Abstract: A corner construction for a box, the corner construction including a first side wall adjacent to a second side wall, the first side wall including a cut out portion, and the second side wall including an extension piece for fitting in the cut out portion of the first side wall.
Abstract: A lid for a tray, the lid being comprised of a light weight foldable material such as cardboard, is produced from a one-piece blank. The blank has a main body panel and eight side wall panels hingedly extending therefrom. Four of the side wall panels have protrusions for engaging slots in adjacent side wall panels when the lid is erected.
Abstract: A paperboard multiple compartment tray-type container erectable from a blank, having a product dividing keel which provides structure as well as flexibility to the container. The container may have tapered or vertical sides. The container is formed from a die-cut and scored blank of paperboard or other sheet material, and includes locking devices which allow for mechanical forming of a multiple compartment tray without the need for adhesives.
Abstract: A receptacle includes pairs of opposed side panels which are connected by connector flaps. The connector flaps have two relatively movable flap portions and the flap portions cooperate with tabs formed in the side panels to lock the receptacle into assembled condition and prevent up and down movement of the connector flaps relative to the rest of the receptacle structure.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of erecting a carton blank, a tool (15) for carrying out the method and a carton blank (1) used in the method.
Abstract: A paperboard tray and unitary blank for forming it. Two of the tray blanks may be joined in tandem to form, after erection, a clamshell type carton. The tray is provided with cooperating latching tongues and latching slits to maintain it erected. The specific form of the latching tongues and slits enables the tray sides to tilt outwardly after initial tongue and slit engagement and thus permit stacking. The use of the tongue and slit of this invention also permits tray formation without the need of adhesives, thus permitting safe use of the tray or clamshell carton in serving food, as at the retail level.
