  • Patent number: 10849391
Abstract: A buckle assembly includes a female buckle body that interchangeably mates with either one of a male buckle body or a retainer ring defining a leading bar. The female buckle body has a receptacle to receive an extension portion of the male buckle body slidable therein. A biased lever body is pivotally supported on the female buckle body for cooperating with a catch on the male buckle body between a blocking position retaining the extension portion in the receptacle and a released position allowing removal of the extension portion. The female buckle body also has a slot aligned with the receptacle to receive the leading bar of the retainer ring therein so that the lever body can also selectively retain the retainer ring mated with the female buckle body.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an integrated buckle of metal and plastics, comprising a female buckle and a male buckle. The male buckle comprises a male buckle body and left and right pins connected to the male buckle body. The male buckle body is made of metal, the left and right pins are connected to the male buckle body by rotating shafts to form a side-to-side rotational structure. A plastic flick piece is located between two pins, the plastic flick piece is fixed to the male buckle body. An elastic arm is located on both sides of plastic flick piece respectively, the two elastic arms hold two pins respectively. The present invention uses metal material to make male buckle body and pins, and the elasticity of pins is derived from the elastic arms on both sides of plastic flick piece.

  • Publication number: 20120291241
Abstract: For each capture mechanism of a plurality of three capture mechanisms, a necked coupling element received by a corresponding socket slides therealong and engages a corresponding latch lever biased in an open position and rotates the latch lever to a closed position as the necked coupling element is slid within the socket towards a bottom thereof. A latch locked biased against the latch lever engages a notch in the latch lever when the latch lever is closed so as to latch the latch lever in the closed position and thereby capture the necked coupling element within the socket. The latch lever is unlatched by releasing the latch lock from engagement with the latch. Different latch levers incorporate different shaped surfaces that engage different corresponding necked coupling elements captured thereby so as to provide for respectively constraining in one, two and three degrees-of-freedom, respectively.

Abstract: In a belt buckle for safety belts, particularly in motor vehicles, for receiving and locking an insertable tongue having a housing and, arranged therein, an insertion path for the insertable tongue, with the path containing a spring-loaded ejector, and having a locking element which is pivotably mounted in the buckle and, in the locked position, engages in the tongue recess and is secured in the locked position via a securing member movably mounted in the buckle, and having a slidable actuator for releasing the locking element, which is guided in the housing transversely with respect to the plane of movement of the locking element and which, to protect it from shock, cooperates with a counterweight guided in the housing, the intention is to simplify the construction of the buckle for the purpose of shock prevention and reduce the mass of the parts which cooperate in the event of acceleration of the buckle.

  • Patent number: 4913078
Abstract: A convertible bank anchor and mooring device with a locking cylinder is shown for use with watercraft. The anchor has an elongated tube, or pole, having a ball and socket coupling at one end joined to the side of the boat and an inverted, downturned hook member at the opposite end of the pole for engagement with a tree bough or trunk on shore. There is a lock and key cylinder associated with the socket of the coupling to prevent the unauthorized disengagement of the coupling when the bank anchor is reversed and used as a mooring device. The hook member has a longitudinal swivel connection to the pole, and the ball and socket coupling comprises a stationary socket mechanism attached to one sidewall of the boat having a housing supporting a fixed clamping jaw and a spring-biased clamping jaw urged toward the fixed jaw to provide a female socket.

  • Patent number: 4809409
Abstract: A belt lock for safety belt systems, more especially a small-size lock, comprising a lock housing with a closure mechanism which contains an ejector, with a release key and with at least one eye for the fastening of a first belt strap end, and at least two further endpieces, held in the working position by the mechanism, for further belt strap ends. The endpieces have respective detent arms which overlie one another and are held in a predetermined plug-in position with respect to one another in the working position, being unlockable by means of the release key co-operating with a metal spring which actuates the ejector. The closure mechanism has mutually opposed resilient counter-detent tongues which receive between them the detent tongues of the endpieces and in that the release key which unlocks the detent tongues is provided on a lateral narrow side of the lock housing. The entire belt lock with the exception of the ejector spring is made of plastics material.

  • Patent number: 4803760
Abstract: The present invention discloses an improved coupling system capable of releasably joining and two or more of a variety of cooperative male/female mating items to be temporarily joined and released by a remotely positioned operator by means of a cable connected to the male member. Spring-biased positive forces within the female assembly otherwise tending to separate the male/female members are used to reliably capture the male component. A relatively small adjustable triggering force activated by the cable moving an activating pin triggers ejecting movement of the female capturing members. The male member forms a cavity containing gripping members that slidably grip the cable. The cavity is accessible to the operator.

  • Patent number: 4797984
Abstract: A buckle is constructed of a base, latch piece, holding member and release member. The base has a bottom wall and side walls defining substantially L-shaped holes. The latch piece is supported on the base rockingly between a tongue latching position and a tongue non-latching position. The holding member is received at both end portions in the holes displaceably between a holding position, where the end portions are in the horizontal portions of the corresponding holes so as to hold at the latching position the latch piece which has been in the latching position, and a non-holding position where the end portions are in the vertical portions of the corresponding holes so as to permit movement of the latch piece from the latching position. The release member is provided displaceably between a non-operated position and an operated position and adapted to bring the holding member to the non-holding position and the latch piece to the non-latching position when the release member assumes the operated position.

  • Patent number: 4733444
Abstract: A seat belt buckle comprises a pivoted latch plate biased to a latched position and kept in that position by a control member slidably carried on the latch plate and biased to a position in which blocking portions cover notches at the edges of the latch plate. Control projections on the sides of a channel-shaped frame are engaged by the blocking portions in the latched position but accept the notches in the latch plate when the control member is moved by a release button to uncover the notches. Cam surfaces on the frame sides coact with cam follower surfaces on the control member to lift the control member and latch plate when the release button is depressed. Anchor projections on the frame sides are received in the notches in the latch plate in the latched position and transfer loads from the latch plate to the frame.

  • Patent number: 4711003
Abstract: The present invention discloses a unique, self-aligning, quick-releasing coupling system capable of releasably joining male/female items for permanent or temporary joining. One or preferably two jaw members are supported for movement between capturing and releasing positions on a support structure on a pair of cylindrical pivots connected to the structure. Tension springs carried by the capturing members and interrelated with the support structure biases the capturing members to the releasing position. A locking member including a shaft with a pair of pins capable of being rotated via the shaft in and out of a pair of recesses in the jaw members from releasing mode either respectively locks the jaw members into the capturing mode or unlocks from the jaw members in the releasing mode. The shaft is operated by a lever connected to a brass plate by an expansion spring which biases the pins via the shaft towards the locking mode.
