  • Patent number: 12195245
Abstract: A carton blank includes a first main panel, a second main panel, a third main panel, and a fourth main panel. The blank further includes a pair of parallel lines of separation that extend through the first main panel, the second main panel, and the fourth main panel. The pair of parallel lines of separation are equidistant from one another throughout the first main panel, the second main panel, and the fourth main panel. Further, the pair of parallel lines of separation define a first tear feature that extends through the first main panel and the second main panel, and a second tear feature that extends through the fourth main panel. The blank also includes a single line of separation that extends through the third main panel, connecting the first and second tear features.

The erected carton has top panels forming a top with a central longitudinal perforation line and oblique cut-creases and perforation lines extending from ends of the central perforation line to corners of the top. Pulling up and back on flaps at end portions of the top severs the oblique cut-creases and perforation lines and severs the top along the central perforation line thereby opening the top and forming a containment skin that extends above the level of the items in the carton. Abstract: A packaging box (10) includes a pair of lids (2, 3), and the pair of lids (2, 3) have tongues (2b, 3b) extending from their heads and lid gluing portions (2c, 3c) arranged in specific areas on the outer surfaces of these tongues (2b, 3b). A body (1) of the packaging box (10) has a pair of body gluing portions (1f, 1g) individually glued to the lid gluing portions (2c, 3c) and at least one transverse split-open portion (5) for guiding a fracture in a side face of the packaging box (10). Both open-side ends (1e) have side-end split-open portions (6, 7) arranged so as to surround the body gluing portions (1f, 1g). Thus, even if the tongues provided at the heads of the lids are glued to side plates, the packaging box can be easily and accurately split and spread.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a paperboard container having generally finger access or handhold openings forming carry handles in the end walls. The handhold openings are defined by two adjacent tapered punch-out panels aligned end-to-end and hinged at their outer ends to a respective end wall. When two adjacent tapered punch-out panels punched out they fold oppositely to one another and inwardly into the container in laterally spaced relation to one another on opposite sides of the respective openings. A tear-out panel in one end wall adjoins the associated hand hold openings and when removed forms a dispensing or pourable opening immediately below the associated hand hold openings.

  • Patent number: 7427010
Abstract: This invention relates to a wrap-around carrier which is held together by a single locking system, which is a secondary locking system in which the secondary male locks are formed as an extension of an outer secondary locking flap with an inner bottom flap having a secondary female opening for each secondary male lock. Assistance in holding the secondary male locks in the vertical locked position between two containers in the carrier is provided by a female flap formed in the female opening in the inner bottom flap. Further assistance is provided in holding the secondary male locks in the vertical lock position between two containers by the containers having flexible side walls and carrying a liquid whose weight pushes out against the walls of the container and creates tension in the wrap-around carrier thereby holding the secondary male locks in the vertical locked position.
