    Abstract: Disclosed is a securing device for personal pagers consisting of a plastic holster-type device that includes interchangeable securing means for attaching it to the clothes of the user. The present invention includes a conventional belt clip for attaching to belts and the like as well as a locking straight pin, either of which can be used at any one given time. The incorporation of the pin allows the user to attach the pager to virtually any article of clothing in a secure manner in a situation where the belt clip would be insufficient.

The apparatus includes a panel configured to provide support for the handheld device, defining an aperture and having a mating structure located in the aperture. The apparatus further includes a clip assembly operative to engage an article of clothing and configured to releasably attach to the mating structure, and thereby to impart a first configuration to the apparatus. The apparatus also includes a replacement insert configured to releaseably attach to the mating structure in place of the clip assembly, and thereby to impart a second configuration to the apparatus.

    Abstract: A container detachably securable to an article of clothing or other item. The container includes a first panel and a second panel. The first and second panels are attached at their peripheral edges to form a pouch with an opening thereto. The pouch defines exterior and interior surfaces. The container further includes a clamp secured to the pouch for detachably securing the container to an article of clothing or other item. The container still further includes a flap extending from the second panel adjacent the opening to the pouch. The flap folds over the exterior surface of the first panel and the clamp secured thereto, is fastenable to the clamp, and is liftable to open the pouch while the clamp remains secured to the exterior surface of the first panel.

    Abstract: A tool tether that includes an adjustable lanyard having a loop that fits over a user's hand that can be tightened thereon. An opposite end of the lanyard from the loop includes a swivel clasping mechanism that can be connected to one of a plurality of hardware receptacles. The hardware receptacles include an eyelet or the like to allow it to be secured to the clasping mechanism. The hardware receptacles come in a wide variety of sizes to accommodate tools and hardware of different sizes and weights. In one embodiment, the hardware receptacles are cylindrically shaped rubber cups that are rigid enough to support different tools, and have different diameters. In an alternate embodiment, the hardware receptacles are flexible ring members that can be wrapped around a particular tool or component.
