  • Patent number: 10687603
Abstract: A showerhead that is attached to a shower arm which extends outward from a wall in a shower to support a base and/or a mirror. The base is provided for decorative purposes or to support the mirror. The mirror provides a mirrored surface that can be utilized by a person taking a shower to more safely, efficiently and effectively shave and/or accomplish other grooming tasks. The mirror attaches to the base, directly to the showerhead or to a tubular post that interconnects the showerhead and the base or mirror. Water from the showerhead discharges through the mirror. In either configuration, the mirror is more securely positioned in the shower so it will not drop to the shower floor. Hot water flowing through the mirror reduces fogging of the mirrored surface. In one configuration, the base is made out metal to further reduce the likelihood of fogging.

  • Patent number: 8800892
Abstract: A regulating device for a water outflow, in particular of sanitary fittings, comprises a cylindrical sleeve with a central cylinder axis. The sleeve is adapted for attachment to or in the water outflow. A support plate is disposed perpendicular with respect to the axis of the sleeve. A throttling and regulating element can rotate relative to the support plate about the axis and can move in the direction of the axis. By way of the throttling and regulating element, water can flow through from one side of the support plate to the other side of the support plate. The throttling and regulating element comprises a device for fine throttling of the water. An annular distribution space for the water is delimited by the support plate, the sleeve and the throttling and regulating element. In the distribution space, water can flow in from openings in the throttling and regulating element. In the distribution space, water can flow out of the sleeve to a water outlet.

A cap fits over the outlet and has an end with a number of spray forming nozzles positioned in front of the outlet. The body has a protrusion having a button located on its free end. The protrusion is resiliently movable in a radial direction relative to the tubular body. The cap has a partial helical slot into which the button is receivable. The engagement of the button and slot converts rotational movement of the cap into longitudinal movement thereof, which adjusts the position of the nozzles relative to the outlet. The cap is releasable from the tubular body by radial depression of the button and disengagement thereof from the slot.

  • Patent number: 4722481
Abstract: Several embodiments of drip emitters are disclosed. These embodiments comprise (1) a molded plastic, body with an upwardly opening housing, and (2) a molded plastic plug including an enlarged head, a depending shank, and a helical thread defined about the perimeter of the shank. The body is executed in a relatively soft plastic, while the plug is executed in a harder plastic. The shank of the plug is press-fitted into the housing, and the threads on the shank of the plug cut into the softer plastic of the housing. By advancing or retracting the plug, the length of the helical flow path is altered and the rate of discharge of droplets from the emitter is changed to account for changes in line pressure, accumulation of debris in the emitter, and other operational parameters.
