Pressure-operated Patents (Class 236/26R)
  • Patent number: 6158231
Abstract: An energy control and transmission system which monitors temperature in piping systems, electronic systems and the like. Energy in the form of a heated or chilled fluid is delivered to the devices and/or regions of interest to maintain temperature conditions thereat within a safe range of values. Electrical energy employed in the system is confined to the location from which the fluid is pumped, eliminating the presence of electricity in hazardous or dangerous areas. Non-electrical temperature indicators are utilized to permit branching flow of the temperature controlling fluid from a closed loop responsive to detection of a temperature condition outside of the desired range of values. The opening of such a branching path triggers operation of a pressure sensitive switch which activates a pump for delivery of the temperature controlling fluid.

  • Patent number: 4787554
Abstract: A boiler control system utilizing a microcomputer, a memory, and a firing rate control scheme provides a boiler with a more responsive control arrangement. This improved response is accomplished by the firing rate control converting the desired pressure setpoint to a computed temperature, and then establishing a computed pressure band for control of the boiler.

  • Patent number: 4513910
Abstract: A boiler control utilizing a pressure sensor is provided that operates the system in the low fire mode if the load is light, and can be satisfied in that mode. If the low fire operation is inadequate to hold the load and the pressure drops, the boiler is then operated in a modulating mode which includes a high fire limit. This is accomplished by sensing the variation of a pressure responsive means and by providing a burner control system that monitors that pressure responsive means.
