  • Patent number: 8413910
Abstract: The invention provides a base plate, and a fastener equipped with such a base plate, whose weight is minimized and whose stiffness is optimised on the one hand and which is suitable for being supported on an elastic intermediate layer on the other hand. To this end, a base plate according to the invention for fastening a rail to a fixed bottom support has, the base plate being made of a plastics material and a stiffening structure which is formed by ribs and by depressions present between the ribs being formed or molded in the underside of the base plate, which underside is associated with the fixed bottom support, depressions of the stiffening structure being closed off, in accordance with the invention, by a filling material.

  • Patent number: 6619558
Abstract: A railway rail support has a fixing plate with a flat body with an upper surface for receiving a rail, left and right fixing portions and front and rear extended support portions respectively extending from opposite sides of the body, and a through hole at a center portion of the body. A buffering plate for elastically supporting a lower portion of the fixing plate has a support portion for projecting through the through hole of the fixing plate to an upper surface protruded beyond the upper surface of the fixing plate, whereby to decrease impact of the rail.

  • Patent number: 4773591
Abstract: An elastic rail pad to be positioned between a tie and a rail includes a first portion to be positioned beneath a foot of the rail at the field side thereof, a second portion to be positioned beneath the rail foot at the gauge side thereof, and a connecting portion connecting the first and second portions and having a dimension in a direction parallel to the longitudinal dimension of the rail less than dimensions of the first and second portions in such direction. The first, second and connecting portions of the pad are in the form of a single, integral member formed of a relatively stiff elastomeric material having the properties of high resistance to wear and tangential shear forces, high elastic memory and elastic stability over a wide range of varying temperatures.

  • Patent number: 4572432
Abstract: A substantially load free anchor lock fastening assembly for fastening a floating rail to a railroad tie which comprises an anchor lock plate which is adapted to be attached to an existing railroad tie plate or rail support, the tie plate having a rail support central channel area and shoulder areas which extend in opposite directions from the rail support central channel area, at least one of the shoulder areas being provided with an anchor lock plate which extends beyond the side of the tie, and above the base of the rail, and a rail anchor of unitary construction containing a first portion adapted to wedge against the base of the rail and a second portion adapted to take leverage against the side of the tie, the rail anchor being overlapped by the anchor locks outside the base edge of the rail with a small gap being maintained between the anchor and the anchor lock whereby rail rotation and rail uplift are controlled without adding strain to that portion of the anchor which is in contact with the tie and l

  • Patent number: 4155507
Abstract: A tie plate for mounting railroad track rails on track ties in which the tie plate is formed from a corrosion resistant resilient polymer of dry self-lubricating characteristics, in which the tie plate has its upper side shaped to define along either side of the plate bearing surface to be engaged by the rail base a pair of flexible ridges each defining a flexible lip, with such lips opposing each other and terminating in a marginal edge projecting over the tie plate bearing surface. The tie plate ridges each define under their respective lips an upstanding side wall, which side walls oppose each other and are spaced apart and of a height to closely receive the rail base side edges therebetween when the rail is applied to the tie plate.
