  • Patent number: 7607566
Abstract: A container and its associated container blank for shipping and displaying products. The container blank includes a plurality of side panels, bottom panels, and top panels that are erectable into a fully enclosed shipping container. Formed in some of the side panels and some of the top panels are removable punch-out window panels. When removed, the punch-out window panels leave a top panel that defines a periphery around the “window” area. Various stacking tabs and slots are configured in the bottom panels. The stacking tabs and stacking slots are positioned such that when engaged and the containers are in a vertically stacked arrangement, the stacking tabs bias against a portion of the periphery of the top panel. When not engaged, the container has a flat bottom.

  • Patent number: 7066379
Abstract: Shipping containers that are convertible to display containers are disclosed. The containers comprise wrap around outer shells of the general type known as “Bliss” wraps, in combination with interior vertical support structures. The invention presents improved two- and three-piece container constructions, having improved side-to-end panel connections for improved tray strength upon conversion to a display configuration, as well as a variety of interior divider/support options. By advantageous adhesive application together with specialized opening structures such as tear strips, lines of weakness and/or hand holes, various different conversion configurations are provided.

  • Patent number: 6991107
Abstract: The carton of this invention is capable of carrying the plurality of containers stacked upon their ends in two tiers with a unique dispenser that permits the dispensing of containers on their sides. The dispenser is formed in a top side wall and extends into the end wall with most of the end wall being torn open but leaving a portion near the bottom side wall to prevent the bottom layer of containers from rolling out. Angled projections in the dispensing end of the carton near the top panel and bottom panel prevent the top layer of containers from rolling out. A divider is provided to facilitate loading the two tiers of containers and an end of the divider is folded down to facilitate its correct placement on the bottom tier of cans. A slit is provided between the two end portions of the divider so cans can be removed from the dispenser without being impeded by the divider being in the way.

  • Patent number: 6974072
Abstract: A carton for carrying a plurality of cans in at least three rows having a dispenser flap that is easily removed from the end of the carton to expose a dispenser which has a bottom of a sufficient height from the bottom panel to prevent containers in the bottom row from rolling out, but less than the diameter of a container in the bottom row. The top of the dispenser is at a height from the bottom panel that is equal to diameter of a can contained in the carton plus the distance that is substantially less than the diameter of a can, such height being sufficient to prevent any container in the middle row from automatically rolling out of the dispenser when opened, but allowing a person to grasp and pull out the container in the middle row that is adjacent to the dispenser.

  • Patent number: 6968992
Abstract: A fully enclosed carton for carrying heavy loads with a reinforcement insert for the handle apertures located in the top end flaps of the carton. The paperboard reinforcing insert may be extended as a bridge across the top panel of the carton to prevent tearing of the handle apertures in the top end flaps and also tearing in the top panel of the carton when carrying a heavy load. The carton may have one or more dispensers in the top panel which may extend into an adjoining side panel. Multiple tear lines may be formed for the dispenser flap in the insert that extends across the top panel to permit easy access to the containers, such as bottles, in the carton. The paperboard reinforcing insert may have a larger aperture than the handle aperture in each top end flap to adjust for any imprecision in the alignment of the paperboard insert in forming the carton sleeve from the paperboard blank.
