With Pressure Control Patents (Class 236/61)
  • Patent number: 10458412
Abstract: A hermetic compressor is provided that may include a casing having an inner space, an orbiting scroll provided in the inner space, a non-orbiting scroll engaged with the orbiting scroll to form compression chambers, a high/low pressure dividing plate that divides the inner space into high and low pressure portions, and an overheat preventing unit coupled to a surface of the dividing plate at the high pressure portion, the overheat preventing unit having a communication hole formed through the dividing plate to communicate the high and low pressure portions, and having a valve spaced from the dividing plate by a predetermined interval to selectively open/close the communication hole according to a temperature variation of the high pressure portion, whereby transfer of a refrigerant temperature of the low pressure portion to the overheat preventing unit through the dividing plate may be prevented, and the compressor may be quickly stopped upon being overheated, thereby being protected from damage.

  • Patent number: 9249991
Abstract: Insulating element for expansion compensation device and method for manufacture thereof, of the type used in solar energy collector absorber tubes, being formed by a single piece in the form of a ring and with a bellows-like end portion, which is filled with rock wool or other equivalent insulating material, so as to create a hot air chamber which minimizes heat losses.

  • Patent number: 7575012
Abstract: A gas supply apparatus including: a tank unit that includes a tank storing a gas and a discharge mechanism discharging the stored gas to the outside of the tank at a reduced pressure of the stored gas; a temperature detector that detects a temperature of the tank; and a supply regulator that regulates supply of the gas from the tank according to the detected tank temperature.

  • Patent number: 6276312
Abstract: A cooling system closure includes a closure apparatus adapted to mount on a cooling system and formed to include a flow passage arranged to receive fluid discharged from the cooling system and a relief valve positioned to move between an opened position permitting fluid to flow through the flow passage and a closed position blocking the flow of fluid through the flow passage. The relief valve includes a temperature-activated element moving to a first position when heated to a first predetermined temperature to urge the relief valve to the closed position and a second position when cooled below a second predetermined temperature to permit the relief valve to move to the opened position.

  • Patent number: 4489883
Abstract: A temperature regulated dual pressure radiator cap for an engine coolant system is disclosed having a temperature actuated valve that operates to normally open a large pressure responsive valve area to the coolant pressure below a predetermined coolant temperature and close communication therewith thereabove while then exposing the coolant pressure to a small pressure responsive valve area whereby the coolant pressure required for blow off is higher at coolant temperatures above such temperature.

  • Patent number: 4147302
Abstract: A heat control system designed to control individual radiators in a heating system where there is only one boiler supplying steam, or one heated fluid source such as a utility steam supply, and where there is no separate condensate return line; each radiator or riser or both may be individually controlled by devices at and external of the radiator without the need for reconstructing the heating system itself or inserting any mechanical device within the system which will block return of condensates; there is an on-off control valve between the radiator and its vent valve and controllable preferably by a room thermostat; additional fuel saving controls may include a device that is responsive to the radiator becoming heated to a desired level or internal pressure in the radiator to provide an additional control for the control valve.
