    Abstract: The invention relates to an atomizer nozzle (10) with a liquid channel (19) which communicates downstream with an annular mixing chamber (26). A liquid (F) is supplied to the liquid channel (19) via a liquid connection (12). The atomizer nozzle (10) additionally has a gas connection (13) which is connected to a gas line system (28). Pressurized gas (L) is conducted to an outer injection channel (29) and an inner injection channel (34) via the gas line system. Each of the two injection channels (29, 34) opens into the annular mixing chamber (26) at a respective injection point (30, 35). The outer injection point (30) is provided on a radially outer mixing chamber wall, and the inner injection point (35) is provided on a radially inner mixing chamber wall. The inflowing liquid can thus be finely atomized using little pressurized gas (L) in the annular mixing chamber (26) and dispensed downstream of the annular mixing chamber via at least one outlet opening (40) in the form of a spray jet (S).

Preferably, the cone-shaped swirlers can be manufactured by wire EDM processing. More preferably, multiple cone-shaped swirlers can be manufactured simultaneously by nesting swirler blanks in a stack and wire EDM processing the stack as a unit. The cone-shaped pinwheel swirler fits well into various fuel injector heads, enabling the injectors to reduce the frontal surface area and flat area for minimal potential of carbon formation.

The device sprays an electrically charged lining mixture 360° onto the inside pipe surface. The lining device can be contained in a multipart housing having flexible rod-like components that hold the device in the center of the longitudinal axis of the pipe. The lining mixture is conveyed to the device through heated non expanding hose. The non expanding properties facilitate the delivery of the lining under pressure to the device. The device also incorporates a dwell cone having a knurled edge that atomizes the lining mixture as it is centrifugally thrown onto the pipe wall. The device may further incorporate nitrogen in mixing the lining material.

During operation, the fuel injector impinges fuel on an inner surface of the insert and is pulled towards the atomizing lip from air flow through the insert. The air flow through the insert and air flow through the housing join at the atomizing lip, resulting in air flows shearing fuel droplets off of the atomizing lip. The nozzle may have swirler means such as a swirler fin and/or swirler passages on the insert to aid in swirling the air flow.

The adhesive shim plate includes a plurality of liquid slots each with a liquid outlet. Four process air outlets are associated with each of the liquid outlets. The process air slots are adapted to receive pressurized process air and the liquid slots are adapted to receive pressurized liquid adhesive. The pressurized process air discharges from each group of the four process air outlets and forms a zone of turbulence for moving the filament of liquid adhesive discharging from the associated liquid outlet in a random pattern.

The third nozzle's second atomization/eddy flow formation compressed gas collides with this exhaust flow, so the exhaust flow is made into even smaller particles, and swirls and disperses, and is applied to the coated object.
