And Modification Of The Pattern Or Its Effectiveness Patents (Class 234/3)
  • Patent number: 9399595
Abstract: A manufacturing method for a glass film includes a cleaving step of dividing a glass film having a band shape into a product glass portion and an unnecessary glass portion, and a collecting step of sequentially shattering the unnecessary glass portion, and collecting the shattered unnecessary glass portion. The cleaving step is followed by vibration regulating processing of regulating vibrations of the unnecessary glass portion in a thickness direction thereof, the vibration regulating processing being executed in at least one location in the longitudinal direction of the unnecessary glass portion, and the collecting step being executed on a downstream side of the at least one location of the vibration regulating processing.

  • Patent number: 9216924
Abstract: Methods of processing a glass ribbon are provided. The method includes the step of traversing the glass ribbon through a travel path at a predetermined velocity and severing the glass ribbon to create an upstream web and a downstream web. The method further includes the step of increasing a relative velocity of a downstream edge portion with respect to an upstream edge portion to create a gap between an upstream severed edge and a downstream severed edge. In other example methods, a segment of the glass ribbon is removed to create a gap between an upstream severed edge and a downstream severed edge. In still further example methods, an upstream severed edge is directed along a second travel path to create a gap between the upstream severed edge and a downstream severed edge.

  • Publication number: 20090095803
Abstract: The method includes continuously detecting glass faults in the glass sheet. Based on the results of the detecting of the glass faults an optimized cutting pattern for cutting crosscut pieces from a predetermined sheet section and for cutting glass panes from the crosscut pieces is determined. In order to reduce waste, the cutting lines for the glass panes are placed sufficiently close to fault-containing glass sheet regions, so that the glass sheet regions to be discarded are minimized, while producing a largest possible number of usable glass panes. The crosscut pieces are then cut out according to the optimized cutting pattern and then the glass panes are cut from the crosscut pieces. An appropriate apparatus for performing the method is described.

  • Patent number: 6712665
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an image forming apparatus having an envelope made of members inclusive of a first substrate and a second substrate disposed at a space being set therebetween, image forming means and spacers disposed in the envelope, the spacers maintaining the space, the method comprising the steps of forming a spacer having a desired shape by cutting a spacer base member, and abutting the spacer upon the first and second substrates at non-cut surfaces of the spacer.

  • Publication number: 20030116617
Abstract: A system and method for detecting a registration mark representing a binary code sequence of N bits. A sensor is provided to output values indicating whether positive bits, negative bits, or no bits of the binary code sequence are detected. A sequence of N sensor values are provided to a code matching filter for comparison with the binary code sequence. The code matching filter increases a value of a detection signal for each sensor value which matches its corresponding bit, decreases the detection signal value for each sensor value which is complementary to its corresponding bit, and neither increases nor decreases the detection signal value in response to a sensor value indicating detection of no bit of the binary code sequence. When the binary code sequence is a Barker code, the code matching filter yields the ideal Barker auto-correlation function response whenever the binary code sequence is detected.

  • Patent number: 4143807
Abstract: The music roll perforating system permits a paper music roll to be perforated from a special previously prepared magnetic tape containing a digital recording of a music rendition. The process and apparatus disclosed uses a small computer to drive a music roll perforator through a driver box. The driver box accepts a serial data stream from the computer and converts it into parallel channels with high current/high voltage outputs capable of driving the solenoids used in a conventional music roll perforating machine.A magnetic tape recorder is attached to the computer for the dual purpose of either loading a computer program into the computer following turn-on or for reading the specially prepared digital recording into a computer memory. A Teletype machine is also attached to the computer to permit input to the computer from an operator.
