Abstract: A combination-type curtain hook is disclosed. A combination-type curtain hook having a stitching strap and a moving hook, characterized in that the stitching strap includes a stitching piece having one side being mounted with a plurality of protruded blocks being spaced apart to form a sliding rail, and the other side of the stitching piece is stitched to the folded flap of a curtain, and the moving hook including a pair of protruded arms at one side thereof is engageable with the protruded block and the protruded arms are positioned at the gap formed between each neighboring protruded blocks, thereby the sliding hook slides up and down along the protruded blocks, achieving the positioning and height adjustment of the curtain.

Abstract: The present invention is a reversible single-piece flex holder for retaining a flexible sign face to a sign frame. The flex holder has a latch block and a latch blade movable toward the latch block about a hinge, for clamping the margin of a sign face. A pair of pivot lips are provided on the outside of the flex holder for engagement into a slot in a sign frame. These pivot lips are symmetrical to each other relative to a clamping axis of the flex holder, such that the flex holder is interchangeably mountable to the margin of a flexible sign face. The flex holder also has a stopper lip extending from the latch block and a stopper bulge on the latch blade. The lip and the bulge interfere with each other when the latch blade is reopened to a certain extent to prevent over-stressing the hinge.

Abstract: A fastening assembly and method uses a belt loop/snap arrangement in which a belt loop of a pair of pants or other garment is combined with a female or male snap part. The other mating snap part half (male or female) is attached to the bag or carrying case of an electronic device such as a cellular phone, CD player, or wearable computers, etc. The belt loops on which the snap parts are attached can be sewn on pants in vertical, horizontal and criss-cross arrangements to form “I” type, “H” type, “X” type, “Y” type and “V” type arrangements. The snap fasteners are preferably placed on the middle area of the belt loop and at the center to about the upper ⅓ to ⅕ of the back side of the bag or carrier for the electronic device.

Abstract: Flexible elastomer wrap panels stretched and clamped encircling submerged pilings, risers and pipelines are coated to resist degradation by any form of marine life, and incorporate an interior pile-facing felt layer impregnated with a corrosion inhibiting and biocidal gel, providing long term protection for pilings and like submerged objects. The wrap panels present radial rib-strakes protruding outward from the piling and extending along the piling in a longitudinal direction, either vertically, parallel to the vertical axis of the piling or pipe, or slanting helically, reducing or eliminating aeolian vibration induced by flowing ocean currents causing vortex formation. In some embodiments, the wrap panels and strakes incorporate a marine growth inhibiting filler material.

Abstract: A retainer catch assembly includes a receiver having an inner channel and an outer shell and a plurality of detents aligned on each of opposite sides of the outer shell. One or more spring clips are selectably positioned within a detent aligned on each side of the outer shell. A striker is further positioned within the inner channel so that it is removable from the inner channel under an adjustable force depending upon the relative position of the spring clip. The retainer catch assembly may be particularly suited to a vehicle center console wherein a cover is slidable with respect to a compartment and requires that the cover have an adjustable removal force depending upon the position of the cover relative to the compartment.

Abstract: A clip for the purpose of fastening plastic, tarpaulins, fabric or other flexible-sheet goods to any kind of structure, appurtenance to a structure or vehicle or other construct or object, where the framing of such structure, appurtenance, or object consists of pipe, rod, or other tubular component which is most commonly round in cross-section and of metal or plastic, but other configurations and compositions are also possible. The clip allows a firm and solid connection of the flexible-sheet goods to the tubular components, in a manner which does not damage the flexible-sheet goods, and is removable and reusable.

Abstract: A connector and method for connecting two drywall corner finishing devices. The connector connects and/or aligns the two drywall corner finishing devices positioned end to end by being inserted into corresponding openings located in the profile of the drywall corner finishing devices. The side members of the connector are pinched in, reducing the size and shape of the cross-section of the connector so as to fit within the corresponding openings. When released the side members deflect back pressing out against the sidewall of the openings.

Abstract: The present invention relates to hair barrettes. More specifically, hair barrettes with removable clasps. The removable clasps may be attached to the barrette by a variety of different structure, including direct attachment and attachment through an intermediate universal adapter. The universal adapter allows the clasp to remain in the hair while simultaneously exchanging the ornamental component of the hair barrette. Furthermore, the universal adapter allows interchange of parts such that any size clasp may be used with any of the receiving ornamental components.

Abstract: A viewing stand for an electronic device is composed of a mounting plate, a base, a selection arm, and a pivot pin. The base is pivotally connected to the mounting plate by the pivot pin. The selection arm is rotatably coupled to the base. A viewing position can be selected by rotating the base to a desired position. A desired position can correspond to an upright position, whereby the electronic device can be viewed horizontally, or to a gently sloping position, whereby the electronic device can be viewed from above. Once the base is in the desired position, the selection arm can be inserted into a corresponding positioning receptacle located on the mounting plate. Multiple positioning receptacles permit multiple viewing positions, thus enhancing the viewing options for the user of the electronic device. When no longer needed, the viewing stand folds flat against the electronic device to maintain a narrow profile.

Abstract: A clip bar for supporting, fixing or stabilizing air hoses, water hoses, electrical cords, safety ropes, cables, etc. on a shingled or unshingled, pitched roof of a building or house. The clip bar has a substantially flat element with a pair of spaced, U-shaped spring clips attached thereto. One or more of the clip bars can be secured to the roof by a nail or nails and support, fix or stabilize hoses, cords, ropes and/or cables thereto, thus, preventing these elements and any attachments thereto from sliding down and off the roof as well as preventing them from interfering with workers or roofers working on the pitched or inclined roof.

Abstract: An apparatus for lifting and folding a sheet of material used as a window covering, having a headrail for attaching the apparatus adjacent to a window, a pair of spaced apart straps extending vertically from the headrail, a plurality of rods extending horizontally between the straps which are operative for affixing the sheet of material to the apparatus. The apparatus also includes a first plurality of clips for attaching the sheet of fabric material to the rods. Each of the clips is adapted for coupling the rods to the straps at a plurality of vertically spaced apart locations along the straps to provide a plurality of folds in the sheet of material. A second plurality of clips are also provided for attaching the sheet of material to the ends of the rods while the first plurality of clips are used for attaching the sheet of material at locations remote from the ends of said rods.

Abstract: A cover for the grill or box of a vehicle is supplied as a kit of parts including a fabric cover with a plurality of female snap fastener elements together with a plurality of first male snap fastener elements and a plurality of second male snap fastener elements. Each of the male snap fastener elements includes a flat rigid disc with a male portion standing upwardly from the disc for insertion into the female portion carried by the cover. The first male portions have an adhesive layer directly on an underside of the disc together with a covering layer which can be removed to apply the disc directly by adhesive to the vehicle surface at the suitable location. The second type of male fasteners includes a coupling member with a flexible sheet having a mushroom-shaped stud projecting from the sheet and coupling to the disc. The sheet carries an adhesive layer with a covering layer thereon.

Multiple frame elements 60 are secured together, such as through end joints 70. The frame elements 60 generally define an enclosure 80 or other structure which is to be enclosed by sheeting S. The sheeting S is then draped over the frame elements 60 until the sheeting S has the desired configuration overlying the frame elements 60. Clamps 10 are then utilized to secure the sheeting S to the frame elements 60. The clamps 10 are "C-shaped" in cross-section and are sized with an interior region 18 thereof similar to a diameter of a cylindrical surface 64 of the frame elements 60. The clamps 10 are sufficiently resilient that the clamps 10 can be flexed to allow the frame elements 60 to pass into and reside within the interior region 18 with the sheeting S interposed between the frame element 60 and the clamp 10.

Abstract: A one-piece elongated member which can be used in combination with a piece of upholstered furniture for stabilizing a slipcover to the furniture, is, or can be formed into a V-shaped structure that has a compressed position for being slid into a flexible crease of the furniture, and an expanded condition for being wedged in the crease. The member is wrapped with a portion of the slipcover. Once the member is wedged into the crease, it securely holds and stabilizes the slipcover in the crease so that it is not removed even with use of the upholstered furniture. The elongated member includes a pair of resilient wings, which are connected to each other at an elongated apex. Each wing has a width between the apex and an outer edge of the wing, which is small in comparison to the length of the member in a direction of elongation.

The runner has at least one projection (47) which engages in the sawtooth profile (48) in order to prevent the runner from being moved in a certain direction, while movement of the runner in the opposite direction is still possible. Abstract: A clamping mechanism for removably attaching a fabric to a foraminous element having generally a plank shape. A form-drain is a hollow, foraminous, plank-shaped conduit. The clamp of the invention is a semi-rigid strip of material such as polyvinylchloride. From the strip depend orthogonal projections which form, in a first model, a U-form of shallow definition; this is the "cap" model and is used to capture a fabric between it and the top surface of the form-drain. An alternate embodiment realizes the same strip with depending orthogonal studs (as projections). Projections of both embodiments include mechanisms to impede retrograde motion of the clamp once it is installed on the form-drain. In anticipation of changes to the form-drain, alternate models of the invention have been presented.

Abstract: In order to facilitate the fastening of a length of material to the cold-rolled profile tube (1) of a canvas-blind tube, the wall of said profile tube has formed therein an essentially tangentially extending first recess by folding the wall of said profile tube first inwards onto itself and by bending it then back into an L-shape, the long leg portion (9) extending in parallel spaced relationship with said double-folded wall and the shorter L-leg portion (10) extending towards the outer surface of said profile tube (1) and delimiting the opening of said first recess. Furthermore, a second, radially extending recess is provided subsequent to said shorter L-leg portion (10) by bending the wall inwards in a U-shape. These recesses have inserted therein a strip of plastic material comprising a tongue, which extends into the first recess, and a foot portion, which follows said tongue and which extends into the second recess (11), the length of canvas-blind material being placed round said tongue.

More particularly, a plurality of resilient, one-piece hold-down clamps are placed about the periphery of the light table to firmly hold portions of the fabric sheet to the table to minimize relative movement therebetween. The clamps include a lower bracket bent into a resilient arch. The clamps snap into place about the periphery of the light table such that the arch-like lower bracket cooperates with the peripheral frame channel.

Abstract: A cover gripping assembly for securing a flexible cover to a side member of a frame. A marginal edge portion of the cover is frictionally gripped between the inner surface of an elongated channel member having an inwardly facing C-shaped arcuate sector defining an elongated cavity, and the outer surface of an elongated rod when the latter is received in the cavity. The outer surface of the rod is generally congruent with the inner surface of the C-shaped arcuate sector. The frictional gripping force of the gripping assembly on the cover may be enhanced when tension on the cover is increased by providing the channel member with an outwardly facing C-shaped channel member for causing a body portion of the cover to be folded back relative to the marginal edge portion of the cover. The inner surface of the inward C-shaped arcuate sector or the outer surface of the rod, or both, may be provided with a plurality of longitudinally-extending ribs for frictionally engaging the cover.

Abstract: A screen enclosure apparatus, for use in screened windows, porches, doors and other screened-in builiding structures, capable of controllably breaking away upon excessive impact of resultant wind pressures on the frame of the apparatus. A frame structure having a channel running along the frame's length, serves to releasably or frangibly receive spline material which displaces or fractures at a predetermined resultant pressure. The spline serves to releasably secure a screen sheet, within the channel of the frame itself, so as to preclude damage which would otherwise occur not only to the screen sheet, but also to the supporting frame structures, when such high wind pressures are exerted thereon--to reduce the structural rigidity requirements for such frames.

Abstract: A fabric awning assembly, method of assembling the same from multiple sections of awning frames, and a novel divider bead for spanning the joint between adjacent sections of awning frames. Staple receiving channels in awning frame extrusions at the end of each section face like channels in adjacent sections so as to facilitate the use of only one divider bead between adjacent sections. The divider beads include protrusions for securing awning fabric within the channels and for protection from pooling moisture. The divider beads, when installed between adjacent sections of fabric awning frames, create the aesthetic impression that the adjacent sections are actually one continuous assembly.

A fastening apparatus for gripping web-like materials comprising a central member which is placed on one side of the web-like material; and, an outer member which corresponds generally in shape with the central member, is placed on the opposite side of the web-like material and fits over the central member and the web-like material, the central member and the outer member cooperating together to grip the web-like material.

Abstract: An improved pacifier holder is characterized by an ornamental member having an ornamental front surface with integral snap lock means connected with the rear surface thereof, and a snap ring removably connected with the snap lock assembly of the ornamental member, whereby when a piece of fabric such as an article of infant clothing is arranged between the ornamental member and the snap ring, the ornamental member is connected with the fabric. A cloth strap is connected at one end with the ornamental member and a fastening mechanism such as a VELCRO-type fastener is connected with the other end of the strap for receiving and connecting a pacifier therewith.

Abstract: A track structure for retaining the liner of a liner type in-ground swimming pool is comprised of two component parts including an elongated length of a channel-like body section adapted to be secured about the perimeter of a liner-type pool and a channel-like insert adapted to be removably disposed within the body section. Both components are formed of polymeric plastic composition and both are configured at least partially complementary, so as to enable the insert to effect a snap-in interfit for securing the insert within the body. The insert when disposed within the body cooperates with an internal body surface wall to define a narrow clearance through which the liner can extend while securing the beaded edge of the liner against withdrawal. When the body and insert are assembled, a single exposed channel is provided, enabling a form board to be positioned thereat for the pouring and setting of aggregate deciking about the pool.

Abstract: An anchoring system for securing an elastomeric membrane to the upper surface of a roof has a rigid anchoring plate which has a planar bottom surface, apertures to facilitate securing the anchoring plate to the roof, and a pair of raised reinforced sidewalls to aid in interlocking the device. A spacing insert is provided which employs a pair of flanges, a pair of horizontal lips, and a central hinge to snap into the anchoring plate after the membrane has been laid out over the anchoring plates. A planar wedge is also provided which includes a lip to facilitate inserting the wedge into, and withdrawing the wedge from, the spacing insert. A special fastening device is provided to secure the anchoring system to the roof surface. When the components of the present anchoring system are fitted together, an elastomeric membrane may be substantially immobilized. The structure of the device is also easily disassembleable, as may become necessary in order to inspect or service the elastomeric membrane.

Abstract: A reusable factory fixture frame is disclosed for use in the manufacture of a color cathode ray tube having a flat faceplate and a tensed foil shadow mask. The frame provides for mounting an in-process shadow mask during photoexposure of an in-process faceplate in a lighthouse. The frame includes a generally rectangular frame structure having grooves thereabout for receiving an edge of the shadow mask. Quick-release mechanical spring clips are provided for temporarily and removably supporting the in-process shadow mask in tension in the grooves. The shadow mask is heated and allowed to expand prior to being temporarily and removably supported on the frame, and the shadow mask is allowed to cool and shrink in tension while so being supported to effect tensing of the shadow mask in clamped condition on the frame.

The slide channel member easily fits to a multi-facet surface.

The frame provides for mounting an in-process shadow mask during photoexposure of an in-process faceplate in a lighthouse. The frame includes a generally rectangular frame structure having grooves thereabout for receiving an edge of the shadow mask. At least one elongatge rod-like member extending lengthwise of and complementarily mating with the grooves temporarily and removably support an in-process shadow mask in tension. The shadow mask is heated and allowed to expand prior to being temporarily and removably supported on the frame, and the shadow mask is allowed to cool and shrink in tension while so being supported to effect tensing of the shadow mask in clamped condition on the frame.

Abstract: An upholstery system for a vehicle accessory includes a substrate with a U-shaped channel adjacent an edge and including alternately staggered apertures and slots in its floor. A trim member with alternately staggered pins and locking tabs compressibly holds an edge of upholstery material in the channel with the pins extending through the material and into the apertures and the tabs lockably holding the trim member by fitting into the slots.

Abstract: An improved fluidizable patient support system including an oval tank, a perforated plate received in the tank atop a plurality of spacers, a diffuser board located atop the perforated plate and sealed around its edge, a mass of granular material received atop the diffuser board, a flexible sheet removably secured around upper edges of the tank by snap fitting elements, a wheeled support pedestal for the tank which has a fluid pressure generator therewithin. Pivotal steps and side rails may be associated with the pedestal and tank respectively. A support frame may also be secured to the tank, extending thereabove to receive treatment apparatus.

Abstract: An improved bed skirt assembly including a plurality of laterally spaced apart brackets coupled to the bottom of a box spring frame of a bed. The assembly also including rods placed into and supported by the brackets to accommodate prepared yard good material having a casing at the top end. The yard good material is shirred to enable the user to create a ruffled bed skirt using a minimum of sewing effort and without removal of the mattress from the bed during installing and removing of the yard good material.

Abstract: An anchoring system for securing an elastomeric membrane to the upper surface of a roof has a rigid anchoring plate which has a planar bottom surface, apertures to facilitate securing the anchoring plate to the roof, and a pair of raised reinforced sidewalls to aid in interlocking the device. A spacing insert is provided which employs a pair of flanges, a pair of horizontal lips, and a central hinge to snap into the anchoring plate after the membrane has been load out over the anchoring plates. A planar wedge is also provided which includes a lip to facilitate inserting the wedge into, and withdrawing the wedge from, the spacing insert. When the components of the present anchoring system are fitted together, an elastomeric membrane may be substantially immobilized. The structure of the device is also easily disassemblable, as may become necessary in order to inspect or service the elastomeric membrane.

Abstract: A sheet gripping assembly for thin pliable sheet material, such as plastic film, having a channel shaped base member with a side opening through which may be inserted a fold of the sheet material to be secured, and innerlock and gripping bar members insertable into the base member through its side opening to assembled positions within the fold of sheet material within the base member wherein the sheet material is gripped between the base member and the innerlock and gripping bar members and the innerlock member resists expulsion of the gripping bar member from the base member by tension in the sheet material being gripped. According to an important feature of the invention, the innerlock member has a lip which projects externally of the base member through its side opening and the innerlock member is laterally flexible by finger pressure on the lip to facilitate insertion of the innerlock member into and removal of the innerlock member from the base member.

Abstract: A reusable factory fixture frame is disclosed for use in the manufacture of a color cathode ray tube having a flat faceplate and a tensed foil shadow mask. The frame provides for mounting an in-process shadow mask during photoexposure of an in-process faceplate in a lighthouse. The frame includes a generally rectangular frame structure having grooves thereabout for receiving an edge of the shadow mask. Spring-loaded mechanical mask-retaining devices are secured to the side of the factory fixture frame for temporarily and removably supporting the in-process shadow mask in tension in the grooves. The shadow mask is heated and allowed to expand prior to being temporarily and removably supported on the frame, and the shadow mask is allowed to cool and shrink in tension while so being supported to effect tensing of the shadow mask in clamped condition on the frame.

Abstract: A folding top for a passenger car comprises a folding top linkage having a main bow disposed at the body, lateral side members and a toggle joint system. Each side member is pivoted at the main bow via a roof frame control arm and an angle lever. So that the folding top, in the driving operation, in its folded-back open position, is securely held open, a releasable arresting device is provided for fixing the folding top.

Abstract: An improved track and spline or clip member defining a mechanical fastening system for attaching sheet or cover material to the track in a positive manner, wherein the track includes a channel having an improved configuration comprising a base member with a central V-shaped bottom wall surface fluted at the outer edges thereof, inclined inner side wall surfaces, a dual durometer plastic insert clip or spline having a central semi-rigid body member, and integrally formed outer rigid wing members arranged to be inserted in the channel for locking engagement therein with the sheet material being interposed between the track cahnnel and the spline.

Abstract: An upholstery system for a vehicle accessory includes a substrate with a U-shaped channel adjacent an edge and including alternately staggered apertures and slots in its floor. A trim member with alternately staggered pins and locking tabs compressibly holds an edge of upholstery material in the channel with the pins extending through the material and into the apertures and the tabs lockably holding the trim member by fitting into the slots.

Abstract: A bag with an openable mouth carries a reclosable extruded plastic zipper inside the mouth. The zipper has complementary profiles separably interlockable in a closed condition of the zipper. A gasket flange structure in separably sealingly grippingly interengageable by and between the profiles in the closed condition of the zipper, and may also serve as a tamper evident or tamper discouraging device.
