Publication number: 20040129742Abstract: An air freshener is composed of a diffuser with a wick system that is impregnated with a liquid fragrance contained in a replaceable bottle or receptacle whose liquid perfume, which is made and included in concentrate form, is obtained from natural essences to provide a long life. The air fresher is provided with an adjustment for the volume of the air freshener by volatilisation of the fragrant product by a simple turn of the head cap, at the user's discretion. It is possible to stop the product from issuing when the vehicle is not in use, thus saving its consumption.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 11, 2003Publication date: July 8, 2004Inventor: David Fernandez Torres

Patent number: 6712286Abstract: A system for dispersing a scent and marking a trail useful in hunting and other outdoor endeavors is provided, the system providing for easily positioning a self-fastening scent dispenser and marker to a preselected structure as well as the person and apparel of a user. The apparatus includes a camouflage cover so that the apparatus can easily be concealed when in use. A reflector can also be included, however, so that the apparatus can be located in the dark using a generated light beam, while also protecting the user by identifying the user to other hunters in the area. Methods are also provided to permit a hunter or hiker to readily attach the self-fastening scent dispenser and trail marker as the user moves along a trail during a hunt, hike, or other outdoor excursion.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 2001Date of Patent: March 30, 2004Inventors: Doug Baxter, Frank Sloan

Patent number: 6550689Abstract: An animal scent dispensing apparatus and method for dispensing animal scent. The animal scent dispensing apparatus provides for laying a scent trail, while a user is walking to a selected location in order to lure an animal. The animal scent dispensing apparatus provides the capability to refresh the scent trail while walking to the selected location. The animal scent dispensing apparatus includes a staff, a housing unit, a liquid absorbing dragging material and a container of animal scent. The housing unit is attached to the staff. The housing unit provides a chamber for the insertion of the container and for securing the dragging material. The container includes a spraying mechanism to release the scent from the container and onto the dragging material, when pressure is applied downward on the housing unit by the staff. Thereby, providing an easy method of making and refreshing a scent trail.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 2000Date of Patent: April 22, 2003Inventors: David A. Hoyes, Brock A. Hoyes

Patent number: 6446880Abstract: There is described, in conjunction with a vibrating orifice plate type atomizing dispenser, a refill reservoir which has a wick mounted in a unitary wickholder to provide precise locating of the wick in relation to the vibrating orifice plate in the dispenser. There are also described a novel reservoir overcap and wickholder construction in which mating tubular surfaces on these elements telescope together to ensure a good liquid seal without interfering with the wick. There is also described a novel camming arrangement which enables the overcap to be removed easily from the reservoir.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2000Date of Patent: September 10, 2002Assignee: S.C. Patent number: 4383951Abstract: A device for vaporizing a fluid desired to be introduced into the air by forcibly moving air over the surfaces of an absorptive material which has been impregnated with the fluid desired to be distributed. The device comprises a housing adapted to be attached to a wall or other surface and utilizes a liquid material contained within a hollow container which is so positioned within the housing that the liquid flows into a cup-like member within which a layer of the absorptive material is disposed. The cup-like member includes at least one opening over which air is caused to pass and thereby evaporate the liquid from the absorptive material. A battery powered fan is so positioned as to cause the air to flow past the opening in the cup member and thereby evaporate some of the vaporizable fluid. The entire assembly is contained within a housing which has an air inlet and an air plus vapor outlet, and includes means for properly positioning the several elements in the proper relationship.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 1981Date of Patent: May 17, 1983Assignee: Woodlets, Inc.Inventor: Richard C. Patent number: 4339079Abstract: A device for producing a pleasant or fragrant scent in a room or automobile, for example. The device includes a housing that encloses a container of a fragrant liquid. At least part of the container is made of a substantially transparent material that can also be pierced by a needle or sharp pin. The container includes a reservoir part that is visible through an opening formed in the housing, so that a user may check the amount of liquid remaining in the container. The container further includes a chamber part that may be pierced so that the liquid seeps from it, and a pad or layer of material absorbs the seepage. An adjustable window formed on the housing controls the amount of the liquid that evaporates from the absorbent layer.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 1981Date of Patent: July 13, 1982Inventors: Osamu Sato, Masahiro Shibagaki

Patent number: RE38150Abstract: A child-resistant, wick-based liquid emanation system includes a container which is capable of containing liquid and has an opening. A wick is partially disposed within the container and extends through the opening of the container. A hollow overcap encases the extended portion of the wick and has a closed, separable tip and an open base attached to cover the opening of the container. The system is activated by separating the tip from the overcap. A retainer may be provided for obstructing complete removal of the wick from the container through the overcap after the tip is separated from the overcap. The retainer can include a shoulder disposed in the overcap between the tip and the base to retain the wick toward the base of the overcap. Alternatively, a protrusion from the wick can engage an inner surface of the overcap or the container. In this case, the overcap can have a frangible portion facilitating separation of the tip, and the wick can extend past the frangible portion toward the tip.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 2001Date of Patent: June 24, 2003Assignee: S.
