    Abstract: A cable clamp may be constructed from a hollow body, a wedge-shaped member and a means for dislodging the member from the body. The body includes a tapered channel that is sized and shaped to accommodate the member and round, flat or rectangular cable sections. The means for dislodging the member include an aperture extending from one side of the member to the other, at least one cylindrical bearing surface positioned at the upper end of the body, and a camshaft. The camshaft has at least one cylindrical end with an inward facing end and an outward facing end. A cylindrical shaft in orthogonally and eccentrically mounted to the inward facing end. The camshaft is positioned so that the cylindrical shaft will bear against the inner surface of the aperture and the end portion will bear against the bearing surface. When the camshaft is rotated, the cylindrical shaft will cause the aperture and the wedge-shaped member to be displaced upwardly from the body.

    Abstract: A hand held, trigger-actuated bow string release device has an elongate transversely flexible hand grip member coupled to and extending rearwardly from the rearward end of the body of the device. The hand grip member is coupled at its rearward end to a plate-like abutment member transverse to the longitudinal extent of the grip member so that when the grip member is gripped within a user's hand, the abutment member seats against the outer edge of the hand to prevent the grip member from being pulled forwardly from the hand as the grip member is longitudinally tensioned during drawing of the bow. The rearward end of the body is inclined with respect to the forward end of the body to provide ease of access to the trigger during use of the device.

Pawls carried by the main frame and by the lever are selectively cooperable with the drum ratchet to rotate, to hold, and to release, the drum, so as to reel, and to control the unreeling of, cable carried by the drum, in response to pivotal swinging of the lever.The cable is releasably retained on the drum, being wrapped thereon and passing through portions of the drum at two axially-spaced points, whereby sufficient turns of cable are retained on the drum to assure a capstan or snubbing effect, under all normal operating conditions, with an end portion of the cable arranged for set-screw securement to the drum, whereby cable replacement is simplified.
