Patent number: 7958605Abstract: A cap clip for fastening caps together is realized employing pressure type pincer snaps, allowing complex geometrical shapes to be formed while reducing the use of fasteners. In one embodiment, the cap clip includes a generally triangular base and three pincer snaps formed integrally with the base along the outer perimeter. Preferably, each pincer snap is comprised of a pair of convex walls and a shared clasping section lying along a radius of curvature path that are co-centric.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 2008Date of Patent: June 14, 2011Inventor: Michael A. Patent number: 7806953Abstract: A manually guided implement having a tool driven by an internal combustion engine, which draws combustion air in via an air filter disposed on an air filter base. The air filter is secured to the implement via a releasable securement device that includes a first securement element, and a second securement element that cooperates with the first securement element. The securement elements can be released from one another, or connected to one another, by means of a rotational movement about an axis of rotation. To achieve easy handling of the air filter, the first securement element is fixedly connected to the air filter.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 2007Date of Patent: October 5, 2010Assignee: Andreas Stihl AG & Co. Patent number: 6406508Abstract: A structure for securing the top and bottom cover portions of an air filter includes a wing member secured to the bottom cover portion. The wing member is attached to the cover portion through a post. The wing member has a wedged surface which is selectively moved along a wedged surface on a slot in the upper cover surface. The wedged surfaces cam the wing member to pivot. Once the wing member has moved through the slot, it is biased back and in a direction opposed to the rotation caused by the wedged surfaces. The wing member is thus secured on a surface on the upper cover member adjacent the slot. The wing member thus secures the two cover members in a snap fit connection. To release the snap fit connection, one merely biases the wing member in an opposed direction.Type: GrantFiled: September 19, 2000Date of Patent: June 18, 2002Assignee: Siemens Canada LimitedInventor: Stephen F. Patent number: 6230383Abstract: The invention relates to a method for providing releasable joining together of spacers in pairs which are preferably formed by support blocks for pallets or support walls on pallets or other load carriers by joining the spacers by means of flexible straps or by means of other releasable joining means, like pins or clamps. Spacers which are unattached or which already are integral building units in a respective pallet, are fed forward by means of a hauling track compressed in pairs to a joining station after which they are joined together and clamped together tightly. The invention is also related to machines for performing the method.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 1999Date of Patent: May 15, 2001Inventors: Johan Welleman, Sven Welleman

Patent number: 5054636Abstract: A clamping device for detachably joining together drums to be stored one above the other and/or side by side is formed as a block-shaped clamping device consisting of flexible material and containing at least two open incisions. Preferably, the clamping is of approximately cubic shape and the open incisions respectively become wider as viewed toward the inside. The widened zones have preferably cross-section shaped like arcuate segments.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 1990Date of Patent: October 8, 1991Inventor: Karl Netzer

Patent number: 4782561Abstract: A cone lock wherein a lever for rotating a cone in engagement within a socket of a container is provided with a stopper for defining the pivotal movement of the lever to prevent the cone lock from falling out. The lever is rotatable and slidable longitudinally for operating a pair of upper and lower cones which are set to be directed opposed to one another so that when one cone is removed, the other is not disengaged.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 1987Date of Patent: November 8, 1988Assignee: Koei Kinzoku Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Eisaku Hayama

Patent number: 4506796Abstract: A modular drum rack for storing and stacking drums. Two, three, four, or more laterally adjacent modules may be assembled together in a unit, to accommodate an equal number of drums in a single tier. Subsequent tiers can be stacked upon one another to form a drum stacking rack. The modules include openings for receiving fork truck tines to allow the units to be moved by a fork truck. Openings are provided on four sides of the units to permit handling from all directions. Two sets of openings are provided on the front and back of the unit to provide a balanced lift point for the unit with either an even number of drums or an odd number of drums. When the units are empty they are adapted to be interlocked with one another to reduce space requirements for return shipment.Type: GrantFiled: March 2, 1983Date of Patent: March 26, 1985Assignee: Equipment Company of AmericaInventor: Larry J.
