatically into the interior of the folded box.

  • Patent number: 6227442
Abstract: A container for bulk materials, especially fluid materials, has integral reinforcing flanges on at least one of its top and bottom ends to resist bulging of the container side walls due to the pressure of the container contents. The flanges are tubular in transverse cross-section and are formed of a plurality of panels, with at least some of the panels having interfitting projections and recesses on adjacent ends thereof to interlock with one another and hold the flanges in erected condition. Corner posts may be inserted into the corners of the container, extending from the top to the bottom thereof, to reinforce the container for stacking of multiple containers on top of one another. The reinforcing flanges at the bottom end of the container have an upwardly and outwardly sloping support surface, and a tray insert having a marginal edge surface complementary to the support surface is supported on the support surface to form a bottom wall in the container.

  • Patent number: 6193148
Abstract: This invention pertains to a folding type box-shaped container comprising a container body having a hollow member whose top portion and bottom portion are open, a bottom member removably attached to the bottom portion of the hollow member, and a lid member being fitted onto the top portion of the hollow member. The hollow member has a cross-sectional form of a polygon having N sides, where N is an integer of 4 or more, when the hollow member is cut through a plane perpendicular to an axial line thereof. The hollow member has side surface portions in the number of N, and has lingual portions each of which extends from a lower end portion of the side surface portion. Each lingual portion is folded back inwardly and has two sides and an end.
