The control unit determines and sets a combination of the plurality of nozzles, using a signal from the differential pressure sensor, to substantially maintain the second pressure within the aerosol container at a predetermined level.

    Abstract: A wet-pipe sprinkler system, method of supplying water to the system, and method of dealing with a leakage of the system are provided, wherein the wet-pipe sprinkler system includes a sprinkler head; a plurality of interconnected pipes for supplying water to the sprinkler head; at least one water supply connected to one end of the pipes; an electric main valve for controlling inflow of water to the pipes; an electric drain valve to drain water from the pipes; a first electrical control circuit in a central control studio which outputs a drain valve opening signal to the electric drain valve and a main valve closing signal to the electric main valve when a leakage is detected, thereby blocking the water from entering the pipes and draining the water from the pipes. Accordingly, a leak may be dealt with promptly, thereby minimizing damage caused by the leakage.

    Abstract: A fluid-activatable shut-off device, configured as a shut-off valve, has a valve housing formed with a flow passage therethrough and a movably supported valve body, which is movable between an open valve position and a closed valve position. In the open valve position, the valve body is mainly withdrawn from the flow passage, which is thereby essentially cleared. In the closed valve position, the valve body blocks the flow passage. Further, to compensate for variations in the actual flow caused by variations in the feed pressure and the like, the compensation is made a function of the actually measured flow. A controller or a batch flow meter for use in dispensing batches is equipped with an interface for setting a compensating time constant and a correction unit for compensation of changes in the flow. The correction unit can consist of a differentiator an a summation circuit. Using digital techniques, the correction unit can be made as a lead filter.

Either rate controller would operate the control valves to select the proper combination of operating nozzles in addition to adjusting the pressure.

Thereafter, the control provides command signals to the metering valve as a function of the desired nozzle pressures. A new value of the flow characteristic is determined as a function of the measured volume of fluid dispensed during the dispensing cycle to the measured nozzle pressure. During a subsequent dispensing cycle, the control determines the desired nozzle pressures by evaluating the model of flow rate of the fluid through the nozzle as a function of the new value of the flow characteristic.
