    Abstract: A flexible connection and release device which allows quick release while under load. The device comprises a first link; a second link; a first sling having one end attached to the first link; a second sling having one end attached to the second link; a tab attached to the first sling; a grommet contained in the tab; a curved length of a first flexible cable connected between two fixed points in the first sling on either side of the tab; a second flexible cable; and a pin or a third flexible cable. The links are connected together with multiple turns of the second flexible cable which forms a loop at its center. The curved length of the first flexible cable is passed through the loop in the second flexible cable and through the grommet so that a part of the first flexible cable protrudes from the grommet. The pin or third cable is passed through the protruding part of the first flexible cable to lock the first flexible cable in place.

    Abstract: A releasing device for easy, quick and simultaneous disengaging of fasteners on garments that employ hook and loop fasteners. It is comprised of a releasing member affixed to an end portion of a side bra strap and is suitable for bras which have one or more hook and loop fasteners. The releasing member has a tab-like shape and a substantially rigid body with a handle element at one end and is of sufficient size and shape for use by hand. An axis of rotation is created along an edge of the releasing member by being affixed to the bra strap. Simultaneous releasing of the hooks from their mating loops is achieved by rotating the releasing member about its axis of rotation.

In a second embodiment a slot is formed in the closed end and is dimensioned to receive only the safety buckle tongue of the healthcare safety strap, and is designed to be used in the absence of shoulder straps.

The upper leg of the pivoting release lever and an exterior surface of the yoke assembly plate can be mateably restrained through a pair of interlocking notches.

    Abstract: A fastener system mounts a pouch onto a shirt or other clothing article, wherein the pouch provides a receptacle aperture into which a fastener is placed with its flanges positioned on opposing sides of the aperture. The cloth to which the fastener is mounted is gripped between the fastener and the aperture and is locked into place by a U-shaped clip. The flanges are made oblong in shape so that the narrow orientation of the flanges easily pass through the aperture, but the longer orientation cannot. Flats may be applied to both aperture and the fastener so as to assure an orientation in use wherein the fastener cannot disengage from the pouch.
