Patent number: 7694898Abstract: The invention relates to a water-saving shower head which operates at low and high pressure. The inventive shower head comprises a knuckle consisting of an internally-threaded tubular section which is used to connect same to the tube, said tubular section being connected to a solid sphere containing an upper chamber therein. In turn, the upper chamber comprises a small funnel having three other small longitudinal, concentric and radially-equidistant conduits which are used to regulate the water flow and which flow into a conical cavity.Type: GrantFiled: January 16, 2004Date of Patent: April 13, 2010Inventors: Ruben Arturo Munoz Huerta, Juan Carlos Vizcaino Cervantes, Arturo Barrera Echauri

Patent number: 7644777Abstract: A fire-fighting monitor includes a housing, a nozzle coupler, and a pivot joint coupler comprising an internal passageway and a pivot member. The pivot member is pivotally mounted to the housing at the outlet of the housing. The nozzle coupler is mounted to the pivot joint coupler wherein the internal passageway of the pivot joint coupler is in communication with the internal passageways of the housing and the nozzle coupler, wherein the weight at the nozzle coupler generates a gravitational moment about the pivot axis. In addition, the nozzle coupler has a central axis defining a reference line, which is offset from the first pivot axis wherein a reaction force generated by fluid flowing through the nozzle coupler generates a moment about the first pivot axis in a direction opposed from said gravitational moment.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 2004Date of Patent: January 12, 2010Assignee: Elkhart Brass Manufacturing Company, Inc.Inventors: Eric Combs, James M. Patent number: 7631817Abstract: A lock assembly operable to secure a lift linkage associated with moving a boom assembly between a lowered, operative position and a raised, inoperative position is provided. The lock assembly includes a lock pin mounted at a carrying frame interconnected between a lift linkage and the boom assembly. The lock assembly also includes a lock plate mounted at the lift linkage. In the raised position of the lift linkage, the lock plate includes a slot configured to align so as receive the lock pin. Once aligned, the boom is pivoted toward the folded, stowed position. As the boom pivots, the boom pushes the lock pin through the slot. The lift linkage is then lowered to seat the lock pin in the slot and thereby secure the lift linkage and supported boom in the raised, folded position.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 2005Date of Patent: December 15, 2009Assignee: CNH Canada, Ltd.Inventors: Dennis G. Patent number: 7614816Abstract: An anti-rolling device of a ball and socket joint prevents the rolling movement of a moving body coupled to the ball effectively without hindering omni-directional tilt rotational movement of the moving body, i.e. a moving part relative to the socket, a fixing part. The anti-rolling device comprises: a bracket on the moving part that is fixed to the circumference of the moving body; a guide channel whose upper part is pivoted to the bracket on the moving part; a sliding bar coupled to the guide channel in a way being possible to be slid thereinto; and a bracket on the fixing part which is mounted on the fixing part and coupled with the lower part of the sliding bar.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 2006Date of Patent: November 10, 2009Assignee: Agency for Defense DevelopmentInventors: Hwan-Gyu Lee, Sang-Youn Lee

Patent number: 7614569Abstract: A stream nozzle resides between a water source and a sprinkler nozzle and provides a stream of water for watering a bush, shrub, or tree. The stream nozzle may either reside between a fixed height riser and a nozzle, or under the nozzle of a pop-up sprinkler. In the case of a fixed height riser, the stream nozzle may be attached to an adapter or directly to the riser. In the case of a pop-up sprinkler, the stream nozzle is preferably attached to an independently rotatable collar below the nozzle. The stream nozzle is preferably adjustable in elevation angle and in azimuth angle.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2005Date of Patent: November 10, 2009Inventor: Kenneth R. Lavacot

Patent number: 7472846Abstract: A combination swivel spray aerator includes a stem that defines an inlet port for supplying water. The stem includes a neck and a swivel connector that is provided at one end of the stem. A spray head is coupled to the swivel connector in a swiveling manner. The spray head includes a housing and a swivel seal that seals between the housing and the swivel connector. A shroud is coupled to the stem for hiding at least the neck of the stem from view in order to provide a clean appearance. The swivel spray aerator further includes a diverter that switches between spray and aeration modes regardless which direction the spray head is rotated. A gimbal mechanism in the spray head allows the spray head to twist without requiring excessive swiveling friction.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2004Date of Patent: January 6, 2009Assignee: Masco Corporation of IndianaInventors: Kurt Judson Thomas, Josh Barber
