Abstract: A device and a method for attaching a cover to a structure includes a female snap having a central open surface to receive by friction fit a complementary male snap, a lever connected to the female snap, wherein the lever extends sufficiently out from the female snap to enable one to gain grasp of the lever, and a pin having a piercing portion which serves to retain a fabric material.
Abstract: A securing arrangement for fitting a foot mat to the floor of the foot space of a motor vehicle may have at least one securing element, wherein the securing element has an upper portion which is constructed for releasable fitting of the foot mat, and a pin which is connected to the upper portion and which is guided through an opening in the floor. There is further provided a clamping element which is locked to the pin at the side of the floor facing away from the upper portion in order to thus clamp the floor between the upper portion and the clamping element. At least one reinforcement plate is arranged between the clamping element and the floor.
Abstract: A fastening clip assembly configured to securely fasten to a mounting stud of a panel includes a main clip and a tapered member, such as a tapered locking pin. The main clip may include a central column defining a central passage. The central column may include a ledge. The tapered locking pin integrally connects to the central column through at least one flash joint integrally connected to the main clip proximate the ledge. The said tapered locking pin is configured to move into the central passage in order to securely fasten the assembly to the mounting stud.

Abstract: A standoff adaptor for a push pin. A spacer has a hole formed in one end to complementarily receive a push pin with the pin of the push pin extending outwardly therefrom. A head is threadedly mounted to the opposite end of the spacer and may be adjusted to tightly grip an item between a spacer and head.
Abstract: A kit of components for use with a pin permeable board, the kit of components comprising a pin suitable for penetrating the pin permeable board for frictional engagement with the pin permeable board; and a magnet; further wherein the pin has a gripping handle, the gripping handle having a magnet attractive top surface configured to receive the magnet; whereby the magnet can be attached to the gripping handle by magnetic force thereby to allow an object to be displayed to be secured to the gripping handle between the handle and the magnet, and wherein the magnet remains in position on the gripping handle by magnetic attraction through the object when the pin is engaged in a vertically disposed pin permeableboard.
Abstract: A pushpin device of one embodiment preferably comprises a head adapted to allow a user to apply pressure to the head without discomfort. A longitudinally extending fastening member comprises a point at a distal end and is coupled to the head at a proximal end. A base comprises an aperture. The aperture is configured to allow the fastening member to pass through the base as the head moves proximate to the base. An outer member is coupled to the head and the base. The outer member comprises a first position in which the head is spaced from the base and the outer member encloses a longitudinal segment of the fastening member. In a second position the head is proximate to the base and the outer member is deformed, thereby allowing the fastening member to extend through the aperture. The outer member exerts a countering force on the base and the head. One of the head and the base comprises magnetically susceptible material and the other comprises magnetic material.
Abstract: A drawing pin having functionality of drawing back automatically is provided, which includes a containing portion and a pin portion. The pin portion is disposed in the containing portion when the pin portion is at a first location, and an appropriate part of the pin portion is exposed outside the containing portion when the pin portion is at a second location. The containing portion provides a resilient force that enables the pin portion to draw back from the second location to the first location automatically when the pin portion moves from the first location to the second location.

Abstract: A pushpin comprising a pin suitable for penetrating a pin permeable object for frictional engagement with the pin permeable object; a gripping handle on the pin, the gripping handle having a magnet attractive surface so that a magnet can be attached to the gripping handle thereby to allow an object to be displayed to be secured to the gripping handle between the handle and the magnet.
Abstract: A device for magnetically attaching jewelry, name tags or the like to garments. The device includes inner and outer magnets and an anchor attached to the outer magnet. A pin-secured jewelry article or name tag is secured to the garment by passing the pin through a passageway in the anchor and then bringing the inner and outer magnets into magnetically close proximity on opposite sides of the garment.
Abstract: An interchangeable clasp comprising a clasp body having a plurality of interconnecting elements consisting of a spring loaded connector member and a receiving recess. The connector typically comprises a hollow cylindrical sleeve and a rigid rod having an outside diameter less than the inner diameter of the hollow cylindrical sleeve. The rigid rod has a proximal end and an opposite distal end with respect to the hollow cylindrical sleeve. The proximal end is engaged with a spring mechanism within the hollow cylindrical sleeve that biases the distal end of the rod to a distal position and allows for movement of the rod between a proximal and a distal position. The distal end culminates in a head member with exterior dimensions such that the head member is capable of being removably inserted within, and retained by a cap end of the receiving recess. The receiving recess is cylindrical in dimension, has an opening through its outer wall and is capped at opposite ends for engaging the connector.
Abstract: A transformer or inductor bobbin (2) having pins (24) of a rectangular cross-section with complementarily profiled ends (24A, 24B), of which one (24A) is tapered and the other (24B) has a recess (24E). The rectangular cross-section allows the pins to offer greater resistance to bending in the direction of their cross-section's greater dimension (for pulling winding wire from the pins), while offering easier bending in the direction of their cross-section's greater dimension (for clinching to a printed circuit board). The use of pins having complementary profiles at their opposite ends allows the pins to be separated simply and efficiently from a length of material with no material wastage, and the provision of a taper at one end of a pin and a recess at the other end allows easy insertion of the tapered end into a pre-formed printed circuit board hole while the recessed end provides for collection of scraped material during pin insertion into an undersized hole (22) in the bobbin.
Abstract: A snap together display badge intended to be worn on a person's clothing as a name badge, display button or the like. An open frame equipped with front and rear ridges receives a transparent cover, the display material, and a backplate through the rear, the cover abutting the front ridges and the backplate passing interferingly by the rear ridge. An S-shaped wire clasp is detachably affixed to the backplate by means of a snap attachment made up of ramp elements and protrusions positioned in paired arrangement about an opening in the backplate and a bridge element traversing the opening. The S-shaped body of the clasp is received by the supports of the bridge when the ends of the clasp body are passed over the ramp elements and into position between the protrusion and ramp of each of the pairs thereof.
