The fastener may comprise a seat portion, at least one arm extending from the seat portion, and a back portion oriented to extend from the seat portion. The back portion may define an aperture therethrough. The fastener may also include a clip having a first side and a second side. The first side may define a window and the second side may include a flange that defines a port therethrough. The back portion may be sandwiched between the first and second sides of the clip and the window and port may each be generally aligned with the aperture.

Abstract: Flexible straps for a carrier include a strap body having a top, bottom, two lateral and two end surfaces. The strap body has a lengthwise axis, a widthwise axis and a thickness axis. At least one aperture can extend through the strap body from the top to the bottom surface and can be space apart from each other along the lengthwise axis by a spacer portion. The flexible strap includes a spacer cross-sectional area defined by an area of a cross-section of the spacer portion cut by a plane oriented orthogonally to the lengthwise axis. The flexible strap includes an aperture cross-sectional area defined by an area of a cross-section taken at a widthwise widest point of at least one of the apertures cut by a plane oriented orthogonally to the lengthwise axis. The aperture cross-sectional area is greater than at least two-thirds of the spacer cross-sectional area.

Abstract: A clip having a main clip body that is made of resin and has a shape in front view that is closed at one end and open at the other end. The main clip body has engaging arms and holding members positioned to the inside of the engaging arms. The engaging arms are configured so as to be elastically deformed when the main clip body passes through an installing hole of a partner panel and to engage with a rim of the hole when the engaging arms have been inserted. The holding members are configured so as to keep the main clip body fitted onto the clip seat of the mounted member. The engaging arms and the holding members are connected to assume a substantially diamond-shaped loop in front view, and are configured so that the positions thereof differ in side view, and overlap in front view, when elastically deformed.

Abstract: A connector securing a liner to a scuff in a container sidewall is disclosed. The connector is adapted to receive and secure various thicknesses of liners and scuffs. The connector is made of a light weight, high strength flexible material and well suited to secure non-metallic scuffs and non-metallic linings. The connector includes a transition piece that utilizes clamping force (pre-tightening force) to connect two different thicknesses of panels made of continuous glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic material. The connector includes a thick lower opening adapted to secure the scuff and a thin upper opening adapted to secure the liner. In an exemplary embodiment of the invention, the width of the lower opening is between 5.0 mm and 5.5 mm while the width of the upper opening is between 1.5 mm and 2.0 mm.

Abstract: A garment clip system for hangers for adjustably holding various clothing has a cover that fits over a central portion of a hanger and has two clips moveably mounted along a portion of hanger that clips cloths to hold them to the hanger. An elastic cord connects each clip to the cover and keeps the clips in a selected place. A closure is disposed along the bottom that opens to allow a user to attach garment clip system for hangers to any hanger. A hook and loop connector is used to keep closure closed. In another embodiment, a retractor is mounted within cover to keep tension on a retractable cord that connects the clips. The retractor is biased using a spring to keep the desired tension on the cords.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for mounting a buoyancy module onto a rigid pipe having a clamp. In one embodiment the clamp includes pads for clamping onto the outer surface or coating of the rigid pip, the pads having a teeth or serrations formed thereon for gripping the outer surface of the pipe. In a second embodiment, the clamp includes one or more coil springs formed from a resilient material adapted to be wound around the outer circumference of the pipe. The method for mounting a buoyancy module onto a rigid pipe includes the steps of reducing the outer diameter of the pipe at a location of the pipe to which a buoyancy module is to be attached and subsequently mounting a buoyancy module at such location.

Abstract: An attachment mount and receiver system for attaching articles to a garment. A receiver has openings for affixing the receiver to a support that is then attached to a compatible garment. The mount has openings for affixing an article thereto. A pair of flexible springs permit connected tines to be compressed inwardly, allowing the mount to be slidingly inserted into the receiver. A barb at the end of each tine engages an end wall of the receiver when the mount is fully seated. Tines are compressed inwardly and the mount is withdrawable. Selective locks can inhibit the tines from being compressed. Resistance to prying the mount away from the receiver is also provided.

Abstract: Various clamps for connecting one tubular member to another, methods of using and making such clamps are disclosed. In one aspect a clamp for coupling a first tubular member to a second tubular member is provided. The clamp includes a first clamp half and a second clamp half engageable with the first clamp half. The first and second clamp halves define a first through bore to accommodate the first tubular member and a second through bore to accommodate the second tubular member. A strap is adapted to circumscribe at least a portion of and bring into engagement the first and second clamp halves. The clamp is buoyant in water.

Abstract: The instrument stand, which supports an instrument on a wire rack or similar surface, includes a body, a biasing element and a hook member. The stand is capable of connecting to an instrument, and the biasing element, preferably formed by at least two legs, is also connected to the body, wherein when contacting a surface the legs bias the body in a direction opposite the surface. The hook member connects to one of either a leg or the body, such that the hook member is capable of engaging the surface to thereby oppose the bias by the legs.

Abstract: An interstud rail fastening system is employed. In one aspect, at least one attachment leg, a brim or umbrella, and a coupling post are integrated as a single piece. In another aspect, a clamp is coupled to a fastener having a Christmas tree type engagement segment which is fastened to a building rail. Furthermore, a multiple step fastener is useable with different size building rails. An additional aspect employs a telescopically adjustable rail.

The interface between the assembled clamp halves and the module edge is filled by a flexible gasket material, such as EPDM rubber. A clamp assembly is rotatably connected to the side walls and movable in the cavity. The clamp assembly includes a curved first clamp arm rotated from a receiving position to a retention position, both within the passageway. An oppositely curved second clamp arm rotates from a release position outside the passageway to a clamping position within the passageway. An arm hinge integrally connecting the first and second clamp arms permits the clamp arms to rotate independently. Clamp assembly first and second hinge pins are individually rotatably received in the side walls. A hinge pin rotational axis also defines an arm hinge rotational axis. The second clamp arm ratchets against a toothed member to retain a tube between the first and second clamp arms.

Abstract: The present invention provides an advancing mechanism for a fixture. The fixture includes an elongated rod, a first jaw and a second jaw. The first jaw and the second jaw are assembled with the elongated rod. The second jaw has a pivotal portion and a grip. A trigger is connected outside the pivotal portion. A front chamber is formed in the pivotal portion for receiving a plurality of clasping pieces and a restoring spring penetrated by the elongated rod. The restoring spring pushes the clasping pieces to synchronously drive a push rod connected to the trigger. Each of the clasping pieces is formed with a groove facing the restoring spring. The restoring spring is formed with a guiding section bent toward the clasping pieces. The guiding section is disposed in the groove to guide the second jaw to advance smoothly.
