One or more magnets are positioned within the substantially hollow receptacle area(s) of the wearable housing. The magnet(s) have sufficient holding force to securely hold a handgun or other item against the wearable housing for ready access.

Abstract: A connection arrangement for use with a wearable body harness has a first connector with a first fixed buckle configured to connect to a first portion of a first shoulder strap of the harness, and a first adjustable buckle configured to connect to a second portion of the first shoulder strap. The connection arrangement further has a second connector removably connectable to the first connector. The second connector has a second fixed buckle configured to connect to a first portion of a second shoulder strap of the harness, and a second adjustable buckle configured to connect to a second portion of the second shoulder strap. Each of the first adjustable buckle and the second adjustable buckle has an adjustment mechanism configured for adjusting a length of the second portion of the first and second shoulder straps by selective frictional engagement with the second portion of the first and second shoulder straps.

Abstract: A multi-point buckle has a buckle, at least two latches and a plurality of dust jackets. The buckle has a plurality of tongue slots on a peripheral edge. Each of the latches has at least two tongues, and each tongue is capable of being inserted into one of the tongue slots of the buckle for locking. Each dust jacket has a through slot through two opposite ends for accepting one of the tongues. One of the two opposite ends of the dust jacket is a first abutting end, the first abutting end abutting an edge of the buckle when the one of the tongues and a corresponding tongue slot are locked together, and the first abutting end has a loop lip around an opening of the through slot for filling in between the tongue and the tongue slot and prevent dust from entering.

Abstract: An electronic device mount includes a first portion having an interlocking portion, a pressure plate, and a biasing member and a second portion having an attachment region. Where, in use, the biasing member applies force to the pressure plate inhibiting unintentional rotation of the second portion of the electronic device mount relative to the first portion. The electronic device mount can be incorporated within or attached to a protective case of an electronic device or any other object to be mounted that includes a suitable attachment region.

Abstract: A child carrier restraint that allows the upper ends of the shoulder straps to be adjustably positioned to properly secure children having varying torso lengths within the child carrier. The child restraint includes a traditional five point belt harness and pair of shoulder belt location adjusters, which allows the shoulder strap to be selectively positioned over and behind the child regardless of the length of the child's torso. The shoulder location adjusters are mounted to the back of the child carrier and includes a strap loop trained about a locking slide and a bottom strap loop anchor. The end of the shoulder strap is sewn directly to the strap loop. The locking slide can be manually disengaged to allow the strap loop to slide freely, thereby selectively positioning the end of the shoulder strap along the back of the child carrier.

Abstract: A safety device provides a warning to drivers of a “child” left in a car seat. When a child is secured in a car seat a safety lanyard or safety garment with appropriate warning signs should be worn by the vehicle driver. When the driver reaches the destination, the driver will remove the child from the seat and place the safety device therein. In the event that the driver forgets the child in the car seat, the presence of the safety lanyard on the driver will serve to alert others of the child in the vehicle. The safety lanyard is attached to a safety insert that is inserted into the child car seat buckle that prevents the standard sliding buckle tabs from being inserted into the child car seat buckle. The safety insert must be removed prior to the child being bucked into the seat.

The indicator moves in the case between a first position in which the visual symbol is not visible, for loose belts, and a second position in which the visual symbol is visible, for correctly tensioned belts. First springs urge the indicator towards the first position. A locking element in the case connects to an end of the lower belt. Second springs between the case and the locking element are resiliently deformed from tension on the lower belt. The locking element cooperates with the indicator so that when the indicator is in the second position, it is locked.

Each of the plugs has, in between the arms, a resilient tongue that can be inserted into the socket. The socket has a hole for receiving the release button, and has resilient legs at the bottom thereof so that the release button may maintain in position. The release button includes cavities at both sides thereof for receiving the arms. The release button further includes inclined surfaces corresponding to the resilient tongue between the cavities. When the release button is pressed, the inclined surfaces will exert a force on the resilient tongue to eject the plug from the socket.

Abstract: A seat belt improvement providing seat belt buckling assistance and automatic release of the seat belt. The seat belt assembly includes an electromagnet located in the seat belt buckle that aligns and draws the seat belt tongue into the seat belt buckle when the seat belt tongue is in close proximity to the seat belt buckle. The buckle may be formed with a funnel region adjacent its open end to assist in aligning the seat belt tongue with the opening of the housing and thereafter engaging the seat belt tongue with the latch mechanism. The buckle may additionally include a manual release element. The buckle may further include one or more illuminated areas to assist the passenger in visually locating the seat belt buckle and/or the manual release element.

Abstract: A tactical quick release seatbelt mechanism that attaches as an after-market enhancement to a pre-existing factory installed seatbelt. The tactical quick release seatbelt mechanism expedites exit from a factory-installed 3-point seatbelt, particularly in an emergency situation. The tactical quick release allows tactical users such as law enforcement, military personnel, drug enforcement personnel, Homeland Security personnel, etc. to exit a vehicle quickly, without delay or snag of tactical equipment (e.g., weapons, communications backpack, etc.) on the 3-point seatbelt, and without the need to take their eye of a given target by looking down for the seatbelt release button.

Abstract: There is provided an improved tab member for a closure system comprising a tab portion and a slot member. The slot member includes a slit or a loop, with the slot located between an inboard portion and an outboard portion. The tab portion has a tab member having a length, an inner edge, an outer edge and at least one lip portion. The tab member outer edge is passed through the slot of the slot member to engage the fastening device. Once passed through the slot, at least one lip portion of the tab member overlaps or catches the outboard portion of the slot member to prevent the tab member from disengaging from the slot member. The slot member outward portion is retained between the lip portion(s) and the underlying generally flexible tab carrier substrate.
