Patent number: 6654988Abstract: A stoppable zipper slider is mainly a set of sustaining leaf springs, consisting of a single or a pair of pieces, on the inner surface of the covering portion of the zipper slider. The set of sustaining leaf springs, of single piece or two pieces, with one end sustaining downward against the top surface of a stopping hook piece and the other end propping up in between the tail of the hook piece and the slider body, enable a pull tab's sliding along a reserved gap within the covering portion and propping the bottom of one leaf spring open and then entering a braking notch of the stopping hook piece so as to accomplish the action of re-assembly.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 2002Date of Patent: December 2, 2003Inventor: Roger C. Patent number: 6647599Abstract: A positioning mechanism of a zipper slide for engaging or disengaging two lengths of teeth on two opposite teeth tapes is disclosed. The positioning mechanism includes: a main body having a buckling portion, a plane surface, a recess, and a support portion formed thereon, wherein a positioning member positioned on the buckling portion of the main body, wherein the positioning member has a locking part, which can insert into the recess of the main body, formed in one end of the positioning member; a pull tab unit for facilitating the manipulation of pulling the zipper slide, wherein the pull tab unit has a beam that is placed on the plane surface; and a lid connected with a top surface of the main body and covering the buckling portion, the plane surface, the recess, the support portion, the positioning portion, and the front of the pull tab unit.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 2002Date of Patent: November 18, 2003Inventor: Yu-Pau Lin

Patent number: 6637078Abstract: It relates to a slider for slider fastener with locking device where a sheet-like spring having a locking pawl at one end is fixed at the other end on a body. A bent portion of a spring portion of the fixed spring is exposed at a guide post, and a pull is mounted between the body and the spring so as to be raised or laid. A cam is provided on a lower face of an axle of the pull, and the axle slides on an inclined guide portion on the body. When the pull is laid forward of the body, a gap is formed between an edge of a through hole of a grip portion of the pull and the bent portion of the spring. Even if a load is applied to the pull in the horizontal direction or the vertical direction, this gap prevents the spring from plastic deformation, so that the spring is never plastically deformed under any use condition, thereby ensuring an excellent locking function.Type: GrantFiled: April 11, 2002Date of Patent: October 28, 2003Assignee: YKK CorporationInventors: Kazuo Nagata, Koji Yamagishi

Patent number: 5611121Abstract: In an automatic lock slider for a concealed slide fastener, a fastener-element guide post of a slider body has an upper groove receiving a locking lever and a lower groove slidably receiving a sliding end of a pivoting release member. A spring mounted in the guide post acts on an actuating arm of the locking lever to urge a locking pawl of the locking lever to normally project into a fastener-element guide channel of the slider body. An ornamental knob attached to the pivoting release member covers exposed part of the slider body. As the knob is pulled to pivotally move the release member, the locking pawl is retracted from the guide channel.Type: GrantFiled: May 20, 1996Date of Patent: March 18, 1997Assignee: YKK CorporationInventors: Mitsuru Akeno, Nobuhiro Ichikawa

Patent number: 5031286Abstract: A locking slider assembly is shown for use with a slide fastener having separable fastener elements having a slider body, upper and lower spaced parallel wings joined at their front ends on the body. A pair of upstanding body tabs are upstruck from the upper wing which also has a front and rear opening therethrough. A leaf spring has a down turned nose terminating in a downwardly bent spring prong for engaging the fastener elements of the slide fastener. A spring means extends off the leaf spring rearwardly of the down turned nose and passes into the forward openings of the upper wing and is positioned to be engaged by the upstanding body tabs on the upper wing. A spring biasing extension is in engagement with the upper wing to impart spring loading to the spring prong to assure engagement with the fastener elements.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 1990Date of Patent: July 16, 1991Assignee: Talon, Inc.Inventor: Stanley G.
