Abstract: A pressure-release clamping assembly for an anchor assembly that includes clamping body defining a lower opening, having a pin coupled thereto and configured to restrict ambient access to the lower opening, defining an upper opening, having a clamping member translatably coupled to the clamping body, and having a pressure-release latch configured to lockedly couple with the clamping member and with a latch spring operably configured to bias the pressure-release latch toward the clamping member. The clamping member is operably configured to rotate and have a locked and an upper opening enclosing position with the clamping member retained in the locked position with the pressure-release latch, wherein the clamping member is configured to disengage with the pressure-release latch upon receiving at least a 100 lbf oriented with a longitudinal axis of the pressure-release latch and a released position with the clamping member at least partially removed from the clamping body.

The bolt includes a rod body, a middle of the rod body is rotatablely connected with a main hook, and an upper surface of a front end of the main hook is symmetrically provided with positioning blocks; a left end of the rod body is rotatablely connected with a secondary hook, the positioning blocks are detachably inserted with a slot at a front of the secondary hook respectively, and a right end of the bolt is threaded with a nut. The reinforcing assembly includes a rotating shaft and a positioning seat, the rotating shaft is disposed in a middle of the main hook. The reinforcing assembly further includes posts. The split trailer shackle is easy to open and thus can quickly sling, meanwhile it also can be closed for lock, and the use of high security.

Abstract: A non-frangible load release assembly having a pre-set tension for release is presented. The load release assembly comprises a snap shackle having a quick release and a link, a spring having a spring rate, and an actuating line with a length selected based on the spring rate to provide the pre-set tension for the load release assembly. The spring is attached to the link of the snap shackle. The actuating line is connected to the quick release of the snap shackle.

Abstract: A tie down strap assembly includes a strap and first and second hook assemblies disposed at respective opposing ends of the strap. The strap is formed of an elastic material. The strap defines a plurality of bores arranged along a length of the strap. Each of the first and second hook assemblies includes an engaging portion and a hook portion extending from the engaging portion. The engaging portion includes first and second sides. The engaging portion defines an opening extending through the first and second sides. The first side includes a mouth defining an aperture to receive a portion of the strap therethrough. The second side includes a boss configured to securely engage one bore of the plurality of bores of the strap. The hook portion is detachably couplable to the engaging portion of the other one of the first and second hook assemblies to interlock the first and second hook assemblies together.

The carabiner includes a loop including a gate movable to pass objects to the interior of the loop, and a mounting enabling connection of the carabiner to an environmental object while maintaining orientation of the loop relative to the environmental object. The mounting locks the loop in different orientations relative to the environmental object. The mounting may include a plurality of sockets for receiving rods, and a setscrew to lock a rod within the socket.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a fiber optic retention device to properly accommodate for cable management arrangements and schemes in telecommunication infrastructures that are massive in scale and/or require subsequent adaptation of the infrastructures. One embodiment includes a C-shaped opening with a door that snap mounts to the body with two snaps and pivot posts. One embodiment includes a C-shaped opening with a door that snap mounts to the body and is retained by a living hinge on an opposite end. One embodiment includes a C-shaped opening with flexible fingers that retain the cables within the opening. One embodiment includes a C-shaped opening with a door which moves parallel to a front opening. The door includes an angled surface to allow cables pressed onto the angled surface to move the door against a biasing member.

Abstract: Aspects of the invention are directed to an apparatus that may be used as a chain tensioner. The apparatus comprises a release handle, which is limited in motion by an elongate member that rides in a shaped guide slot. As a result of this configuration, two distinct forces must be applied to the release handle before a chain is released from the apparatus. Such a configuration reduces the chances of inadvertent releases of a chain.

Abstract: A buckle system is provided having a mounting bracket and a mounting clip. The mounting bracket includes a bracket body, a slot and a groove and has a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, with the slot and the groove formed in the bracket body. The mounting clip includes a clip body, a latching mechanism and a tongue. The clip body is connected to the latching mechanism by the tongue, which is slid into the groove formed in the bracket body of the mounting bracket such that the latching mechanism is adjacent the first surface of the bracket body and the clip body is adjacent the second surface of the bracket body. A hook of the latching mechanism is received by the slot formed in the bracket body once the tongue of the mounting clip is slideably received into the groove of the mounting bracket.

Abstract: The current disclosure discloses certain embodiments of a key holder assembly. A key holder assembly may include one or more key holders of different shapes or sizes attached to one another. A secure locking mechanism for the carabineer was invented to prevent it from accidentally opening. Each key holder assembly forms a tree structure through the fastening mechanisms and the attachment mechanism of key holders. The tree structure can be dynamically configured to reflect the relationship of the keys. Keys are attached to the tree structure which facilitates the organization of the keys. The current invention helps owners or managers of one or more residential or commercial properties to better organize keys to their properties by mapping the relationship of the keys to a tree structure and storing the keys accordingly.

Abstract: A hook-pulley combination includes a hook, a latch and a pulley assembly. The hook includes an intermediate portion extending between two arched portions. The first arched portion is formed with two supporting portions. There is a gap between an end of the first arched portion and an end of the second arched portion. The latch includes an end pivotally connected to the end of the first arched portion and another end for engagement with the end of the second arched portion to close the gap. The pulley assembly includes an axle supported on the supporting portions and a pulley supported on the axle.

Abstract: A safety hook includes a main body defining an inner space and an opening, a latch unit pivoted to the main body, an operable unit pivoted to the main body, and a safety lock unit. The latch unit is normally at a closed position for blocking the opening. When the operable unit is pressed, the safety lock unit is co-rotatable with the operable unit with respect to the main body from a locked position, where the safety lock unit abuts against the latch unit to retain the latch unit at the closed position, to an unlocked position, where the safety lock unit is removed from the latch unit to allow the latch unit to rotate from the closed position to an opened position allowing access into the inner space through the opening.

Abstract: A plunger pin schackle locking apparatus that prevents accidental release of the snap shackle under heavy flogging during windy conditions or snagging. Two “at-rest” states or positions are provided. This first one prevents significant translation of the plunger pin such that apparatus remains closed and locked. The second one allows free translation of the plunger pin over a range sufficient to release the latch. The locking mechanism does not significantly change the overall configuration, size and relative dimensions of a similarly rated but non-locking equivalent plunger pin snap shackle to allow for interchangeability.

Abstract: A wearable lightweight fire fighter's personal escape system and method includes a rope, having a distal and proximal end, organized in parallel segments disposed in an inner pouch. The inner pouch is entirely contained in an outer pouch that is appointed to be removably attached to a belt or harness, worn by a fire fighter. The proximal end of the rope exits through an opening in the inner pouch and outer pouch and is attached directly to a lightweight hook, or optionally enters a belay device. The hook has a sharp point for creating a purchase point on soft surfaces, a hook opening having sufficient diameter to surround radiators, steam pipe and the like, and capture rope that surrounds substantial objects. The hook has a central opening appointed for holding a firefighting tool to aid in creating a substantial object. The fire fighter escapes by creating a purchase point and repelling at a high speed or at a controlled speed by adjusting belay friction.

Abstract: An apparatus for flexibly restraining service loops in an oil derrick to prevent entangling of the loops, comprising a plurality of identical apparatus wherein each apparatus is positioned at different longitudinal level to restrain the service loops. Each apparatus is comprised of a plurality of interlocking units, wherein each unit is comprised of a central steel ring which is adhesively bonded to a braid of a service loop penetrating therethrough and exteriorly affixed to first and second interconnecting rings. A first flexible cable and second flexible cable connect the respective first and second interconnecting rings of the units of each apparatus. Therefore, the service loops are flexibly restrained to have a uniform path and bend radius when they travel longitudinally during operation of an oil well drilling machine, which results in reduction of damage of the service loops.

Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosed technology include a device and method for training children to walk near their parents and encouraging children to do same. A carabiner is connected to a first strap, such as a wrist strap, as well as one or a plurality of handle straps. Each handle strap comprises, or is operatively connected to, a respective handle. The handle strap is removably engaged with the carabiner. That is, handle straps may be added or removed at will to change the number of straps attached to the carabiner or other connecting mechanism. In this manner, a parent may hold onto one strap (or attach such a strap to another device such as a stroller or backpack and instruct a plurality of children to walk with him or her.

Methods include preventing a carabiner from opening.

Abstract: A carabiner has a C-shaped body. At one end of the body, a gate is pivotally mounted and is spring loaded to a closed position. A trigger is attached at the middle of the body with a hook in it, and is also spring loaded to a closed position against the side of the body. When prepared, the trigger will hold the gate open in ready position for easy access. When hit, the trigger will release the gate, springing the gate back to its closed positions. The trigger will also spring back to its closed position, out of the way of the rope moving inside of the carabiner body.

Abstract: Swivel hook units are usable to position a fabric cover, such as a swimming pool cover. A base portion of unitary construction can be attached to a fabric cover via a strap sewn to the cover. A hook member is attached to the base portion via a fastener device which permits rotational displacement of the hook member to accommodate adjustment during installation. A single rivet-type fastener device may be employed. A swivel hook unit may have a flat bottom for placement against a fabric cover without protrusions which would facilitate abrasion of the cover fabric during use. A flexible member to restrain the hook member from unintended disconnection from an eyebolt may include an end section contour configuration to resist lateral displacement of the flexible member relative to the hook member.

Abstract: An improved becket structure is provided. The becket contains a first adjustable hook member and a second adjustable hook member, both of which can be opened and closed by a mechanism. As such, it is very convenient for a user to replace a cable connected to either one of the adjustable hook members. Abstract: A cable lock coupling is part of a surfboard locking system. The coupling includes a housing, a pin, a ring and jaws. The pin is slidably fitted in the housing and is movable between a first position and a second position. The ring is coupled to a first end of the pin, is sized/shaped to slidably fit only in a first portion of the housing, and is able to receive a cable lock's cable therethrough when it substantially protrudes from the housing when the pin is in the first position. The jaws, coupled to a second end of the pin, are free to open when the pin is in the second position, and are forced to close when the pin is in the first position. The cable portion of a cable lock is passed through the ring protruding from the housing when the pin is in the first position.

Abstract: A safety hook that includes a body having a hook portion and a shank portion, a gate that is pivotally mounted from a gate pivot point on the shank portion, and a locking element that is pivotally supported from the shank. The safety hook also includes a peninsular portion that extends between the locking element and the and the heel portion of the gate, and a spring, the spring being mounted between and against the locking element and the locking element, so that to release the gate the user simply rotates the locking element away from the peninsular portion and then rotates the closure portion in, towards the mouth of the hook.

If the Rope (24) has been clipped improperly, in a fashion known within the art as back-clipping, and the climber falls, the presence of the Sloped Extension Ann (46) serves to divert the rope away from the Pivoting Gate Member (42), thus preventing the Rope (24) from becoming unclipped from the Improved Carabiner (38). An Improved Carabiner Alternate Embodiment (52) is presented in which a Secondary Pivoting Member (54) blocks the Rope from access to the Pivoting Gate Member (58). A Second Alternate Embodiment Carabiner (82) is presented which utilizes the outward force of the Rope (24) to lock the Pivoting Gate Member, Second Alternate Embodiment (100).

Abstract: A clutch for an earring or other ornament post has a resilient pincer disk with an opening defining a pair of arms connected to each other by a resilient bridge. The arms have arcuate surfaces to engage the post. A V-shaped opening extends from the arms and contains a wedge movable for spreading the pincer arms to release the post. A holder receives the wedge and disk and for holding the wedge in engagement with the disk and a part of the wedge extends beyond the holder and defines an activation button to be pushed for moving the wedge with respect to the disk.

The attachment portion includes a cavity with a load end and a lock end, and opposing arms defining a slot. A keeper with two gates is movably mounted adjacent the slot. The keeper has a lock position and a load position, with a first gate partitioning the load end from the lock end in the keeper load position and a second gate partitioning the load end from the lock end in the keeper lock position.

Abstract: An automatic mechanical lockdown for releasably attaching a litter to a transportable life support system has a base having a recess formed therein and a generally arcuate latch typically attached to the base. The recess of the base is sized to receive a pole of a litter. The latch has open and closed positions with respect to the recess such that the latch is pushed from the closed position thereof to the open position thereof when a litter pole is moved toward the recess of the base. The latch returns and remains in the closed position thereof when a litter pole is disposed within the recess. A spring which is attached to the base and the latch biases the latch in the closed position thereof. The latch can be moved from the closed position to the open position thereof by a person's thumb while the person maintains his grasp upon a litter pole.
