Runners, Cursors Patents (Class 235/70B)
  • Patent number: 4749846
Abstract: A card (10) with scales (20, 24, 28) printed thereon for the comparison of dissimilar items. Means (36) are provided for linearly intersecting representative points on two scales (20, 24) and for obtaining desired information from the third scale (28).

  • Patent number: 4652728
Abstract: A wind and course calculator for navigation is provided comprising two superimposed disks made from a transparent material, a mobile disk 1 movable in rotation and in translation carrying a network of concentric circles corresponding to the speeds and of converging straight lines corresponding to the angular values of headings and a supporting disk 2 having a mark 5 indicating the heading and, at its periphery, graduations corresponding to the angular values of sailing trims of the boat and a scale of speeds 7 carried on the radius directed towards the indication of the heading, on the reverse side of which supporting disk is fixed a pointer 10, 11 having a slider 12 carrying a reference dot 13 serving as display and reading point. The upper face of the supporting disk has two parallel guides 3 between which the mobile disk 1 slides.

  • Patent number: 4476380
Abstract: A calculator of flat design with a surface chart showing marginal scales and diagonal inner ones. The top of the calculator serves as a cover attached marginally to a case underneath. Also, the top has a diagonal slot, and is surmounted by a flat pointer which has a similar slot, and can be slid and rotated to relate to numerical values in the scales. An axial post is installed to pass through and be movable to any desired point in the slots, with means disengaging the post by finger pressure for movement away from said point.

  • Patent number: 4071189
Abstract: A slide rule cursor which is adapted for use with conventional slide rules to provide direct resolution of the resultant value of parallel and/or series impedances. The cursor is not only movable axially along the body of the slide rule in a conventional manner but is also movable perpendicularly to the axial direction of the body of the slide rule. The cursor has printed on it a series of curves from which unique values of a special coefficient referred to as .mu..sub..theta. may be readily obtained for each network of parallel and/or series impedances. This value of .mu..sub..theta. relates the individual impedances in the network through a series of relationships discovered by the inventor to the resultant value of impedance and its angle.

  • Patent number: 4030486
Abstract: This disclosure relates to a method and specific apparatus for extracting significant data values, analogous temporally and electrically to the physiologic myocardial action potential which accompanies each cardiac contraction, from conventionally recorded electrocardiograms. The apparatus for measuring deflection and temporal values from said conventional electrocardiograms is comprises of three transparent elements. One of the elements constructed to be positioned over the electrocardiogram to be measured and has integral therewith a grid, while the two remaining elements are slideably positioned one over the other on the said positioned element such that their movement is at right angles to each other.
