Abstract: An adjustable orthostatic intolerance garment formed of a knitted spandex powernet construction in order to provide compression when on the leg, and including legs and a torso portion that extends upwardly into the abdominal area below the pectoral muscles; and a respective pair of elongate panels that are retained in place by attaching elements, and that are introduced into or removed from the garment to increase or reduce compression on the wearer's body as desired.

Abstract: A bra, a garment, an article of clothing, and a fastener for such items. A bra includes: two cups located at a front-side of the bra; and a fastener located at a back-side of the bra. The back-side of the bra has a first region and a second region. The fastener enables (A) attachment of the first region to the second region, and (B) detachment of the first region from the second region. The fastener includes: (I) a male member located in the first region of the back-side of the bra, and (II) a female member located in the second region of the back-side of the bra. The male member includes a single wide hook. The female member includes a set of multiple spaced-apart wide bridges, each bridge protruding outwardly and generally-perpendicularly relative to the second region of the back-side of the bra. Each bridge is generally perpendicular to the longest dimension of the back-side of the bra.

Abstract: In the case of a closure for connecting two straps of an item of clothing, in particular the wing end portions of the back band of a bra, on one of which is arranged an overall female closure part, there is provided a plurality of female closure elements that form at least one row, and on the other of which is arranged an overall male closure part, which includes at least two male closure elements that can be moved into force-fitting/form-fitting engagement with female closure elements from one row of the female closure part. The closure elements are arranged in each case on a preferably textile base strip, which is rectangular in basic form, acts as a carrier and serves for fastening the respective closure parts on their associated band wing ends, which overlap in their end regions in the closed configuration.

Abstract: A quick-release buckle for a shoulder strap and preventing unintentional release when tension exerted by the shoulder strap. The buckle includes a socket member, a plug member, and a locking member. The plug member has the shoulder strap connected thereto, and is replaceably engaged with the socket member. The locking member is an operative part of the socket member. The plug member replaceably engages in the locking member in such a manner so to be released therefrom, the locking member is released and the plug member has to be pulled in a direction opposite to that in which tension from the shoulder strap is exerted so as to prevent the unintentional release of the quick-release buckle when the tension is exerted by shoulder strap, while the tension exerted by the shoulder strap when the plug member is engaged in the locking member assures unintentional release of the quick-release buckle.

Abstract: A brassiere closure has a pair of closure parts each having an eye with inner and outer parallel longitudinal webs. A separation plane passes through both of the webs and the slot, and a transverse central plane perpendicular to the separation plane passing centrally through the slot and both of the webs. A bridge extend transversely from the inner web has a planar floor face lying on the separation plane and is formed offset along the separation plane from the transverse plane with a throughgoing latch opening. A hook carried on the bridge spaced has an edge formed of sections directed toward and forming a V-shaped opening with the edge of the bridge. An outer edge of the hook carries a pin engageable in the closed position through a latch opening of the bridge of the other closure part.

Abstract: The buckle is constructed to include a male buckle member and a female buckle member for joining two. The male buckle member includes a hook block at the front bottom side, and the female buckle member includes an opening adapted to receive the hook block of the male buckle member and a springy support suspending in the opening and adapted to push the hook block forwards into engagement with a part of the female buckle member when the user releases the female buckle member after the hook block has been inserted into the opening by force to push the springy support backwards.

Abstract: A fastener for securing brassiere straps includes a hooking component attached to one of the straps and a linking component attached to the other strap. The hooking component has a substantially rigid body, with a fulcrum element at one end, a handle element at the other end, and a hook element therebetween. Elevating the body promotes disengagement of the hook and link elements, and thereby mutual release of the brassiere straps.
