Multiple Face Patents (Class 238/340)
  • Patent number: 10519006
Abstract: The invention concerns an elevator guide rail bracket for securing a guide rail section to a base via a counterpart, the guide rail bracket comprising a face, a pair of fixed claws arranged into the face, and a fastening part with fastening elements. The claws form a claw coupling with the guide rail section. The claw coupling has a fitting position and a retaining position. The guide rail bracket is attached to the guide rail section by fitting the guide rail section between the claws and turning the guide rail bracket from the fitting position to the retaining position.

  • Patent number: 6138921
Abstract: A rail-to-wood sleeper fastening mechanism in railroads, consisted of a clamp having an upper and middle branch fixed to the lower face of a sleeper, and with a pair of lateral and hinged branches, constituting the clamp, going through the sleeper via chimneys, and presenting upper and bent ends, sliding on the upper face of a foot of a rail, when respective wedges are inserted into said chimneys, that can be optionally configured by establishing a hinged union which is removable between the side branches of the clamp and its lower and middle branch, so that said side branches are easily installed and removed.

  • Patent number: 4382547
Abstract: A railroad plate and connectable shim are disclosed for fastening railroad tracks over ground having a flat or raised topography in an economically feasible manner. The instant system provides a base plate with a sloping grooved channel for reception of the lower flange of a rail to be held in place in combination with a trapezoidal shim to insure the proper cant of the rail over the various topographical areas of the country. The instant base plate, trapezoidal shim, rail and railroad tie are all fastened via a set of screws which are angled or toed-in towards the center of gravity of the rail. Stepped washers, each possessing a thickened portion, are provided between the bottom of the screw head and the upper shoulder surface of the lower flanges, both inside and outside the central vertical portion of the rail. The washers are omitted in securing back assemblies to the ties where joints are formed between the ends of adjacent rails.

  • Patent number: 4254909
Abstract: This invention relates to a cleat (sometimes referred to as a "rail fastening clip") utilized for the purpose of positioning and retaining a rail to a sleeper (sometimes referred to as a "tie"). In this invention a rail cleat comprises a spring plate having a configuration such that when retained at an intermediate locality, a rail-bearing end bears against the upper surface of the foot of the rail while a tail bears against a sleeper or a bearing pad thereon, an upstanding loop standing upwardly from a sleeper, and a locking pin passing through the loop and bearing against the intermediate locality of the cleat so as to urge the cleat downwardly against the foot of the rail.

  • Patent number: 3987962
Abstract: The invention relates to a rail fastening arrangement for securing a flat bottom rail on a foundation having preformed holes therein. There is provided a base plate on which the flat bottom of the rail rests and anchors for securing the base plate to the preformed holes in the foundation. A pair of rail clips is provided one on each side of the rail with bolts passing through a bolt aperture in each clip and engaging in a preformed bolt hole in the base plate. Each clip has symmetrically spaced about its bolt aperture at least one pair of recesses and the base plate has symmetrically spaced about each of its bolt holes an upstanding pin is received and located in a recess of one of the clips. Each clip is engageable with the base plate with one of its recesses receiving an upstanding pin of the base plate in at least two alternative dispositions.

  • Patent number: 3934800
Abstract: A track rail anchorage comprises a base member having projection flanges projecting from the two ends thereof, either of which may be placed so as to locate over the flange of a rail to be located in position. The base is provided with asymmetrical mounting means so that when one projection flange in location with the rail flange is exchanged for the other, the position of the new projection flange relative to the rail will be displaced towards or away from the rail, thus catering for possible displacements of parts of the rail due to distortion defects. Additional adjustment of the anchorage position may be achieved by employing a variable, eccentric, mounting in the base to receive a mounting bolt fixed in the ground.
