Expanding Fluid Patents (Class 236/64)
  • Patent number: 7640757
Abstract: An air conditioner having an enhanced user perception and a controlling method thereof are provided. A predetermined character and/or its applied character image are/is displayed on a display window of the air conditioner. The character and/or the character image are/is changed depending on the operational states of the air conditioner, so that the user perceives the operational state of the air conditioner more conveniently. The air conditioner has advantages in that the user can perceive the operational state of the air conditioner more conveniently, the user can be stimulated to purchase the product, and a use term of the air conditioner can be extended.

  • Patent number: 4669655
Abstract: The invention relates to a steam heating system and particularly to a vent control unit for a radiator in a one pipe type steam heating system. The vent control unit includes a thermostatically controlled valve for modulatingly venting air from the radiator to control the entrance of steam into the radiator in accordance with the heating requirements of the room. A check valve which bypasses the thermostatically controlled valve is provided to insure the admittance of air to the radiator during certain light heating conditions when the thermostatically controlled valve may be closed during a period when air must be admitted to the radiator to facilitate proper operating conditions.

  • Patent number: 4300719
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an improved temperature responsive control arrangement. It includes a valve member, a chamber, and a bellows disposed in said chamber for controlling the position of the valve member in response to the temperature of fluid flowing through the chamber. The arrangement is particularly suited for use in steam traps. There are surfaces in the chamber for distributing fluid flowing through the chamber around the bellows to promote rapid expansion and contraction of said bellows with changes in temperature of the fluid flow through said chamber. The chamber has an outlet centrally located at one end thereof, and the distributing surfaces include a plurality of fluid inlets at the end of the chamber opposite from the outlet, the fluid inlets being distributed about the periphery of the chamber.

  • Patent number: 3963177
Abstract: A thermostatic control valve for a one-pipe steam system formed by the combination of a conventional vent valve and a temperature controlled valve for closing the flow passage into the vent valve at a pre-set ambient temperature. The temperature controlled valve is preferably in the form of a self-contained temperature responsive valve having a valve chamber with an inlet connection to a radiator of a one-pipe steam system and an outlet leading into the vent valve. A valve seat is provided between the inlet and the outlet and a valve member cooperates with the seat and is movably actuated through an arrangement controlled by a heat expansible fluid which may, if desired, be positioned in a remote bulb.

  • Patent number: 3937275
Abstract: A thermal distribution system for distributing heated or cooled fluid from respective fluid generators to thermal exchangers. The system comprises a regulating-reversing device for selectively controlling and distributing the fluid from and towards the hot fluid generator and the cold fluid generator, and regulating the flow thereof from and towards the thermal exchangers. A degasifying device is connected to the regulating-reversing device for distributing said fluid to the exchangers and for collecting the same from said exchangers. A pumping means is mounted between said degasifying device and said regulating-reversing device for pumping the fluid from the latter to the former.
