Abstract: An improved multi-functional flexible printed circuit (FPC) assembly 142 is provided for use in an electronic communications device 100. The FPC assembly 142 can comprise a curved FPC 144 a flexible substrate 156 and components thereon and can be positioned against a portion of an interior surface 137 of the housing 106 so as to share common wall surfaces for improved volumetric space utilization. The FPC assembly 142 can have a curved contour which matches a curvature of the curved housing 106. The components can include flexible metal conductors 158, multiple antennas 160 and 162, speaker felt 150 and/or a seal or gasket 146.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a container of consumer goods comprising an outer housing having a box and a lid hinged to the box. An inner package of consumer goods is disposed within the outer housing and has an access opening through which consumer goods can be removed. An adhesive label is provided with a resealable adhesive on a first portion of an inner surface of the adhesive label and an opposed outer surface of the adhesive label is permanently attached to an inner surface of a front wall of the lid of the outer housing. The outer surface of the adhesive label is permanently attached to the inner surface of the front wall of the lid of the outer housing such that the adhesive label is inwardly concave throughout movement of the lid between a closed position and the open position.

Abstract: Resealable boxes are presented including: a bottom panel foldably attached with a pair of opposing end panels and a pair of opposing side panels, where the pair of opposing end panels each include a pair of opposing corner tucks foldably attached therewith, where the pair of opposing side panels each include a side tuck foldably attached along a side panel edge opposite the bottom panel; a top panel foldably attached with one of the opposing end panels; and a sealing flap foldably attached with the top panel and configured for sealing with the other of the opposing end panels, where the sealing flap includes at least two sealing strips and a zipper strip disposed between and generally parallel with the sealing strips.

The cover and the bottom can be foldably connected to the outside connector. The right side, the front side, the left side and the rear side can be foldably connected to each other. Also, a portion of the front connector can be foldably connected to a bottom edge of the left side, a portion of the front connector can be foldably connected to a bottom edge of the front side, a portion of the rear connector can be foldably connected to a bottom edge of the rear side and a portion of the rear connector can be foldably connected to a bottom edge of the right side.

Abstract: A package for containing and dispensing contents includes a magnetic closure. The package defines a package interior for accommodating the contents. A pair of package portions defines an opening for accessing the package interior. The magnetic closure includes magnetic material which is placed on at least one of the packaging portions for permitting reopenable closure of the packaging portions.

Abstract: A carton for transporting and dispensing liquid-based materials including a sealed base, tapered side panels, and a gable top. The top portion of the carton includes a fold-over flap including a seal to close the carton. The seal is tamper-proof such that, upon reopening the carton, the seal is damaged and reveals evidence of tamper. The carton may be carried using a handle attachable to the top of the carton.

Abstract: The invention relates to a packaging (1) for bar-like or bar-shaped foodstuffs, in particular for bars of chocolate, with a rectangular base (2), two side elements (3) which are arranged on opposite sides of the rectangular base (2), are separated from the base (2) via folding lines (5) and can be folded inwards along the folding lines (5), and a first and a second cover element (4.1, 4.2) which are arranged on the two other opposite sides of the rectangular base (2), separated from the latter via folding lines (5), and which partially overlap with the two side elements in the folded state. The first cover element (4.1) has a perforation (6) by means of which a flap (7) can be separated from a fixing region (9), and the second cover element (4.2) can be inserted into an opening (10) for re-closing of the packaging.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to rigid or semi-rigid cartons with zipper-type reclosable elements, particularly self-mating zippers. The cartons can be formed from blanks which have a self-mating zipper on the inside of the carton. Additionally, the zipper can be attached to a flexible film which is, in turn, attached to the package.

Abstract: A packaging system is provided which includes a carton having sides defining an enclosure for receiving contents. At least one of the sides is hingedly connected to the carton for opening and closing of the carton. At least one side has a flap for extending over an adjacent side when the carton is in the closed configuration. Releasable fastening means are provided which have a first part of a releasable fastener secured to the flap to register with and engage a second part of the releasable fastener which is secured to the adjacent side. The first and second parts of the releasable fastener require a force for separation which is below a force required to tear the flap or the adjacent side.

Abstract: Products and methods for flexible flow-wrap film packaging that allow easy opening and resealing, while maintaining package integrity. The film can have a flexible sheet material having a sealant layer on a first surface; the flexible sheet longitudinally sealed generally along adjacent sides to form a sleeve, the first surface forming an interior of the sleeve and adjacent surfaces of the longitudinal seal; a first sleeve end having a peelable seal; a second sleeve end having a second seal; and the first sleeve end further having a pair of opposing peel tabs in an unsealed area distal to the peelable seal. The film can be polypropylene, polyethylene, and the like. The sealant layer can be ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), ionomer plastic, matallicine, orgaonclay, and the like. Reclosure means can include the addition of nylon to the film, wire ties, peelable seals, or an internal band of a pressure sensitive adhesive.

Abstract: A foldable box that includes a bottom panel, four sides panels and connectors with each connectors having a first portion and a second portion. The first portion of the connector is foldably connected to a side panel and the second connector is adhered to another side panel, these panels being adjacent to each other. The above connector placement allows a user to transform a box from an unfolded first position to a folded second position in one easy step. The box is then secured in this position by means of a holding member, such as, an adhesive, Velcro or a folding member.

Abstract: Foldable container including a base having a first base portion and an opposing second base portion. The base has a base surface free of hinge lines between the first base portion and the second base portion. A sidewall surrounds at least a portion of the base and extends generally upward from the base with a non-uniform height to define a compartment. A rim having a first rim portion and an opposing second rim portion is disposed proximate the top edge of the sidewall. At least one transition region is formed in the sidewall to allow the first base portion to pivot between an open position and a closed position. When in the open position, the container defines a plate. When in the closed position, the first base portion defines at least a portion of a cover relative to the second base portion. A packaged product is also provided, including a foldable container and a cover member removably attached to the rim of the foldable container in the open position to contain a product therein.

The front panel, first and second back panels, first and second side panels, top portion, and bottom portion define an interior of the container. The container further comprises a divider extending from the first back panel into the interior of the container and attached to the front panel. The container further comprises a detachable portion comprising a removable section of the top portion, a removable section of the front panel, and a removable section of the divider. The detachable portion is separable from the container along a plurality of lines of weakness.

Abstract: A substantially paper container has a top end closure adapted to be removed for opening the container and repositioned for closing the container. The container includes a tubular body of substantially paper material, a cup-shaped end closure of substantially paper material and a cup-shaped membrane having an outer upwardly-extending rim portion of substantially the same height as an upwardly-extending rim portion of the cup-shaped end closure. The membrane and end closure are positioned in an open upper end portion of the body in superimposed relationship with the membrane below the end closure. An upper area of the upper end portion of the body extends above the superimposed rim portions of the membrane and the end closure and is folded inwardly over and around the upper ends of the superimposed rim portions.

Abstract: A container of flexible material is described, for granular or powdery products, particularly coffee beans, having, at the corner of one of its walls (6), an opening (7) closed with a peel-off seal (8) provided with a pull tab (12), for easy emptying of its contents into a bar coffee grinder by placing the container (1) in a special support (20), mounted on the grinder and provided with a seat to receive the container, with a mobile partition such as to allow said pull tab (12) to emerge through a slit below, for easy pulling thereof, with opening of the peel-off seal (8).

Abstract: A container for solids or liquids is formed to have two walls which converge and meet at the apex thereof. A container opening is formed at the apex. Each of the walls converging at the apex is extended beyond the apex to form a flap or spout hingedly connected to the container at its apex. The contents may be sealed in the container by making the flap or spout to be an enclosed triangular shape and/or by sealing the flap or spout against one of the converging walls. Thus, access to the contents of the container requires either that the triangular spout or flap be cut, and/or that it be unsealed from the wall. The container may be resealed by applying a plastic clip to the folded flap or spout and/or by providing a reusable fastening to selectively retain the flap or spout against one of the converging walls. The container has a triangular configuration at its apex. This configuration may be continued throughout the whole of the container or it may be provided at its upper portion only.

Abstract: A carton formed from a unitary blank of paperboard, the carton exhibiting particular utility as a wrapper or container for food products, such as sandwiches. A sandwich may be formed on the wrapper before folding and forming the wrapper into a carton. Or the sandwich may be made and then placed on the wrapper blank, with two opposite ends of the blank then pulled upwardly around the sandwich. Each end is coated with a layer of cohesive material on one surface, these two surfaces being adhered together to form an upper rib of two thicknesses of paperboard, the end walls of the container then being easily manually formed. The cohesive material has the property of sticking only to itself and the coated ends are readily separated and readily reclosed.

Abstract: A novel box has an envelope made of cardboard coated by a coating which is essentially impermeable to fluids. The box is particularly suitable as a container of scented and wet tissue paper.

Abstract: The invention is a method of packaging items of manufacture as they leave the assembly line. A plurality of pre-manufactured containers is grouped together on a standard shipping and storage rack. The closure of each container is opened, presenting, in effect, a plurality of cavities. As each container is filled, it is closed using a reusable closure means, such as Velcro. When all containers on an individual rack have been filled, the individual rack is removed for subsequent storage and shipment.

Abstract: A package that is unreusable and reclosable, which package may be repeatedly used by the consumer for storing the contents therein even after multiple openings of the package, with such package protecting the contents thereof in a closed-package-like manner. The package is provided with at least one strip of resealable glue, which strip is located interiorly of the peripheral heat-seals, so that, after the package is cut open by cutting away the heat-sealed edge in close juxtaposition to the glue-strip, the two facing plastic-film layes of the package may be pulled apart, thereby separating the glue-strip, and, thereby, allowing access to the interior of the pocket. A package forming apparatus for making the package of the invention is also disclosed.
