Abstract: A face mask comprises a container coupled to a first surface of a face mask, a fragrance material disposed in the container, and an exhalation valve coupled to a second surface of the a face mask. The fragrance material comprises a fluid configured to evaporate from the fragrance material, and the container is configured to releasably engage the exhalation valve to form a closed chamber. The closed chamber is configured to enclose the fragrance material when the container is releasably engaged with the exhalation valve.

Abstract: A method is provided of producing and assembling a multi-part surface-mountable physical-activity lamina for use in aiding or supplementing a physical-activity in a physical-activity environment. There is a step a] of providing a first graphic design model of the lamina; and b] segmenting the first graphic design model into a plurality of graphic design model portions. A step c] follows of arranging the graphic design model portions into a more compact second graphic design defining a reduced surface area; and then d] the second graphic design being applied to a lamina substrate having another surface area. The lamina substrate is then separated into lamina elements corresponding to the graphic design model portions, followed by a step e] of assembling the lamina elements onto a mounting surface at a physical-activity environment to form the surface-mountable physical-activity lamina.

The membrane device can also include decorative portions for aesthetic appeal.

Abstract: A scent sampler has a compressible and expandable housing in which there is a chamber containing a resilient, compressible, absorbent, elastic reservoir for absorbing a scented liquid. The housing is formed from two bin-like members made of a form sustainable material, one inverted relative to and telescopically captured within the other for relative reciprocation. Squeezing of the housing urges the housing members to telescope toward one another thereby reducing the volume and increasing the pressure in the chamber for forcing vapor in the chamber into the ambient environment through an opening in the housing.

The pet toys have a first portion and a second portion which releasably engage to retain the edible treat with the toy until the treat is consumed or otherwise removed from the toy by the pet. When desired, the toy can be disassembled by removing the first portion from the second portion, new treats can be added to the toy, and the two portions reassembled.

Abstract: Systems and methods aggregate data and use caching techniques. In one implementation, a computer-implemented method aggregates data. A server receives a request for data that includes one or more identifiers. Based on at least one of the one or more identifiers, at least one template defining a view of the data is retrieved. One or more modules are identified based on the at least one template and one or more services are invoked to obtain the one or more modules. The one or more modules are received and processing by applying one or more business logic rules. At least a portion of the one or more processed modules are stored in a data store. The view of the data is generated based on the processed one or more modules and a response is transmitted to a client that includes the view of the data.

Abstract: A fabric scent diffuser that can be easily and strongly attached to a pet collar which is then worn by a pet with the portable scent diffuser providing an effective scent or vapor to the pet, yet can be removed when desired. The fabric scent diffuser has a fabric strap, absorbent material such as cotton to which a scent oil or solution is applied, and has a fabric cover over the absorbent material, all stitched together to hold the absorbent material and fabric cover in place on the fabric strap. Hook and loop fastener material are attached near the ends of the strap so that the fabric scent diffuser can be looped around a pet collar and secured with the hook and loop material. A kit with additional components, and methods of fabrication and use, are provided.

Abstract: Scent devices and methods are provided. In one embodiment, the present invention can be a device to scent an environment comprising a scent and a structural component. The scent stick can have a length to average cross-sectional diameter ratio of at least about 4:1 according to some embodiments. The scent stick can be colored to blend into an environmental setting to make the presence of the scent stick unobtrusive. The scent stick may also be attached or hung by the addition of a hanger or hoop. The scent stick may be hung from a tree, automobile mirror or a person as an adornment. Other embodiments are also described.

Abstract: Methods and products for forming a shoe product from a shoe are generally described. In an example, the shoe may include a first band, a top surface, a bottom surface, a front region, a middle region, and a heel region. A method for forming a shoe product from a shoe may include disposing a second band of a cuff adjacent to the first band of the shoe. The method may further include placing a strap of the cuff in a recess of the bottom surface of the shoe, The cuff may wrap around two edges in the front region of the shoe. The two edges may define a portion of a periphery of the front region of the shoe.

Abstract: An insect repellent device having a top section and a bottom section can be attached via a fastening mechanism near the facial area of a user. The top section and the bottom section are rotatably joined to form a single unit and an insect repellent compound is contained internally. A plurality of slits in each of the top section and the bottom section enable air to pass through the device and intermix with the insect repellent compound.

Abstract: An aromatic cover is provided. An aromatic cover includes a flexible enclosure defining an outer surface and an inner surface. A cartridge fastener is attached to the inner surface. The cartridge fastener is configured to releasably retain an aromatic cartridge containing a quantity of aromatic material at a semi-fixed position along the inner surface. An aroma-permeable region of the flexible enclosure is proximate to the semi-fixed position, wherein the aroma-permeable region is configured to allow for a release of the aromatic material from the aromatic cartridge to the outer surface.

Abstract: Scent devices and methods are provided. In one embodiment, the present invention can be a device to scent an environment comprising a scent and a structural component. Abstract: A fire-suppression system for use in an aircraft having at least one cargo compartment is disclosed. Methods of suppressing a fire in the cargo compartment are also disclosed. The fire-suppression system, under one aspect of the present invention, can include at least one fire-suppressant vessel, at least one discharge conduit coupled to the at least one fire-suppressant vessel, and a valve arrangement coupled to the fire-suppressant vessel and the discharge conduit. The valve arrangement can have a first setting to discharge a fire suppressant at a first discharge rate after activation of the fire-suppression system, a second setting to discharge the fire-suppressant at a second discharge rate less than the first discharge rate, and a third setting to discharge the fire-suppressant at a third discharge rate greater than the second discharge rate during descent of the aircraft.

Abstract: A system for dispersing scent for hunting comprises a material formed into an article of wearing apparel. The material has an inner layer and an outer layer, the inner layer having a looped structure and the outer layer having a tight structure with perforations. The inner layer is adapted to receive perspiration from a user donning the wearing apparel and wick the perspiration through the perforations in the outer layer using body heat from the user. The material also includes an activator containing the scent, the activator contained in the outer layer, the scent being dispersed from the outer layer as a result of body heat emanating from the user for either covering the hunter's odors or attracting animals to the hunter.

The device is comprised of a flat, rectangular body having first and second opposed sidewalls; a flexible cord; and a scent source. The body contains an aperture at a first end and a slit at a second opposed end. The slit provides access to a pocket enclosed by the sidewalls of the body. During use, the cord is inserted through the aperture of the body and detachably secured around the ankle area of a user. The scent source is located in the slit and pocket of the body. As the user walks, the body makes contact with the ground and the scent source, maintained in close proximity to the ground surface, dispenses animal scent attractant to the ground from behind the ankle area of the user.

Abstract: An item of jewelry is provided to receive a fragrance composition. The jewelry piece includes a securement member, a setting, and a piece of porous material. The securement member supports the setting and enables the jewelry item to be worn by the person in the manner in which it is intended. In some embodiments, the setting supports the piece of porous material relative to the securement member such that ambient air may flow between it and the securement member, maximizing the exposed surface area of the porous material. The porous material is a ceramic that contains sintered aluminum oxide and receives a liquid fragrance producing composition such as perfume or cologne. A method for applying the fragrance to the piece of porous material is also provided and includes the step of washing the porous material with a solvent suitable to diffuse the carrier liquid of the fragrance producing composition.

The volatilizing body has a laminated honeycomb structure, holds the volatile agent, and is adapted to be contained in the container under a closed state of the lid and to expand between the container body and the lid under an open state of the lid.
