    Abstract: A paperboard packaging container includes a sealing arrangement comprising a lid and a sealing rim. The packaging container further includes a circumferential lid sealing member applied in the lid. The sealing rim forms a closed loop extending around the container opening. The sealing rim further comprises a first sealing surface arranged at an upper end edge of the sealing rim and is arranged to seal against a second sealing surface constituted by the circumferential lid sealing member when the lid is in a closed position. The sealing arrangement furthermore includes a frame structure forming a closed loop extending around a periphery of the container opening and is connected to the sealing rim. The lid is connected to the frame structure by a hinge member and a locking arrangement.

    Abstract: A container assembly includes a container body having a side wall encircling an axis, and a metal end for attachment to an upper edge of the side wall via heat-sealing. The outer peripheral region is shaped prior to application to the container body such that an annular channel is defined between an inner chuck wall and an outer chuck wall of the metal end. The metal end is pushed straight onto the side wall such that the upper edge of the side wall is received into the channel. The surfaces of the side wall and the opposing surfaces of the chuck walls have heat-sealable material thereon. The metal end is heated to melt and fuse the heat-sealable layers, thereby sealing the metal end onto the side wall. The metal end is shaped such that the free edge of the outer chuck wall is not exposed.

Lines of weakness (26) are provided in the sealing layer (25) so as to form a removal opening (27) once the film (20) has been drawn off. One or more layers (40), which are connected detachably to the film (20), are provided on that side of the film (20) which is remote from the sealing layer (25). The layers (40) detach mare easily from the lam (20) than the sealing layer (25) and also detach more easily from the orifice of the container (5) than the sealing layer (25).
