Abstract: A reusable adhesive wearable apparatus is disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the apparatus provides a cuff portion removably engageable with a target site, and an at least one stack of adhesive strips engaged with an outer surface of the cuff portion. Each of the at least one stack of adhesive strips provides a plurality of adhesive strips arranged in a stacked, removably engageable orientation, with an adhesive surface of each adhesive strip in the at least one stack facing outward, such that the adhesive surface of an uppermost adhesive strip in the at least one stack is exposed and capable of receiving thereon an at least one collected object. During use of the apparatus, the uppermost adhesive strip in the at least one stack may be selectively peeled away from said stack as desired, thereby exposing the adhesive surface of a next adhesive strip in said stack.

Abstract: Embodiments of the presently described device, system and method support upper extremity therapy through a control device. In various embodiments, the control device is provided as a central hub with atomic elements extending outwardly thereof, and the control device can incorporate a movement interpretation circuit, a touch detection circuit and/or one or more sensory transducers. In various embodiments, the control device is interoperable with a valence, an external computing device and a display device. Embodiments of the external computing device are operable to render a graphical depiction of simulated objects in a virtual world upon receiving a transmission of sensed human grasping of one or more atomic elements.

Abstract: An adjustable sheath for carrying an article includes a main body having a front surface, a rear surface opposite the front surface, and a peripheral edge, a receptacle configured to receive an article, wherein the receptacle is coupled to the front surface and the receptacle includes an outer surface, and a strap configured to retain the article within the receptacle, the strap including a first end portion removably coupled to the rear surface of the main body and a second end portion removably coupled to the outer surface of the receptacle. The top strap passes over the peripheral edge of the main body when coupled to the rear surface main body and the outer surface of the receptacle.

Abstract: A rescue assembly for rapid extrication of a victim from a dangerous environment includes a wearable base member (101, 201) and a rescue strap (103, 104) deployable therefrom. The rescue strap (103, 104) extends outwardly from the base member (101, 201) allowing a rescuer to form a secure connection to a rescue for extrication. Keeper assemblies (208, 209) cooperatively retain the rescue strap (103, 104) within the base member (101, 201) until deployed by the rescuer and a release assembly provides the ability to quickly release the rescue strap from the base member if desired by the rescuer.

Abstract: A stationery securing apparatus and writing instrument holder is provided with a band, at least a portion of which is elastic. At least two writing instrument loops are attached to the elastic band, and a male snap portion and a female snap portion attached to the band, configured and arranged so that when the band is not in use securing stationery, it can be folded or rolled up and the male snap portion and the female snap portion can be snapped together to form a compact writing instrument holder.

Abstract: A hand wear retention system has a cord having a first and second end, the cord for passing through sleeves of a garment, a first adjustable cord lock fastened to the first end, a second adjustable cord lock fastened to the second end, wherein the first and second ends protrude from the sleeves, positions of the first and second cord locks on the cord are adjustable and each of the first and second adjustable cord locks has a fastener for retaining hand wear. In another embodiment, the hand wear retention system has two anchors releasably mounted within the sleeves, each having a separate cord attached thereto, wherein the end of the cord has a cord lock which projects from the sleeve, wherein the cord lock has a fastener for engaging hand wear.

Abstract: The present disclosure is related to a wearable knitting needle support device. The wearable needle support or knitting pad includes an anchoring filling configured to support a needle in a desired position, a needle reception area with apertures on all or parts of the surface that covers the anchoring filling, and a contoured substrate opposite of the needle reception surface. The contoured substrate is concavely curved along at least one axis and serves to produce an identical curve in the lower piece 116. The knitting pad may be connected to a belt or other attachment mechanism that secures the pad to a select position on a user.

Abstract: A method for forming a double-sided loop strap includes: receiving a continuous longitudinal strip of loop material including a strip-form base bearing a field of upstanding loops on a fastening side of the strip bounded by opposite longitudinal edges, folding each of the longitudinal edges away from the fastening side, such that the base overlaps itself, and securing the folded edges in place by permanently bonding together overlapped areas of the base to form the double-sided loop strap.

Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus comprising a bobby pin holder, a bobby pin opening mechanism, and an adjustable bracelet made out of a durable material such as a leather strap that wraps around the user's wrist and is secured in place. The most preferred embodiments of the present invention include a bobby pin opening mechanism that has a pair of wedge shaped edges that can be used to open bobby pins by pressing the legs of the bobby pin against one of the wedge shaped edges, thereby forcing the legs of the bobby pin apart and opening the bobby pin for use by a hair dresser or hair stylist. Additionally, one or more ridges formed in the body of the bobby pin opening mechanism may be used to hold the bobby pin opened and ready for use.

Abstract: Provided is a band for holding a fluid detection system on a body of a wearer and methods of use thereof. The band comprises a strap having a first portion and a second portion. The second portion is configured to couple to the first portion and to form a closed loop adjustable in diameter to fit around a body part of the wearer. The band further comprises a pouch configured to securely hold an alarm of the fluid detection system, and a flap configured to form a closed loop adjustable in diameter to fit the size of the alarm. The flap may include one or more openings to provide audibility and visibility of a signal produced by the alarm. The band may be securely attached to any body part including an arm, a hand, a waist, a head, a leg, a foot, a wrist, a trunk, a neck, or a chest.

Abstract: A device is disclosed for wearing on a wrist or other body part including a central piece held on the body part by a pair of straps. A first strap includes fastening holes and the second strap includes a pin plate having pins for mating within the fastening holes in the first strap to affix the device to the body part. The pins are off-center with respect to a lengthwise centerline dividing a width of the pin plate in half. The pin plate may be affixed to the second strap into different orientations, to thereby allow adjustment of a fit of the device to the body part with finer granularity than provided by the pitch of the fastening holes in the first strap.

Abstract: A device and method to facilitate wearing of jewelry items which have hoop and clasp closures, comprising: a base or clamp for stabilizing the device on a surface; a wire guide member protruding from the base and affixed securely thereto, the wire guide having hook at its opposite end for engaging a distal hoop or link on an unclasped jewelry item, thereby permitting a person to: a. engage one end of a jewelry object with a device, b. open a complementary jewelry clasp with one or both free hands, c. position a wrist or neck within the bight of the jewelry item, d. close the clasp upon the hoop link, and e. slidably remove the clasped jewelry item from the device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to conveniently carry a mobile device, among others, on a wrist brace. The systems include a case to enclose the mobile device and a system to wear the apparatus on a wrist. The system is comprised of the case; a case tether coupled to the case; a wristband tether coupled to a wrist brace; a finger ring to loop around a finger and a case lock to secure the case in a closed position. Also presented, a method to carry and use the device while tethered to a wrist.

Abstract: A sleeve for use in an assembly for coupling a wristworn device to a first end of a strap. The sleeve has a first end dimensioned to be received in the recess in the inner face of the first lug of a wristworn device, an inner cavity dimensioned to receive therein the first end of a conventional spring bar, and a retractor coupled to the sleeve for urging the first end of the spring bar towards the second end of the spring bar. The second end of the spring bar is coupled to the second lug, the spring bar is coupled to the strap, the first end of the spring bar is positioned in the inner cavity of the sleeve and the first end of the sleeve is coupled to the first lug. A removable retractor for use with a spring bar, which allows for the use of a plurality of spring bars and therefore, lends itself to widespread use and retrofitting of an assembly that couples a strap to a wristworn device, is also provided.

Abstract: A fastening device is disclosed as it may be used for jewelry (e.g., on a watch band). An example fastening device has a decorative top portion. A first arm extends from a first end of the decorative top portion, the first arm having a notch formed on an interior of a free end of the decorative top portion. A second arm extends from a second end of the decorative top portion. A bottom portion has a shape that substantially follows a shape of the decorative top portion. The bottom portion pivotally connects to the second arm. The bottom portion is formed to engage the notch of the first arm in a closed position.

Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed to support a portion of the weight of a recreational product while riding on a lift. The apparatus includes a first element attachable to a recreational product user, and a second element fixedly supported relative to the recreational product. The first element includes a tether that can be secured to a recreational product user's limb at the first end of the tether; and a coupling fitting that is attached at or near the second end of the tether. The second element is fixed on the recreational product and includes a platform and a hook supported by the platform. A portion of the platform and the coupling fitting are configured to be magnetically attracted to each other. The hook is configured to engage the coupling fitting. When the hook and coupling fitting are fully engaged the platform and coupling fitting are spaced apart from each other.

Abstract: A fastening device, and corresponding methods of manufacture and use, are disclosed as the fastening device may be worn on an arm. In an example, the fastening device includes a band portion having an opening formed in the band portion. The opening is sized to slide onto a watchband. The fastening device may also include an edge portion of the band portion. A least one opening is provided with the edge portion for attaching a bracelet or other jewelry. As such, the bracelet or other jewelry is held next to the watchband when worn on the arm so that the bracelet or other jewelry does not slide up and down the arm.

Abstract: A music player is worn on a limb of a body when in use and includes: a case; a plurality of buttons through which an instruction relating to music reproduction is given; and a band fitting portion to which a band is fittable, the band being used when the case is worn on the limb. In the music player, the case has a chamfer constituted of a plane whose line of intersection with the band is diagonal to a longitudinal direction of the band, the plural buttons are provided on an upper face of the case, an arrangement direction of the plural buttons being parallel to the plane constituting the chamfer, and the chamfer has an audio output terminal. Preferably, the chamfer has a connection terminal to which an exercise state detection sensor for detecting a state of exercise practiced by a wearer of the music player is connectable.

Abstract: A retainer apparatus for removably engaging a tablet computer to a user's leg, the retainer apparatus includes a pair of opposed clips each being removably engagable to an outer periphery of the tablet, via a detachable extension member that is disposed to span between the opposing pair of clips resulting in the clips being compressed as against the tablet outer periphery at an angle that creates a moment that in effect rotates each clip to rotatably bind the clip to the tablet outer periphery for improved frictional contact between the clip and the tablet outer periphery. Also included in the retainer apparatus is a disconnectable band element that is removably attached to the extension member and is adapted to extend around and removably engage the user's leg.

Abstract: A pipe or purse accessory for attachment to and around the barrel of a pipe (or a wrist or ankle) is disclosed having a collar wherein the collar is sized for cooperative engagement with the pipe barrel or wrist/ankle. A strap having a first end is attached to the collar and a pocket is attached to the second end of the strap; a clasp allowing detachable engagement with the strap, in proximity with the collar is also included. The collar may be made of an elastic material for a conformable fit around the pipe. The collar size may be adjustable. The clasp to secure the pocket in proximity to the collar may be magnetic, use hooks and loops, buttons and combinations thereof. A band may be affixed to the strap allowing insertion and engagement with an object, such as a key. A slot may be positioned within the pocket to allow conformable insertion and engagement with an object, such as a key.

Abstract: An apparatus for tethering tool(s) to a worker, object, support or the like, allows single or multiple tools to remain in close proximity to the worker for easy access and use. The tool(s) remain secured, so as not to fall out of the worker's range or fall to a point where the tools become lost.

Abstract: An attachment device with a whistle comprises a securing device of a flexible joining strap and a release button, the assembly being housed in a hollow body made from plastic material. The hollow body is injection molded in a single part being subdivided into a first compartment housing the whistle and a second compartment housing the release button and a securing jaw. The latter is composed of a first jamming surface integral to the movable release button and a fixed second jamming surface molded together with the body, said part being open molded by means of a stop valve joined to the body of the compartment by a hinge.

Abstract: A hand-mounted carrier is provided comprising a panel member overlaying at least a portion of the back of the hand. The carrier includes an upper surface facing away from the hand and a lower surface facing toward the hand. The upper surface defines a mounting area thereon for securing at least one accessory. At least one loop member is attached to the panel member for at least partially wrapping around at least one finger of the hand to partially anchor a portion of the panel member to the hand. At least one strap is attached to the panel member for at least partially wrapping around the wrist of the hand to anchor at least a portion of the panel member to the hand.

A wrist band is provided in a loop. The loop forms an opening for a wrist. The wrist band is coupled to the tongue.

Abstract: A support device or clamp connects to a soft, flexible tube, such as a medical line, to hold the tube in an open condition. The device includes a flexible body with interengaging structure that biases the body into a desired shape when in a closed position or condition. The desired shape generally matches the outer shape of the medical line. An adhesive is disposed on the support device so as to contact the secured portion of the medical line to inhibit the walls of the line from collapsing or creasing. The support device may include base structure that has an adhesive lower surface for attaching the support device to a patient's skin.

Abstract: The exemplary embodiments of the coupling device described and illustrated herein are suitable for use as a secondary or redundant system for retaining attachment between a user's arm and a closed handled device in the event the user looses her grip of the device handle. Each of the coupling devices include a body constructed from a pliable material, such as leather, nylon, poly or cotton webbing, etc. Formed at the ends of the body are first and second loops and that define first and second openings, respectively. The first opening is sized and configured such that the second loop may be routed therethrough. The second opening is sized to slide over the hand and wrist of a user.

Abstract: A system for holding golf tees on a hand of a golfer, comprising a tee holding device removably mounted on a securing flap of a glove, and including a mounting portion for mounting on the securing flap of the glove and a tee receiving portion mounted on the mounting portion for removably receiving at least one golf tee. The mounting portion defines a slot with closed ends for receiving the flap. The system may include a glove with a securing flap for selectively securing together sections of a back portion of the glove located on opposite sides of an expansion slit.

Abstract: A bookmark includes a seamless elastic band which is stretchable to loop around a group of pages in a book and around a cover of the book in order to identify a page place in the book. The band includes a slider thereon which has a front surface are that receives an image which is on one side of a sticker. When a bookmark is placed on a book, the slide is moveable along the elastic band while the elastic band is stationary, so that the slider can be placed at different locations on the cover of the book.

Abstract: A clamping device includes elongated first and second butt housings that are connected pivotally to each other and that have free ends, which are locked relative to each other by a releasable locking unit. Two aligned first large notches in two side walls of the first butt housing and two aligned second large notches in two side walls of the second butt housing constitute a confining hole unit that is adapted to permit extension of an article. Elastic first and second pressing elements are disposed respectively within the first and second butt housings, and are adapted to clamp the article therebetween.

Abstract: The belt clip for a cellular telephone includes a substantially rigid back plate and an expansible fabric layer (or flexible cover) partially covering the front of the back plate. The expansible layer has a degree of elasticity sufficient to secure the cell phone between the expansible layer and the back plate. A common clip (typically, an inverted U-shaped member) is mounted to the rear side of the back plate which enables the wearer to place the retained cell phone and belt clip onto his or her belt. The expansible layer may include a grip tab mounted on a top edge of the expansible layer to facilitate insertion and removal of the cell phone from the interspace between the expansible layer and the back plate. The method includes removably mounting the substantially rigid plate onto the person's belt and at least partially surrounding the cell phone with elastic material and capturing the cell phone between the material and the rigid plate.

Abstract: A non-rigid identification card holder system is provided which can be attached to a breakaway lanyard for holding the identification card about the neck, to a clip for attaching the identification card to an article of clothing, or to a band for securing the card about the arm or leg. The identification card holder comprises at least one pocket sized to hold the identification card. In a preferred embodiment, at least one face of the pocket comprises a transparent polymeric material to allow easy viewing of the card. Any information contained on electronic chips which may be part of the card can also be scanned through the transparent material. A reinforced hole may be provided in the pocket face through which a finger may be inserted to aid in removing the identification card from the pocket. In another preferred embodiment, the card holder has two back-to-back pockets with the outer face of each pocket comprising a window of transparent polymeric material.

Abstract: A shoe mounted emergency identification information carrying assembly and method are provided. In a preferred embodiment, one or more members are provided to loop around shoe components such as the shoe tongue, laces, latches, or the like. The one or more members are preferably affixed together to form a looping member that can be inserted underneath the shoe components and then over the shoe components. In one embodiment, the one or more members may be affixed together at an overlap region such that the opposite sides of the overlap region are secured and the inner portion thereof can be opened to receive or loop around one or more shoe components, straps, or buckles. At least one fastener is also provided to fix the looping member in position around the shoe components by forming a closed loop. An interior surface of the looping member is not visible once the closed loop is formed and a detailed emergency identification information label is positioned there.

Abstract: The brake device (30) for a lace (2), of a boot (31), sliding in a base part (1) linked to the boot (31), comprises a lever (3) articulated on the base part (1), returned by an elastic means (11) into a position of contact with the lace (2) preventing the sliding of the lace (2) in one direction by pressing. It is noteworthy in that the lever (3) has holding means (15, 16) enabling it to maintain a second, stable position allowing the sliding of the lace (2) in both directions. This device (30) makes the action for opening the boot more convenient.

Abstract: A method for collecting and storing metallic hair clips. The metallic hair clips are located within a container that consists of a dancer's bag, luggage, a backpack, or a briefcase. At least one magnet is positioned inside a decorative object. The decorative object is placed within the container and then retained within the container while carrying the container. During the carrying, the decorative object moves (or shifts) within the container as a result of the carrying, thereby causing metallic clips dispersed within the container to collect on an outside surface of the decorative object. After carrying the container, the decorative object may be removed from the container (with the metallic clips retained on its outside surface.) The decorative object may be comprised of a child's stuffed toy, a cloth object shaped like a ballet slipper or a stuffed animal dressed like a ballerina.

Abstract: The invention relates to a fastening device for a mobile telecommunication unit, including means for coupling said device to the unit and means for fastening the device to a garment or a belt. According to the invention, the unit includes an orifice with at least one connector for connection to an external automobile vehicle antenna and the coupling means are conformed to be able to cooperate with the orifice and cover the connector.

Abstract: An attachment loop for affixing to a handheld device. The attachment loop includes a self-adhesive base panel having a ring portion pivotally attached thereto. A segment of the ring portion is captured within a channel of the base panel. The base panel has an end profile generally matching the inside opening profile of the ring portion to permit the ring portion to lay flush against the surface of the handheld device.

Abstract: A universal holder device for mounting a tool upon a user's hand has a hand attachment element and a tool attachment element. The hand attachment element includes an attachment post. The hand attachment element further includes a first attachment strap and a second attachment strap that cooperate to removably attach the hand attachment element to the user's hand. The tool attachment element has an adhesive layer for attaching the tool attachment element to the tool. The tool attachment element also includes a post receiving bore that is shaped to receive the attachment post to rotatably mount the tool upon the hand attachment element.

Abstract: A tool tether that includes an adjustable lanyard having a loop that fits over a user's hand that can be tightened thereon. An opposite end of the lanyard from the loop includes a swivel clasping mechanism that can be connected to one of a plurality of hardware receptacles. The hardware receptacles include an eyelet or the like to allow it to be secured to the clasping mechanism. The hardware receptacles come in a wide variety of sizes to accommodate tools and hardware of different sizes and weights. In one embodiment, the hardware receptacles are cylindrically shaped rubber cups that are rigid enough to support different tools, and have different diameters. In an alternate embodiment, the hardware receptacles are flexible ring members that can be wrapped around a particular tool or component.
