Twin Patents (Class 238/38)
  • Patent number: 7794123
Abstract: A post structure for installation along a street or road with a base supporting the post structure in a yieldable manner. A coupling joining the base and post structure includes a resilient member urging the post structure into a normal, pre-determined position on the base. An upper end of the base serves as a fulcrum for momentary post structure movement. A modified form of the yieldable support includes a housing with spring and fastener assembly with the housing having inclined surfaces which cooperate with inclined surfaces on the base upper end, insuring return of the tipped post structure back to the pre-determined relationship with the base after momentary displacement.

  • Patent number: 7222780
Abstract: An inline printer assembly includes a chassis. A media supply bay is mounted on the chassis for storing sheets of print media. A feed mechanism is mounted on the chassis for feeding the sheets of print media from the paper supply bay along a feed path. A printer is mounted on the chassis downstream of the media supply bay for printing on media received from the supply bay. A binder binds printed media received from the printer. The media supply bay, the printer and the binder are configured so that the feed path is substantially straight.

  • Patent number: 4245561
Abstract: A controllable distributing conveying system for transporting people or goods is provided with stations which are arranged on a passive rail network and which include container loading-on positions, container off-loading positions, and container depots. Self-propelled controllable conveying units are movable between the stations and are fitted with pairs of running wheels for normal travel and for travel when being switched in and out and also have container-carrying surfaces separate from the drive section which are coupled by a universal joint member. Containers are loadable onto and off-loaded from the conveying units by means of loading and off-loading arrangements which have active locking members and unlocking members. These containers are held secure in all directions during travel, and are conductable to their destination by the shortest path by means of passive switching-in and switching-out arrangements, and these latter arrangements comprise rails, which the conveying units hold onto.

  • Patent number: 4236671
Abstract: A tie cap rail holder for securing a railroad rail to its supporting tie comprises a cap dimensioned to seat gravitationally over the top of the tie in a restricted, longitudinally slidable fit. The cap has on its upper surface a rail seat dimensioned to receive the rail base. On one side of the rail seat an upwardly and inwardly extending detent is dimensioned and positioned for engaging and retaining the adjacent side margin of the rail base. A plurality of the holders are adapted for opposite placement on adjacent ties, with their respective detents engaging opposite side margins of the rail base, thereby securing the rail to the ties.
