Abstract: The present invention provides a thermally insulated shipping container 1 comprising a thermally insulating layer 5 defining a first void, a main layer 9, 10, 11 containing phase change material (main PCM layer) within the first void and defining a second void within the first void, a barrier layer 12 containing phase change material (barrier PCM layer) within the second void and distinct from the main PCM layer, the barrier PCM layer 12 defining a third void within the second void, the container being arranged to receive a product for transportation inside of the third void, wherein the main PCM layer 9, 10, 11 has an average thickness greater than the average thickness of the barrier PCM layer 12, the barrier PCM layer 12 comprises of an envelope in which the phase change material of the barrier PCM layer 12 is contained and the barrier PCM layer 12 is configured to maintain the phase change material with a relatively even distribution within the envelope.

Embodiments of the container comprise a pair of opposing side walls, each of which may include at least one layer of corrugated board having horizontal fluting and at least one layer of corrugated board having vertical fluting. Embodiments of the container also comprise a pair of opposing end walls, each of which may include at least one layer of corrugated board having horizontal fluting and at least one layer of corrugated board having vertical fluting. Embodiments of the container may be prepared from a single blank of corrugated board and may have a bottom surface that is integral with each of the side walls and each of the end walls so as to be considered leak proof. Embodiments of the container may also be configured to be collapsible to a substantially flat arrangement.

A method of forming a box is also discussed.

The packaging includes a base, a tray disposed within the base, and a lid comprising an outer portion and a first inner collar. The tray is configured to support an electronic device to be raised relative to a bottom of the base with an available area for the electronic device disposed above a top of the base. The first inner collar is configured to constrain the position of the electronic device within the available area such that when the lid is removed from the base the electronic device is framed by the tray.

The container preferably includes both densified and undensified paper-based material.

At least one of the layers (10) is folded onto the blade (12), so that it is located between the layers (10, 14). A component (16) is located opposite the blade (12), which component is located outside the box blank (2). Waves (17, 21) which are affected by the layer (10) are propagated between the blade (12) and the component (16). In order to achieve a high contrast, the blade has at least one physical property which differs from the corresponding physical property of the box blank.

Abstract: A stackable container for displaying a product and a method of use, the container having: a primary blank configured to form an exterior of the container and first and second secondary blanks configured to form a first and second interior side wall of the container respectively. In a first configuration, the first and second secondary blanks are pivotably affixed to the primary blank in a substantially coplanar orientation. Abstract: A container preassembly which has an inner sleeve in a flat unopened position disposed within an outer sleeve in a flat unopened position, where in the inner sleeve is substantially shorter than the outer sleeve. The two sleeves are adapted for form the top and bottom ends of the final opened container. The inner sleeve is cut so that gaps at the top of the inner sleeve form notches at the corners of the final opened container. The shorter outer sleeve rests on these notches preventing the pieces from shifting during the manufacturing process and to allow the preassembly to be folded into the final container using current machine technology.

Folds extend across the bottom flanges to enable them to deflect and slide relative to one another during set up of the container. Vertical scores in the liner are pre-broken prior to laminating it to the outer component.

The U-shaped members are configured to fit into one another to form a rectangular cross-section container. Each of the U-shaped members has a base wall and opposing side walls, the intersection of the base and side walls being rigid. The base wall has a thickness. A narrow slit is formed in the base wall, extending longitudinally along the base wall and formed from an inner surface of the wall into the thickness of the base wall. The base wall is foldable along the slit so as to form a generally W-configuration cross-section. The thus W-configuration, U-shaped members are nestable with each other. When the U-shaped member is unfolded to the U-shaped cross-section, the opposing surfaces formed by the slit abut one another to maintain the crate in the U-shaped cross-section.

Abstract: A high density nesting packaging element is a preformed, rigid U-shaped member. The U-shaped member has a base wall and upstanding opposing side walls, in which the intersection of the base and side walls is rigid. The base wall has a thickness and a narrow slit is formed in the base wall, extending longitudinally along the base wall. The slit is formed from an inner surface of the wall into the thickness of the base wall. The base wall is foldable along the slit so as to form a generally W-shaped configuration cross-section. When folded into the W-shaped configuration, the members are nestable with each other. When the member is unfolded to the U-shaped cross-section, the opposing surfaces formed by the slit abut one another to maintain the member in the U-shaped configuration.

Abstract: The present invention provides a bulk bin having a greater column strength by being resistant to wall bulging. The bulk bin is formed mainly of multiple wall corrugated board with the corrugations in a first wall oriented vertically and the corrugations in a second wall oriented horizontally. The orthogonal orientation of the corrugations results in a greater wall stiffness and less wall bulging, maintaining the wall in linear vertical orientation and retaining maximum column strength.

The pair of side boards are respectively fixed to the opposite two sides of the bottom board. The fixing boards are respectively fixed to the sides of the first end board and the second end board apart from the bottom board. The base board, the side boards, and the fixing boards are foldable to locate at a same plane. While assembling the packing box, the side boards are fixed to the base board by the fixing boards. The foldable packing box of the present invention can locate in a plane to save the occupied space thereof during storage and transportation, so as to facilitate to reduce the storage and transportation cost.
