Nut And Bolt Lock Patents (Class 238/262)
  • Patent number: 10413704
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a medical device (10) comprising a friction member (30, 48) configured to assist in controlling and/or limiting unintentional and/or undesirable movement between two releasably secured components (18, 28) of the medical device. The releasably secured components may be part of a resistance assembly for holding a medical device actuator (20) in a particular position and/or to improve the ease of which the activator moves into one position versus another position.

  • Patent number: 9615870
Abstract: A method for applying compression to a joint includes providing an intramedullary fixation assembly having a proximal screw member positioned at a proximal end of the intramedullary fixation assembly and a lag screw member positioned at a distal end of the intramedullary fixation assembly. Medullary canals are drilled in a first and second bone and the medullary canals are reamed. The proximal screw member is inserted into the first bone and a drill is used create a dorsal hole in the first bone. The lag screw member is slideably coupled to the dorsal hole and to the proximal screw member and into the second medullary canal. A torque is applied to the lag screw member to apply compression to the joint.

  • Patent number: 9341377
Abstract: A liner and attachment structure has an exhaust liner for use in a gas turbine engine. At least one hanger has feet secured to the liner. The hanger has an aperture extending at a central web. A flanged washer is received within the opening in the hanger. The flanged washer allows adjustment relative to the hanger. The flanged washer has a spherical recess. A collet has a plurality of part-spherical fingers separated by slots, and are received in the spherical recess of the flanged washer. A member extends into the collet to hold the part-spherical fingers radially outwardly. The member is also utilized to secure static structure, and to secure the liner to the static structure.

  • Patent number: 5413442
Abstract: An improved railroad frog bolt-nut assembly is disclosed. The bolt has a square head and a shank. The shank has an unthreaded portion adjacent the head and a threaded portion at its terminal end. The threaded portion is rolled to a diameter equal to the shank's unthreaded portion to produce high fastener strength. A unitary lock nut is formed with an annular boss extending from it's outside end in which indentations intersecting with some of the nut threads are pressed to provide an interference, locking fit with the bolt threads.

  • Patent number: 4360154
Abstract: Track rail joint assemblies with nut and bolt fasteners are disclosed in which a nut restraining plate is interposed on the bolt between the nut and the joint bar. The plate is provided with one or more bendable tabs adjacent the bolt of hole which are bent away from the joint bar against the nut after the nut has been tightened down to effectively lock the nut into position and prevent loosening rotation tended to be caused by vibrational forces of railroad equipment passing over the joint. The plate is formed with the tabs slightly bent to permit bending tools to be slipped over the tabs when the plate is in position under the tightened down nut.
