Abstract: An irrigating nozzle has a tubular body having a bore closed at one end and open at its other end for coupling to a source of irrigating fluid. The body has at least one slit in its side wall and such side wall is formed of elastically deformable material which, in response to the presence of a predetermined pressure within the body, deforms and opens the slit to form a passage through which fluid may flow from the nozzle to the area to be irrigated. Upon reduction of the pressure to a value less than the predetermined value the side wall recovers and the passage is sealed automatically.

  • Patent number: 6360969
Abstract: A nozzle element is described, which can is inserted into a nozzle body, either fixed in position or adjustably, and together with the nozzle body forms a component of a windshield wiper system of a motor vehicle. The nozzle element consists of a hard metallic, ball-like base body and a cylindrical projection formed in one piece with the body. A hose-like resilient sleeve is pulled tightly onto the body, and closes off the outer ends of transverse channels which are in flow connection with a centered flow channel. Via the channel, washing fluid for the windshield is supplied under pressure. Thereby, the resilient sleeve bulges outwards so that the fluid can flow out of the nozzle element on the inside of the sleeve and on the outside of the cylindrical projection via an annular channel formed under pressure.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a flexible spiral tube for fire extinguishing systems. This invention provides a flexible spiral tube, which is not only highly flexible but also resistant to elongation, so that the tube is not easily ruptured by bending to allow the fire extinguishing sprinkler system to be easily installed in the interior of a ceiling, and is not excessively elongated by the high pressure of a fire extinguishing fluid to prevent the sprinkler head of the sprinkler system from being undesirably removed from the ceiling. The flexible spiral tube is preferably dimensioned to have an outer diameter ranging from 26.0 to 27.5 mm, a thickness ranging from 0.3 to 0.4 mm, a pitch ranging from 5.9 to 6.5 mm, the width of its groove ranging from 2.4 to 2.5 mm, and the height of its ridge ranging from 2.65 to 2.75 mm.

  • Patent number: 6276618
Abstract: In an electrostatic powder spray gun, a cylindrical air curtain is formed toward the front side of a gun main body by supplying compressed air to an air chamber formed between the outer peripheral surface of a cover member and an outer cylinder so as to eject the air from an air blowing opening. Owing to the air curtain, powder particles move toward an object to be coated without the risk of scattering to an ion trap electrode.

  • Patent number: 6250572
Abstract: A showerhead includes a housing and a face plate to confine a chamber therebetween. A plurality of spray nipples are mounted on the face plate. Each spray nipple includes a nozzle body and a securing sleeve member. The nozzle body is made of a deformable material, and includes a stem portion with a shank end fitted to a respective inner peripheral wall in the face plate, a tapered end extending outwardly of a front major wall of the face plate, and a shoulder portion formed at a juncture of the shank and tapered ends. An enlarged head portion is secured to the shank end opposite to the tapered end, and defines an abutment shoulder to abut against a rear major wall of the face plate. A spray passageway extends from the stem portion through the enlarged head portion. Thus, the tapered end is bendable relative to the front major wall such that particulate dirt will be bounced out of the spray passageway once the tapered end swings back to its original state.
