Single Axis Patents (Class 235/115)
  • Patent number: 8466408
Abstract: Provided is a surface film for a polarizing plate in which transparent patterns having a non-visible light reflective regularity are printed on a surface of a substrate and in which a reflection preventive layer or an antiglare layer is formed thereon or on a back side thereof, wherein an ink constituting the above transparent patterns contains a material reflecting a non-visible light. Capable of being provided is a surface film which can suitably be used for providing additional informations to an image display medium in such a manner that data are input by handwriting directly on a display device and in which the function described above is built-in from the beginning without making it necessary for the user to stick later a sheet having the above function.

  • Patent number: 8266212
Abstract: A service-oriented bus for distributed gaming systems allowing gaming machines, servers, workstations, mobile PCs, handheld devices and automatic telling machines to talk together over a network. The game service bus provides a publish-and-subscribe message bus over a private network within a gaming property and/or over the public Internet across several properties. The service bus framework allows participating communicating end points to publish services or subscribe to services in a simple and standardized high level fashion, thereby enabling the devices to understand one-another, thus “talk” together. The “talking together” paradigm is rather appropriate, as it emphasizes the value that the service bus brings to a complex distributed casino gaming system that may include thousands of devices manufactured by dozens of vendors. Gaming machines may talk together in a peer-fashion over the service bus, which is well suited for multiplayer gaming.

  • Patent number: 8172128
Abstract: Improved counter device (1) having a hollow casing (2) on the inside of which a mechanical type of numerator assembly (3) is housed with an activation device for the numerator assembly (3), and wherein said activation device has a rod (4) that is axially moveable in a straight line having a protrusion that is perpendicular to the rod (4) coupled in a elongated hole (7) located in a moving element (6) jointed in a fixed point that can move at an angle; said moveable element (6) being coupled at one end to a toothed wheel (8) connected to the hub of the numerator assembly (3) itself, in a such way that when the rod (4) moves, when receives a impulsion, to record a numeric count brought about by the slide of the protrusion along the mentioned elongated hole (7) in turn bringing about the angular sliding of the moveable element (6) that activates the toothed wheel of the assembly (3).

  • Patent number: 5969315
Abstract: A display device is described which indicates the number of heatings performed, especially for the purpose of autoclave sterilization. The display device comprises a temperature-sensitive mechanical element which essentially reversibly transforms from a first spatial state to a second spatial state when the temperature-sensitive mechanical element is heated in excess of a predetermined temperature. The temperature-sensitive mechanical element is coupled to the actuating element of a counter mechanism and upon the transformation to the second spatial state effects movement of the actuating element into an actuation position.

  • Patent number: 5399843
Abstract: A mechanical counter having number wheels rotatably mounted on a shaft with interleaved pinion carriers has a drive gear at one end fixed to the shaft and an end wheel rotatably mounted at the other end and retained by a washer press fit on the shaft. The end wheel has a cavity in its outboard side for receiving the washer, the cavity depth being greater than the washer thickness. The washer is installed by a press tool having a flat surface which engages both the washer and the outboard side of the end wheel to simultaneously advance the washer and seat the parts on the shaft. Then the washer and the bottom of the cavity are spaced by an amount providing the end play.
