Abstract: A metallic watch strap, including a first metallic strap half and a second metallic strap half. The first metallic strap half extending along a longitudinal direction and having an upper side and a lower side. The second metallic strap half having a folding clasp with a first fastening structure equipped to be fastened to the first strap half and with a second fastening structure equipped to be fastened to the second strap half. The first fastening structure has a slide, which, in a first state, is displaceable relative to the first strap half in a guided manner, and including a fixation element, which, in a second state, abuts on the first strap half. The first strap half has fixation indentations and the fixation element has at least one fixation projection fitting into the fixation indentations. In the second state, the fixation projection engages into one of the fixation indentations.

Abstract: A ratchet belt system includes a belt having a notch strip extending along a portion of the length thereof. The notch strip is formed of a plurality of adjacent notches, each being configured to engage a ratcheting tab of an associated buckle. In an embodiment, the tab is coupled to a release lever that is oriented toward a receptacle portion of the buckle for ergonomically improving the release mechanics and preventing accidental release of the engaged tab a user is leaned forward in a seated position. In another embodiment the belt includes a first notch strip about a first surface of the belt and a second notch strip about a second surface of the belt opposite of the first surface, thereby providing a reversible ratcheting belt. Other improvements include accessories configured to engage with the ratchet belt system for display and storage thereof.

Abstract: An interchangeable and detachable flange for a connector is described. A flange with a circular opening can be secured to an electrical or other type of connector by a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism is engaged and disengaged by twisting the flange around the connector. The locking mechanism may consist of a tongue that slides into a slot when the flange is twisted around the connector, and may further consist of a raised knob that fits into a recess for the raised knob.

Abstract: A mountable cable tie with fine adjustment with an elongated strap having a first strap end and a second strap end, the elongated strap having one or more rows of teeth or cross-bars formed crosswise on the elongated strap, and a plurality of holes positioned linear along the median between the one or more rows of teeth, at least one locking buckle positioned proximate the second strap end, the at least one locking buckle having at least one channel and at least one locking tang or pawl positioned within the locking buckle, wherein increased insertion of the first strap end into the locking head decreases the size of the loop of the elongated strap to secure the bundle.

Abstract: The present invention provides a chain hook which reduces the risk of disengagement of one or more chains connected thereto. The chain hook comprises an elongate body, a first hook at a first end of the elongate body for connection to a load and a second hook at a second end of the elongate body for connection to at least one chain, wherein the first and second hooks are in different planes.

Abstract: A safety connector assembly for a lanyard having a first end portion and a second end portion includes a first connecting portion and a second connecting portion. The first connecting portion included a first surface, a second surface, an accommodating space, and a ring protrusion. The first surface is connected to the first end portion. The accommodating space is on the second surface. The ring protrusion extends from the accommodating space. The second connecting portion includes a third surface, a fourth surface, and a protruding portion. The third surface is connected to the second end portion. The protruding portion includes a protrusion and extends from the fourth surface. The protrusion is spaced apart from the fourth surface to form a space therebetween. When the first connecting portion interconnects with the second connecting portion, the protruding portion extends into the accommodating space and the ring protrusion abuts against the protrusion.

Abstract: A button replacement and reinforcement system which provides a quick and simple alternative to sewing a button into place. This system is versatile in that it can be used on buttons with one or up to four holes. It provides a secure attachment or reinforcement to button placement, and is also able to add buttons as an embellishment to a variety of materials, including materials. It is quick and simple to use, and hold buttons securely in place without the need for a needle or thread.

Abstract: A glove closure system having an opening dividing the glove into a lateral portion (thumb side) and a medial portion (pinky side). The opening allows for easy access of the user's hand. The system consists of a rectangular or oval flap attached to the lateral portion and pulled over the access opening. A push button is mounted on the flap and movably connected to a slide bar attached to the medial portion. The slide bar includes a notched surface for engaging and stationing the button at any point along the bar. The button includes a release tab which when depressed allows the button to move along the slide bar therein allowing for the closure to either be tightened or loosened. The further the button moves toward the lateral portion the tighter the closure. When the button is engaged and locked, a simple press on the release tab disengages to allow the glove to be opened.

Abstract: A fastener that consists of two components that snap into engagement with one another and that can be used to hold two or more pieces of material together. Each identical part includes a hole or opening running through it that allows for the parts to be disconnected or disengaged from one another. Thus, the fastener can be reused by re-engaging the multiple parts.

A male-side grooved surface is provided on a male snap radially outward from a projection of the snap with a plurality of grooves formed so that peaks and troughs of the grooves are arranged continuously in the circumferential direction. A female-side grooved surface similar to the male-side grooved surface is provided on a female snap radially outward from a projection-receiving space of the snap. The female-side grooved surface is inclined relative to the male-side grooved surface. When the male snap is removed from the female snap, each axis of the male snap and the female snap, which are yet in a coupled state, inclines relative to each other, causing the male-side grooved surface and the female-side grooved surface to partially engage with each other.

Abstract: A coupler system for connecting elongate, horizontally disposed rods to vertical supports includes a top-cap component for attaching to the top of a vertical support, and including a body with plural cavities formed therein, and at least one ball-cap component for attaching to an end of a rod, and including a ball region that is constructed to fit within one of the plural cavities of the top-cap component. The body may be formed with four of the plural cavities, with each of them having beveled edges. The ball-cap components may include a ball region, a neck region, and an angled region located adjacent the neck region and away from the ball region. The top-cap and ball-cap components may include insertion regions with opposing sets of ribs. The coupler system may further include a cover component, and the body may be formed with a central hole for receiving a fastener that secures the cover component to the top-cap component.

Abstract: A snap ring for coupling a purse line to a purse seine includes a frame, a plurality of rollers, a frame opening, and a locking unit. The frame is connected to the purse seine. The purse line passes through a second end of the frame. The rollers are rotatably provided in the frame at positions at which the purse line is brought into contact with the frame. The frame opening is formed in one side part of opposite side parts of the frame to open the frame. The locking unit is coupled to the frame to openably close the frame opening. The locking unit includes a first cylinder which is hinged at a first end thereof to the part of the frame which corresponds to a first end of the frame opening.

Abstract: A reclosable locking tape for releasably attaching a fabric add-on to a foundation includes: (a) a substantially planar tape base to which is affixed at least one male locking portion that is generally mushroom-shaped and includes a stem affixed to a cap; and (b) at least one female locking portion affixed to the tape base, the female locking portion including two same-sized hook members on opposite sides of a male portion-sized space in the female portion. Also included are a reclosable rib and groove tape assembly that includes: (a) a fabric add-on including at least one longitudinally extending rib or groove on a substantially planar and flexible portion backing; and (b) a separate foundation attachment portion including at least one rib or groove on a substantially planar portion backing, the rib or groove of the foundation attachment portion corresponding to the rib or groove of the add-on attachment portion, and a related method.

Abstract: A subsea connector comprises a female element (1) defining a parallel bore (2) adapted to receive a male element (3). First releasable locking means are disposed between elements (2) and (3) and comprise a sprung cage (6) in which balls (5) are retained for movement in tapered grooves circumferentially spaced around element (3). As the cage moves relative to element (3) balls (5) protrude from the cage to a greater or lesser extent to lock the elements together. Second locking means prevent relative movement between elements (1) and (3) in a locking release direction of the first releasable locking means. These second locking means comprise lock balls retained in an apertured body disposed between elements (1) and (2).

Abstract: An adjustable fastener such as one suitable for use in securing straps in a variety of orthotic and other types of devices. The fastener has a male portion and a female portion that are each attached to a strap or other desired location on the device with which the fastener is used. The male portion has an elongated tab and the female portion has a housing and a passage through the housing. The passage allows the elongated tab to slide through the housing in the female portion. An engagement finger in the housing is resiliently biased to engage one or more teeth along an edge of the elongated tab to prevent the elongated tab from sliding further out of the passage. The finger can be selectively disengaged from the teeth to allow the elongated tab to slide further or completely out of the housing.

Abstract: A flexible tie strap includes an elongated narrow web with a fastener joined at one end. One surface of the web is equipped with a plurality of spaced apart ratchet teeth. The fastener includes an aperture to receive the free end of the web and a tongue with a pawl. The pawl is positioned to engage the web teeth to prevent withdrawal of the web through the fastener. A release tab and an anchor tab are joined to the fastener in spaced relation to each other for flexing the fastener to disengage the pawl from the teeth and release the strap from the fastener. The web of the strap may include a series of spaced apart holes to permit attachment of other devices to the strap.

Abstract: A hook is capable of hooking a chain at a desired length. The hook comprises a hook body, and a buckle above the hook body. The buckle has a U shape opening. Width of the shape opening is confined by the size of a chain to be hung. The buckle, has a penetrating groove which penetrates two inner sides of the buckle and one outer side of the buckle. A spring and a movable shaft pass through the penetrating groove. The movable shaft is positioned by a pin so that the spring is compressed by the movable shaft and the movable shaft will not drop out of the buckle. A notch is formed at a predetermined portion of the movable shaft. A semi-round groove is formed at a coupling portion of the buckle and the notch, and the semi-round groove is positioned across the two inner sides of the buckle.
